Unbelievably Boring Bart is a Children's Novel by James Patterson and Duane Swierczynski.

Bartholemew Bean is perhaps the most uninteresting kid the world has ever known. He's the kind of kid the teacher skips over the name of at role call. The kind of kid every bully in the school targets. The kind of kid who puts the class to sleep when giving their presentation. So, yeah, not the most exciting kid in the world. Except for one detail...

He's programming an app game.

Yeah, that's right, the most uninteresting person on Earth knows how to make a game. It's an Augmented Reality Game called "HECKLR", where the Earth is being invaded by a race of electricity-eating aliens called Lerkians, and you have to scare them off by hurling insults at them. He decided to develop this game in secret to deal with his dad moving them from his home in Philadelphia, to sunny, OH SO sunny Rancho Verdugo, California.

Anyway, Bart decides to share his new game with his only friend in Rancho Verdugo, CyberGirl03, one night, and the next day, he discovers everyone in town is playing it. HECKLR quickly becomes the most popular game around, and everyone, even Bart's bullies, are playing it. Everyone that is, except Bart's dad, who's more about athletics and physical activity than those fancy shmancy devices all the kids have their eyes glued to these days. Bart can't really play it either, though that's because he needs to keep on programming it to get rid of any/all bugs that have been popping up in the game's code since so many people got into it.

The book was released on September 3rd, 2018.
