Chick and dude magnets in fan works.

Male

  • A New Life Era: Moe ends up as a chick magnet after defeating Erik Masspunch.
  • Kensuke ends up becoming one in Advice and Trust after Rei invokes Magnetic Girlfriend. Asuka and Shinji have a hard time grasping how this happened.
Asuka: Kensuke Aida has two girlfriends. And it’s their idea. And he’s cancelling on a bunch more girls for them. I want off this planet, Shinji. It’s clearly gone nuts.
  • The Amazing Spider-Man: True Purpose draws attention to Spider-Man's status as this; when Red Sonja makes her debut and affirms that she is there to rescue her ‘love’, Iron Man openly questions how Peter can declare himself unlucky when he has the attention of women like that.
  • In The Apprentice, the Student, and the Charlatan, Nova Shine gets a few admirers, including Twilight Sparkle and the antagonist Envy. Come a trip to the past, he attracts Clover the Clever, Summer Blossom, Shimmer Silvermane, a host of unseen mares who apparently vied for the position of Faithful Student just to be around him, and even Nightmare Moon.
  • The Awakening of a Magus: Harry becomes one, thanks to both his new appearance and the changes in personality. He also has a Veela-like aura, although of course that one is suppressed to the best of his ability.
  • Becoming Lífþrasir: Apparently Cattongue is very popular among the Bog Burglars, with one particular Noodle Incident involving a cousin of Camicazi's that won't take no for an answer. Too bad for them he only has eyes for Astrid.
  • In The Boy Behind The Mask, Hiccup ends up becoming this to the Free Folk within his first week among them. Considering he was considered less than average for most of his life, this makes Hiccup rather uncomfortable.
  • Cody Anderson of Total Drama fame might not have luck with human women, but thanks to a certain pheromone he gives off he is extremely attractive to 'monster' girls. So not long after transferring to Monster High in A Canadian at Monster High he finds himself with several ghoulfriends, and is being 'at least' eyed up by every other ghoul in school.
  • Child of the Storm has Tony as his usual reformed playboy self. Most of the other male Avengers also scrub up pretty well.
    • Magneto, who like canon, looks rather younger than he should and is noted to be rather handsome in a Silver Fox sort of way, enough to attract women who are his oldest daughter's age, if not younger, and the reason he has at least three children (Wanda, Pietro, and Lorna).
    • Sean Cassidy a.k.a. Banshee, who thanks to a Noodle Incident involving the First Class of X-Men, Magneto, and a living island, looks about half his actual age and is the recipient of drooling attention from most of the female students.
    • Warren Worthington III a.k.a. Archangel stands out, with even Professor McGonagall commenting that he's hot (in her words: "I'm old, not dead"). He counts Jean Grey among his exes, and in the second book is dating Betsy Braddock.
    • After Harry hits a growth spurt, he becomes this. His opinion on this is mixed at best. This only increases in the sequel, leading to the embarrassing interest of a lot of his schoolmates and the somewhat horrifying interest of Yelena Belova a.k.a. Black Widow II - though she's mostly trying and press Natasha's Berserk Button (it doesn't work - or rather, it does, but not as intended) and replicate a 'superior' variation on the Black Widow/Winter Soldier dynamic once he becomes the Red Son - which involves raping his Empty Shell, which is understandably horribly traumatic once he gets those memories back.
    • Remy LeBeau a.k.a. Gambit a.k.a. Remy Summers is this trope, with a lot of straight women being Distracted by the Sexy when he's around.
  • Children of an Elder God: Shinji is meek, quiet, self-effacing... and girls are obsessed with him. And he has no idea why. Mere minutes after meeting him Asuka was already clinging to him, and Touji commented that Shinji had all girls behind him despite being a dweeb.
  • In Collapse of Eastern Fantasy, Touma Kamijou manages to inadvertently attract nearly the entire population of Gensokyo. It is explained that they sense his Imagine Breaker and are filled with fear and bloodlust because it can destroy any of them with a single touch, but this feeling also arouses them.
