The original founder of the X-Men. An idealist who believes that humans and mutants can live together in peace. He's pragmatic about it, though, considering he essentially runs a combat school. Lost the use of his legs during a fight with an alien called Lucifer who was planning an Alien Invasion, got it back after an intimate encounter with the Brood, was put back in his chair by the Shadow King, and is currently walking once again. Likes to keep secrets, thinking that redundant plans and safechecks are best for everyone, but this tends to bite him on the ass more often than not. Also tends to be obsessed about the cause to the detriment of his social life. Xavier is the world's most powerful telepath, being able to read and fully control the minds of large groups of people at a time.

Sunfire got his powers from his mother being poisoned by the radiation from the bomb dropped on Hiroshima. He vowed to use his radiation powers to fight a one-man war of revenge on the U.S., with the help of his Manipulative Bastard uncle Tomo. After his uncle revealed his true colors by murdering Sunfire's father, he surrendered himself to authorities. He was invited to join the new version of the X-Men, but only agreed to be on reserve status, because his temper and radiation powers combined means he doesn't play well with others.

A former Morlock, Lucia Callasantos shares the same ailuranthropic (Were-Cat) or cat/human hybrid mutation of her sister, Maria. She has overcome a life filled with tragedy and violence, but strives to make amends for the sins of her past. She was initially de-powered post M-Day, but has (through unknown means) become re-powered.


  • Cat Girl: Just like her sister.
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: She is the responsible one compared to her younger, much impulsive and violent sister.
  • Karma Houdini: Although she helped her sister to hide the corpses of their mother and step-father, Lucia was able to avoid being imprisoned for being accomplice.
  • Prehensile Tail: Thornn possesses a long, prehensile tail that she uses to help balance herself while running or during combat situations. She is also capable of supporting her weight with her tail.
  • Sibling Team: When she and Feral joined X-Corps together, although they still have some tensions.
  • The Bus Came Back: Years after her depowering and an appearance in a story arc of Wolverine, Lucia finally made a brief appearance in Krakoa, fully repowered.

A beautiful, somewhat conceited wealthy young man who has wings which allow him to fly. Initially one of the proudest members of the group, became more and more progressively useless when several other mutants were introduced who could fly, as well as do many other useful things. Once lost his wings in a fight, which caused him to do a Face–Heel Turn to get cybernetic replacement wings. Sometime after that, he developed regenerative blood which caused anyone touching it (foremost himself, obviously) to heal from any injury. Recently, this wasn't seen as quite enough, so Angel was upgraded to have the ability to switch at will between feathered Angel and evil, razor-winged Archangel forms.

Following the establishment of the mutant nation of Krakoa, Trinary worked alongside Cypher and Sage to monitor technological developments relating to Sentinels and the Mother Mold.
