The Critical Role campaigns have had multiple comic book spinoffs.

  • Vox Machina Origins - A series of volumes dealing with the meeting and pre-stream adventures of Vox Machina.
  • Mighty Nein Origins - A series dealing with the histories of the Might Nein before they met.
  • Critical Role: The Tales of Exandria (2021) - A four-issue comic series from Dark Horse focusing on on side characters and stories. It is written by Darcy Van Poelgeest (Little Bird) and illustrated by CoupleOfKooks, with covers by Helen Mask and creative consultation from Matthew Mercer.
    • The Bright Queen: Released October 20, 2021.
      Leylas Kryn, the Bright Queen of the Kryn Dynasty, has spent multiple lives in pursuit of assembling the Luxon. With her eternal lover Quana at her side, she will stop at nothing to use its otherworldly power to bring a Golden Age to the peoples under her rule. So, when what might be another piece of the Luxon appears nearby, Leylas sends Quana to collect it... with consequences that may threaten the entire Dynasty!
  • The Legend of Vox Machina: Whitestone Chronicles: An upcoming series of prequel graphic novels from Dark Horse set in the continuity of the cartoon. Written by Marieke Nijkamp with art by Tyler Walpole.
    • Ripley: To be released in 2024.
      Tragedy strikes the renowned de Rolo family of Whitestone when they’re massacred by the vicious Briarwoods. Luckily for Dr. Anna Ripley, the bloodshed and regime change presents the perfect opportunity for her to further her own dark plans in service to Whitestone’s new ruling family. But just how much of her loyalty lies with the family, when compared to her work?