  • Enforced onto Marco Diaz in Cleaved: AFTERMATH a Star vs. the Forces of Evil and primarily SCP Foundation mega-crossover, where after finding out the truth of his existence note , he's told that the reason he has so many cute girls in his life was so he didn't end up with Star as he became more real. That Jackie had existed solely so Star didn't end up with him, and all the other women who entered his life were fates attempts to pair him off with someone other than the princess, and that any of them would have fallen for him if he'd just had let go of his feelings for her.
  • Emeris Fillson in Consequences of Unoriginality is one as a result of a curse that he dubs "the Gary-Stu-ness Effect''. The only character completely immune to it is Princess Celestia.
  • A Dance on the Mats has Anon as a downplayed example. All of the Rainbooms appreciate Anon's handsome looks, but only Rainbow (and Caramel) shows explicit romantic interest in him.
  • In The Darwin Chronicles, Scott Summers draws telepaths "like manure draws flies". No one knows why, but everyone agrees it is creepy.
Warren: "I refer to the era they spent stalking each other while she waited for him to get legal and he hooked up with Emma Frost and refined his telepath mojo."
    Logan: "Telepath mojo?"
Scott: "I don't have — And no one stalked anyone –"
Warren: "Telepaths find him irresistible. He draws them like manure draws flies. No one's sure why. It's actually rather creepy. Before Jean, there was Emma. Before Emma, there was –"
  • In Dauntless (Allora Gale), Lelouch is this even more so than he was in canon. Once he is outed as a prince, he is quickly voted as "Most Eligible Bachelor" and has crazed fangirls trying to sneak into his residence. Gets downplayed after his arranged marriage. Jeremiah Gottwald is a lesser example when he attends a party at Ashford Academy in his and Suzaku's honor. He is very disturbed by the teenage girls' attraction to him.
  • Despair's Last Resort has Hikaru implied to be this. He has a number of fangirls, and is actually relieved that the girls in the resort don't have feelings for him. However, the fact that he's cheated on all his previous girlfriends gives off the implication that he's faking this. But since he's dead, there's no way to know.
  • Discworld:
  • To his dismay, the Doctor in both Doctor Whooves Adventures and its Recursive Fanfiction Doctor Whooves – The Series is quite attractive. Especially in Doctor Whooves – The Series, where he has to resort to running the hay away from the incensed (married!) ladies.
  • In A Dragon's Journey, Spike marries the three brides he HAS to marry barely a couple months into his nearly year-long trip, has an Accidental Marriage to another woman not long after, and there are hints he'll have more wives soon enough, and is quite the gentleman. Yes he's a chick magnet!
  • Naruto in Drifting; many girls are attracted to him because of his selfless personality, the fact that he is very good looking and wears clothes that show off his abs is just icing on the cake. Very much wish fulfillment on the author's part since Naruto was none of those things in canon.
  • Earth and Sky: Pipsqueak, who is described as "sma-hoking hot", and is eye candy for every mare in his age group. This is especially frustrating for Apple Bloom, before and after they hook up.
  • Papa Smurf in the Empath: The Luckiest Smurf story "Virtual Smurfality" becomes this when he ends up being the only Smurf left in the Imaginarium beach setting and the imaginary Smurfettes are all chasing after him. Empath in his normal state can sometimes be this.
  • Heroes of the New World; Izuku manages to gain the affections of four (possibly five) women during his time in the One Piece world- Ulti, Xandra, Charlotte Galette, Uta, and Yamato.
  • Dude Magnet example in Hetalia: Axis Powers fanfic Gankona, Unnachgiebig, Unità: Germany, Japan, and Prussia were attracted to Italy. Not that he seemed to notice.
  • All the women (and some men) will inevitably fall for Luca Heartfilia in The Gender Bend Cliche, whether it be for his Pretty Boy looks or his Nice Guy nature. Even Juvia, Single-Target Sexuality incarnate, has trouble keeping her eyes solely on Gray when Luca is around.
  • Blaine is a Dude Magnet in Hunting the Unicorn. What he lacks in numbers, he makes up for in sadness. And terror.
