DC Pride 2022 is an special Anthology Comic published for Pride month in 2022. It contains eleven separate stories, ten of which are focused on queer DC characters and the last of which is a autobiographical story by Kevin Conroy. There was also a DC Pride: Tim Drake Special published in connection with the main DC Pride volume and introduced a storyline completed in Tim Drake: Robin. 2022 was the second year in which DC published an anthology comic of stories about their queer characters for pride month.

The stories therein contained include:

  • "Superman: Super Pride" featuring Jon Kent written by Devin Grayson with art by Nick Robles.
  • "Nubia: Confessions" featuring Nubia written by Stephanie Williams with art by Meghan Hetrick.
  • "Connor Hawke: Think of Me" featuring Connor Hawke by Ro Stein and Ted Brandt.
  • "Alysia Yeoh: Up at Bat" featuring Alysia Yeoh written by Jadzia Axelrod with art by Lynne Yoshii.
  • "Aquaman: A World Kept Just for Me" featuring Jackson Hyde written by Alyssa Wong with art by W. Scott Forbes.
  • "Green Lantern: The Gumshoe in Green" featuring Jo Mullein written by Tini Howard with art by Evan Cagle.
  • "The Ray: Public Display of Electromagnetism" featuring Ray Terrill written by Greg Lockard with art by Giulio Macaione.
  • "Batwoman: Bat's in the Cradle" featuring Kate Kane written by Stephanie Phillips with art by Samantha Dodge.
  • "Robin: Special Delivery" featuring Tim Drake written and drawn by Travis Moore.
  • "Harley Quinn & Poison Ivy: The Hunt" featuring Harley Quinn & Poison Ivy written by Dani Fernandez with art by Zoe Thorogood.
  • "Kid Quick: "Are You Ready for This?" featuring Jess Chambers written by Danny Lore and Ivan Cohen with art by Brittney Williams.
  • "Kevin Conroy: Finding Batman" written by Kevin Conroy with art by J. Bone.


Superman: "Super Pride"Jon Kent goes to a pride parade where he rides a float wearing a rainbow cape as Superman.
  • Adaptational Sexuality: Dawnstar and Brainiac 5 of the Bendisboot Legionnaires are identified as bisexual and demisexual respectively.
  • Back from the Dead: 20 years after they were unceremoniously killed off, Dorothy Spinner and Coagula of the Doom Patrol are seen together in the parade. This wouldn't last, as the later miniseries Unstoppable Doom Patrol would have writer Dennis Culver disregard their resurrections and establish them as still being deceased.
  • Motive Misidentification: Damian is eager to support his friend Jon, but seems to think they're going to Pride in order to stop riots that break out after researching the history of pride. Jon tells him they're going to celebrate though whether Damian was expecting trouble from the Pride participants or bigots isn't cleared up. Damian seems to find the idea that he's not going to get to fight anyone disappointing.
  • Sealed with a Kiss: The tale closes out on Jon kissing Jay.

Nubia: "Confessions"Nubia tells her partner Io about a time she got roped into doing a wrestling match for fundraising during their anniversary dinner.


  • Circling Birdies: Giganta has stars circling her head as she comes to from being knocked out.
  • Romantic Candlelit Dinner: "Confessions" starts with Nubia and Io finishing up a romantic anniversary dinner.
  • Sealed with a Kiss: "Concessions" ends with Nubia and Io kissing.
  • Wrecked Weapon: Nubia confesses that her sword got broken in a battle she hadn't told Io about, and thus recounts the tale.

Connor Hawke: "Think of Me"Connor helps rescue concert goers under Music Meister's control and hands the villain over to police while trying to compose a letter coming out to his mother.


  • Canon Immigrant: This is the story that brought over popular Batman: The Brave and the Bold villain, the Music Meister, to the comics universe.
  • Coming-Out Story: Connor's narration boxes are his composing a letter to his mother coming out as asexual. His father giving him tickets to events for himself and a "date" repeatedly helped him come to terms with and understand his sexuality, which is why fighting Music Meister at a music hall brought it to mind for him.
  • Mind Control: Music Meister makes the attendees at the concert attack Connor, forcing Connor to find ways to restrain and avoid them without hurting them while getting close enough to apprehend Music Meister.
  • The Music Meister: The Trope Namer makes his comics canon debut here.
  • Named by the Adaptation: The Music Meister's real name was never revealed during his sole appearance in Batman: The Brave and the Bold. Here, he's given the real name "Darius Chapel".

Alysia Yeoh: "Up at Bat"Alysia Yeoh leaves a Trans Wellness convention disheartened at the lack of progress on trans rights and the rise in violence against trans people, and is surprised by an injured Batgirl asking for her help. While helping tend to Batgirl's wounds she discovers a tracker lodged in one of them and borrows an armored jacket to fight off the villain arriving to try to take advantage of Batgirl's state.


  • Pre-Asskicking One-Liner: Alysia shouts "I've got a Bat-girl for you!" as she swings a bat into Killer Moth's head as he searches for Batgirl, who is injured and whom Alysia just helped.
  • Tracking Device: Alysia finds a tracking device in the spike she helps Batgirl (Babs) get out of her leg.
  • Trans Tribulations: Alysia is frustrated that with all her years of activism she's still fighting the same fights for rights and equality and that violence against trans people is rising.
  • Wrecked Weapon: Moth breaks Alysia's bat, and her nose, when she steps in to prevent him from attacking an injured Batgirl. She ends up stabbing the broken end into his jetpack, defeating him.

