Kevin McCarthy (February 15, 1914 — September 11, 2010) was an American stage and screen actor best known for his roles in Death of a Salesman (1951), Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956), Innerspace (1987), and UHF (1989).
He was married to Augusta Dabney and Kate Crane and had five children, three with Dabney and two with Crane. His older sister was the writer Mary McCarthy and he was distant cousins with US Senator and 1968 Democratic presidential candidate Eugene McCarthy.
McCarthy died in 2010 at the age of 96 from pneumonia.
Not to be confused with (and no relation to) former US House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