  • In Karma in Retrograde, Touya Todoroki is an instant heartthrob the moment Jirou, Shouji, and Tokoyami get him out of his Rummage Sale Reject outfit, with random girls hitting on him in the mall to his embarrassment.
Kaminari: I knew this was going to happen. Our chances with girls decrease with every Todoroki apparently.
Touya: Don't worry, I'm not going to be stealing girls from you.
Kaminari: You don't have to. They'll come flocking to you, leaving the rest of us poor souls behind.
  • John, much to his sorrow, in The Keys Stand Alone: The Soft World. (Even the guys want him in C'hou, where there is no taboo against same-sex [and other] relationships.) He's been transformed into a muscular, graceful, winged demigod that people openly talk about wanting to fuck... but he's no longer human and therefore has no sexual interest in humans. In fact, the idea of having sex with a normal woman is now vaguely repulsive to him. Sigh.
    • George remains attractive to alien women as long as at least part of him is human (he gets ogled as a centaur, for example). He'd prefer not to have sex with them, since he misses his wife very badly, but once he made it with a spy to distract her while John pretended to have sex with another woman while he tried to telepathically interrogate her. See above for why Hilarity Ensued.
    • Ringo actually gets the most women; both Ranala and Cirelle are extremely interested in him.
  • Kitsune no Ken: Fist of the Fox: Uchiha Sasuke is the most popular boy at Konoha High School, drooled over and idolized by most of the girls...not like he cares.
  • Koi No Yokan: Kiryu knows that there are several women who are into him, but he's not interested in any of them. Of particular note is the woman who lives in the apartment across the street, because he has yet to put curtains on his window and she gets a fantastic view of him every morning. Hilariously, she has no idea who he is even though he's a local celebrity.
  • Kyon, the titular character in Kyon: Big Damn Hero. Being a brilliant martial artist as well as breaking up an illegal voyeuristic photography ring probably has something to do with it.
    • Koizumi too. All he has to do is walk into Kyon's class, and all the girls just stop what they're doing and stare.
  • The Many Dates of Danny Fenton: Surprising enough, Danny. With a few exceptions, he has managed to hit it off well with most of the girls he has gone out with.
    • Even Savannah Shane, Angelica's rival from All Grown Up!, is impressed by Danny and silently thinks he’s cute.
  • Little Hands, Big Attitude: Discussed. Shadow has a memory of Maria telling him that he's very handsome and when he grows up all the hedgehog girls will blush when he walks by. Unfortunately at the time the fic takes place, while he is grown up there aren't any female hedgehogs around.
  • Miraculous: Tales of Scarlet Beetle & Ikati Black: Much to Juleka's annoyance, her brother Luka is a bonafide dude magnet. Many of Juleka's male classmates have expressed how attracted they are to him, and Luka was able to sweep Prince Ali off his feet without any trouble.
  • My Life Can't Lose Its Normality, being a Fix Fic, turns Kyousuke into one of these. So far, every girl in the series (except Manami) acts like a total pervert around him.
  • In the Goblin Slayer, the titular character was one having the affections of Priestess, Cow Girl, Guild Girl, Sword Maiden and possibly High-Elf Archer. The Fix Fic Mulligan adds in several characters who were saved due to a timely intervention by Goblin Slayer such as Priestess's female party members from the doomed goblin quest, the female party from the abandoned elven fortress, and when he reveals his face after the Goblin Lord's attack on the farm, he basically gains every female adventurer's physical attraction, from Martial Artist, Witch and even Amazon Warrior even saying she plans on hunting for Goblin Slayer.
  • After being sent to the Maken-ki! world in Naruto: Ultimate Maken Shinobi, Naruto manages to attract the affections of, in order, Chacha, Kimi, Azuki, Aki, Minori and Furan (yes, he manages to turn a known lesbian bi-sexual). And that isn't even the full list.
    • Kengo manages to justify this (thanks to researching the phenomenon in the hopes of becoming a chick magnet himself) by pointing out that with everything Naruto has done to improve himself, combined with his good looks and....other things, Naruto has become a real life version of the the typical female's fantasy man.