Aquaman: "A World Kept Just for Me"Jackson tries to come to terms with his heritage and past while getting to know his partner Ha'Wea's family, and showing Ha'Wea his own life in return.


  • Greasy Spoon: Jackson takes Ha'Wea to New Mexico to the little town he grew up in while his mother was hiding him, and introduces him to the Carly's Diner where he and him mom used to go to once a week. Ha'Wea is impressed with how many things are on the menu and Jackson says that they're all great and greasy.
  • Meet the In-Laws: Ha'Wea brings Jackson to meet his family, and while Jackson is hesitant at first since they address him as Ha'Wea's boyfriend right away and they haven't put that label on their relationship yet he finds them sweet.
  • Sealed with a Kiss: Ha'Wea gives Jackson a tender kiss after Jackson opens up to him about his past and the way he's grown to understand his mother's actions and the fear which drove them.
  • Talking to the Dead: Jackson talks to the statue of his great-grandfather, even though the man died before Jackson got a chance to meet him.

Green Lantern: "The Gumshoe in Green"Jo returns to the City Enduring and is disappointed that Syzn seems to be avoiding her. A keh-Topli woman asks her to investigate her husband, claiming he's cheating on her, but she turns out to have hired her under false pretenses and she and her husband have more sinister plans.



The Ray: "Public Display of Electromagnetism"Ray comes to terms with being open about his relationship with Xenos.


  • Sealed with a Kiss: Ray avoids kissing Xenos in front of the team, and pushes him away at the start of the story, but grows more comfortable with their relationship and feels bad for treating him that way. He kisses him, blocking the screen the team is trying to watch a movie on, at the story's close.
  • Virtual Training Simulation: Ray and Vixen are training with and testing out a new simulator Xenos has been developing with Ryan.

Batwoman: "Bat's in the Cradle"Kate and her father deal with terrorists while her father muses on the pride and love he has for her.



Robin: "Special Delivery"Tim's attempt to get himself and a cake to his boyfriend to spend pride with him is hindered by Mico & Macro committing a robbery.


  • Carrying a Cake: Tim gets in a fight with Mico & Macro while trying to bring a small cake to his boyfriend for their Pride celebrations. The frosting ends up a bit smeared but it's otherwise fine.

Harley Quinn & Poison Ivy: "The Hunt"Harley comes up with a rather unique idea for a date with Ivy, but their fun is interrupted by twisted doppelgangers of each other.


  • The Power of Love: The twisted doppelgangers are destroyed by Harley and Ivy talking about their love for each other.

Kid Quick: "Are You Ready for This?"Kid Quick foils a robbery at a pride parade, aided by Teen Justice.


Kevin Conroy: "Finding Batman"Kevin Conroy explains how his life of trying to keep his private relationships private in order to get work while dealing with bigotry, family troubles and watching his friends die in the AIDS pandemic made his role as Batman such a perfect fit for him.


  • Biography: "Finding Batman" is an autobiography written by Kevin Conroy.
  • Heteronormative Crusader: Conroy discusses a producer that convinced him to stay in Hollywood for a potential job, then ignored his calls for weeks before finally answering to use slurs and accuse Conroy of misleading him before telling him there's no way he's getting that job or any other for the network because the producer has heard he's gay.
  • Tragic AIDS Story: Conroy talks about how many gay men in the entertainment industry died of AIDS, with so many of his friends dying it felt like an entire generation was lost.

DC Pride: Tim Drake SpecialA compilation of connected stories from Batman: Urban Legends as well as an original new tale. The story started here continues in Tim Drake: Robin.


  • Captured on Purpose: Tim gets himself caught by the chaos cult to find where they've been taking their abducted victims.
  • Dating What Daddy Hates: Bernard's parents have disapproved of Tim since high school when they were just friends, and are not at all happy to learn that Bernard is now dating him.
  • Dressing as the Enemy: Tim steals the chaos monster mask and robes from one of the Children of Dionysus cultists in order to infiltrate their ceremony and rescue Bernard and the other kidnapped victims.
  • Instant Sedation: The chaos cult member that abducts Bernard uses chloroform powder to quickly knock out Tim after managing to catch his attempt to punch him. As the cult isn't too concerned about killing bystanders when abducting victims to sacrifice the potential of causing Tim serious damage wasn't something they were worried about.
  • Just in Time: Tim arrives and throws a batarang and disarms the lead cultist just as he is are swinging the knife down to sacrifice Bernard.
  • Punch Catch: When Tim tries to punch the cultist attacking the restaurant where he and Bernard were having a date the masked man manages to easily catch his punch and use the resulting hold to slam Tim into the ground while tossing chloroform powder in his face.
  • Religion of Evil: The Children of Dionysus are a Gotham based cult that is enamored with Dionysus' chaos aspect and kidnaps teenagers to beat them and then cut out their hearts in human sacrifices. They notably only kidnap teens who are caught asking questions about them.
  • Secret Relationship: Tim masks what he's doing when he goes on his first date with Bernard, as it's his first non-het romantic relationship and he's still figuring out his own bisexuality. He does come out to his friends and family later.
  • Targeted Human Sacrifice: The Children of Dionysus are kidnapping teenagers who are at odds with or distant from their parents and who are questioning themselves and their place in the world with the intent to sacrifice them on an altar. Not only does this mean that there is a push to label their victims runaways the "chaos" of their minds as they are not settled in what they are and want to be is attractive to the cult which worships chaos.
