Barbara Barrie (born Barbara Ann Berman; May 23, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American stage and screen actress. She is best known for Barney Miller, Breaking Away, and Suddenly Susan. She was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for Breaking Away and was subsequently nominated for an Emmy Award for reprising the role on the TV series adaptation.
Barrie was married to Jay Harnick until his death in 2007. The couple had two children.