  • The Inksona of Makerboy 10 has been often portrayed as quite a ladies man, with female characters from several franchises being fond of him, regardless of species.
  • In Neon Genesis Evangelion: Genocide, Shinji's female classmates are obsessed with him. Shinji doesn't care, and their behavior annoys him or embarrasses him.
  • The Newest Challenger: Naruto has managed to attract Sakura, Karen and Ibuki. Implied with Batsu. Ken has a theory that fighters like them (Ken, Ryu, Naruto, Batsu) tend to attract Action Girls.
  • In A New ROAD of Misfortune, Touma starts to gather the interest of not only his classmates, the girls from other schools, and his branch companions, but also his teacher, his trainer, and the secretary's trainer, too. The Kami-yan disease, its called.
  • Kyril from The Night Unfurls is not some magnet for women right off the bat, but later on, he receives love letters from noblewomen on a daily basis. He had to politely ask some members of the nobility to stop sending potential marriage candidates and servant women who would attend to more "personal needs" (though he does hire them to assist Evetta in what she was doing to keep his office presentable). Double points for being a Celibate Hero who is not amused with all the attention.
  • The One I Love Is...: When the story begins Shinji realizes there are actually several girls drawn to him. Asuka and Rei spend the whole story fighting over him, and he has no idea why they like him and is terrified of hurting either of them.
  • The Pirate's Soldier: Heero Yuy quickly catches the eye of Ryoko, Ayeka, Mihoshi, Kiyone and to a lesser extent Washuu, largely due to his brave and compassionate nature despite always trying to act professional and stoic. Dialogue from the other Gundam characters implies he's been fairly popular among females even before the start of the story.
  • Spike in the Ponies of Olympus series. In addition to Rarity finally realizing she returns his feelings, Wavedancer and Scales both develop crushes on him, and it's implied Scootaloo has a small one on him as well.
  • As far as the fanfic community is concerned, all of womankind exists to be shagged by Ranma Saotome. Browse the Ranma 1/2 section at Fanfiction.net, enter Ranma + anybody and watch the sheer number of fics you'll find. This is even more the case on the "Ranma 1/2 Lemon Archive" (NSFW) where you'll literally find hundreds, upon hundreds, of fanfics about Ranma boning women from nearly every anime, manga, video game, and television series under the sun.
  • Pokémon Reset Bloodlines: Ash Ketchum is aged to 15 years old, and by then he's developed a rather slim yet strong build, which coupled with his dark hair and swarthy skin makes him pretty good-looking in the eyes of many characters, including his female companions Misty, Iris, Anabel and Serena. During the story's Beach Episode, he gets the chance to show off his physique and many attractive women (some even older than him) try to flirt with him, much to his shock.
  • Remnant's Bizarre Adventure: Like the original manga, being a chick magnet is a prominent trait with the Joestar clan.
    • Jotaro yelling at Nora to not interrupt his class causes causes some female students to blush.
    • Josuke has several girls trying to ask him out after he comes to Beacon. Though he politely declines since he wants to wait for his True Love, much to his friend's amusement.
  • The renegade hero!!!....Invader Zim?: Zim is somehow one of these, with Betty having a fangirl crush on his misconceived hero persona, Lilo showing signs of being flattered by his appreciation of her skills with the experiments, and Gaz being implied to be attracted to his destructive skills.
  • In Danny Phantom fanfic Resurrected Memories: Danny, after the Disasteroid, has become an In-Universe example. He has hundreds of fan girls, Paulina being the most obvious. Even Ember ends up falling for him though much more genuinely then Paulina.
  • Otto in Ships Ahoy! ends up becoming this, with almost every single girl in Precinct 13579 commenting on how hot or cute he is and how they're jealous of his partnership with Olive (not knowing that he's in love with Opal and that he and Olive have a strict Like Brother and Sister relationship). Other fanfics connected to the Expanded Universe of the story would also establish that he's attracting guys as well as girls.
  • Spider-Man: Finding Home opens with Peter Parker post-Spider-Man: No Way Home meeting Kate Bishop and Yelena Belova after he befriends Kate in a college class following Spider-Man taking part in the fight with the Tracksuit Mafia. This friendship swiftly escalates to both women expressing an interest in a polyamorous relationship with him and each other, and Peter is further surprised when the relationship expands to include Shuri of Wakanda after a trip to the country to help fight Kraven the Hunter and former cat burglar Felicia Hardy (to say nothing of Peter and Kate's teacher, the one-armed Doctor Catherine Connors). Peter tries to deny that he has a harem, but when the girls all make it clear that he was the initial draw into the relationship, he’s eventually forced to concede that’s an accurate description.
  • This untitled fan-comic centers around Ezio effortlessly charming all the Soulcalibur V women. Natsu attributes it to his exotic Italian heritage.
  • Tails the Fox in the fanfic Tails of the Old Republic, a crossover / Fusion Fic between Sonic The Hedgehog and the videogame Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. It helps that he's now a strapping young teenager who's gone through an adolescent growth spurt. He's now 14 years old, 4 feet tall, and has a lean, well-cut physique. Tails gets hit upon my multiple characters, much to his confusion and embarrassment.
  • In The Tainted Grimoire, Luso has three girls who definitely like him. They are Kanin, Anna and Maria.
  • Despite his cold, cynical personality, Takeru from the Tamers Forever Series is still rather attractive to the ladies.
  • The Unexpected Love Life of Dusk Shine: Dusk Shine (gender-flipped Twilight) has the mane five girls attracted to him, plus Trixie and Luna.
  • Wandering Pilot has Shinji Ikari getting the attention of just about every lady of Queen's Blade. The trope is further reinforced as every woman has their own story and forges different relationships with him, from a Lust Object to a target of jealousy, yet develop steadily as the plot goes on. Also a justified trope as Shinji is an oddball in a world where males are usually antagonized, in addition to powerful healing abilities that make him even more attractive.
  • Emeth in Warriors of the World, to the point that both teenagers and women gasp and whisper when he passes by. He is markedly uncomfortable with the younger generation fawning over him, but uses his good looks and ladies' man skills to get information.
  • Weiss Reacts: Jaune Arc. He's smart enough to realise the unfortunate implications for him, and actively tries to avoid them. Given this is the Reactsverse, his attempts fail horribly.
  • In When Reason Fails, all the female Warlords are into Shoto and are romantically pursuing him.
  • Witches Wizards Shadows and Souls: Ryou and Thief King Bakura honestly consider Ryou's Chick Magnet status to be one of the worst things in the world. As in, they rank the presence of fangirls as a worse scenario than Yami Malik coming back from the dead. Kind of justified considering how Ryou frequently gets chased by mobs of fangirls or is at the receiving end of sexual harassment.
  • George in With Strings Attached; he's singled out for sex by Fi'ar and Ma'ar.
    • Paul attracts his share of women (and men), but for one or another reason he never actually wants or gets any.
    • After Ringo defeats Mung, he is mobbed by the Warrior Women and has so much sex that the next day he's “little better than a smear on the ground.”
  • In X-Men: The Early Years, Scott Summers is intellectually aware of the fact that he somehow draws women, but he's helpless as to why. As he complains, from an evolutionary point of view, he - a deeply damaged and emotionally repressed individual with no particular wealth or resources - is a very bad choice of mate. Jean's point of view just observes that he's genuinely hot, and a far better man than he believes himself to be.
  • Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc V: Pendulum's Fifth Swing: After Shun becomes an instructor at LDS as part of a deal with Akaba Reiji, he gets a huge female fanbase due to being skilled and very handsome, much to his disgruntled embarassment and Yuto's endless amusement.

Female

  • Child of the Storm:
    • Carol, much to her displeasure. She's a teenage Head-Turning Beauty who could pass for a college student and this translates to sexual harassment - explaining her spiky, defensive demeanour on her first appearance. His genuine Nice Guy traits (including putting their friendship first and scrupulously respecting her boundaries) goes a long way to make her soften and trust him more than she does any one else. Ironically, this actually increases the UST and Ship Tease between the two of them - and leads to them getting a Relationship Upgrade in chapter 46 of the sequel.
    • Fleur Delacour, as per canon, given that she's part Veela. Harry is one of the few people to Ignore the Fanservice, in part because the Veela allure is telepathic/empathic, and he has some very powerful psychic defences by that point. Plus, he's interested in someone else.
    • Betsy Braddock is gorgeous (and hinted to have some Fae/Avalonian ancestry), and can, and does, get pretty much any guy she wants. Since she's also perfectly aware of her Power Perversion Potential and uses it to become an effective Sex Goddess (she leaves Fandral, a 1500 plus year old god who was The Casanova more than a millennium before Casanova, in a very appreciative daze), she's had a fairly extensive dating history, and is happy to flirt with or without intention, such mock flirting with Dumbledore at the Yule Ball, and gently teasing Harry over his blatant crush on her. However, she stops the latter in the sequel, as she doesn't want to give the wrong impression - not necessarily to him, but to those observing a.k.a. Rita Skeeter, and she is entirely faithful to her boyfriend of the time. The only one to Ignore the Fanservice is Peter Wisdom, who reacts with resigned boredom when she flashes him (to get an idea of his character because she can't see past his psi-shields) and then irritation when she does it again (to annoy him).
    • Jean Grey has dated Warren Worthington III, dates her school's Big Man on Campus (until chapter 50 of Ghosts when Maddie reveals that he's cheating on her at an inopportune moment), has Scott Summers hopelessly in love with her and her cousin, Harry, finds her disconcertingly attractive. As Harry Dresden observes, she can probably get most guys to do whatever she wishes without any use of her powers.
    • Maddie, who happens to be Jean's stolen at birth twin, is mostly considered to be a bit eerie and disturbing (even when she doesn't mean to be) thanks to intentionally poor socialisation, which only deflects some of the attention she receives. Gambit, resident Chick Magnet, is dating her on her first appearance (though that relationship is complicated to say the least), Jono Starsmore is quite obviously head over heels for her, and Harry is noted to have a very definite attraction that goes beyond academic appreciation of her good looks even given that he's her second cousin.
  • crawlersout: Fem!Harry, being a beautiful, wealthy young woman from a respectable pureblood family, is this in the 1930s, where Voldemort is not hanging over her head to (metaphorically) kill all potential romantic prospects. While she is set to become an Official Couple with Tom Riddle Jr. when he's older (in-story, he's currently ten and being raised by Harry), that does not stop her from attracting attention from the opposite sex, including one Tom's teachers, the two older brothers of one of Tom's friends, and, of all people, Gellert Grindelwald.
  • In Lucky Star fic Máscara Sonreindo, Ayano is so popular with boys that she had to make up a boyfriend to get guys to lay off of her. When her girlfriend Misao finds out, she gets confused and thinks that Ayano is cheating on her.
  • In Pokémon Reset Bloodlines, Elite Four member Lorelei is tall and has a voluptuous figure, has many men trying to ask her out, and even Erika has expressed interest in her. Unfortunately for everybody, she's already in a happy relationship with her boyfriend Frey.
    • Among the main protagonists, Misty doesn't fall behind. Aside from Ash himself, she's gotten a fair number of guys commenting on her looks and trying to ask her out. It goes off to the roof when she wears a Little Black Dress for a nightclub date with Ash and starts attracting even more attention.
  • To Trisha's annoyance in Son of the Desert, she's popular with boys. She has many suitors coming to her on street for her beauty and status of being a seventh daughter. She ignores them all for Hohenheim.
  • StarKitsProphcy: Starpaw is barely 6 moons old when several adult males, including the Clan leader (and her great-grandfather) Firestar and even non-ThunderClan cats like Blackfoot, begin asking her to be their mate.
  • May I Have This Dance?: Weiss attracts men like bees to honey, but she hates it. Most of the men are lecherous and troublesome.
