    Eric Lancer/Furis
Eric Lancer is a Trainer that hails from the Region of Sinnoh, having arrived in Toro at the age of 16 to begin his career as a trainer alongside his trusted partner, Rylan the Riolu. Eric maintains a passionate, if somewhat short-tempered personality and prioritizes the wellbeing of innocent people and Pixelmon over his own, made apparent after a supposed "Ghost Hunt" left him with a rather bad first impression of the general population's stance towards Wild Pixelmon once the Trainers pursued a group of Misdreavus deep into their home, seeming to completely ignore Eric's bidding that they leave the Pixelmon be, having already beaten them when they attacked the Trainers in the woods. The result was, after the Gengar guardian was defeated and it became clear that Misdreavus could be lured out of a mysterious portal in the cave in exchange for a trinket, Eric decided to hide the entrance, with the help of two trainers that shared his point of view. His actions at the cave garnered notice from a member of Toro's Heroes and Eric was offered an invitation to train and help them, something Eric eagerly accepted. During his time in Toro, and even despite two very long absences, Eric has befriended Edgar Penn, the current premier(which he is not aware of having just returned), Crystal Ross, her wife, Netlia Ross (again Eric has no idea this has happened), Shiv, and Yukari, who gave him the Zorua, now Zoroark, that he has made a permanent part of his team.

When Eric joined the Heroes, he was required to adopt a public persona that would keep his identity secret. Much to Clypeus' (now Justicar, who is retired) chagrin, Eric went with a more intimidating look over an inspiring one, donning a cloak and mask as well as using a voice changer provided by the heroes to become Furis, who's name means Shadow. Eric's personality (when not at the hero base and only when around other heroes) changes drastically, becoming a much darker person who leaves no room for joking around and interacts little with the population of Toro. The reason behind this dramatic change has two reasons. The first reason is that this drastic personality change makes it extremely difficult to pin Eric himself as Furis' true identity, as they could not be more different if they weren't the same person. The second is to prove that Dark Is Not Evil which is further shown in his use of dark-types, which besides his Lucario, is the primary type for his team.

  • Badass Normal: While he's only been around longer than ONE other hero, Eric received a good deal of training from Clypeus/Justicar(who is far more badass), who, like everyone but Crystal, has no powers, using gear and Pixelmon to assist his combat capabilities and trains vigorously with his Pixelmon to perfect his teamwork with them.

  • Combat Pragmatist: As Furis, Eric throws a fair fight out the window, more than willing to catch his opponent off guard and hit them while they're down, focusing on ending the conflict as soon as possible rather than end it honorably. His gear is also there to give him an edge, and his combat style flows pretty well in conjunction to his Pixelmon's attacks, and he often fights alongside them.

  • Dark Is Not Evil: Furis, Eric's hero alter ego, wears black clothing complete with an intimidating mask, choosing instead to intimidate his enemies rather than inspire the citizens(something that, at first, Clypeus expressed concern with), who, when in combat, is absolutely ruthless and Eric's Team is mostly Dark-Type Pixelmon, all of which, while with their individual quirks, are in no way malicious and are generally friendly and approachable.

  • Nice Guy: Unless they're a condescending snob or bully, Eric is more than willing to help and befriend someone, regardless of whether or not he knows them and will sit down and cheer someone up if he thinks they're in tough spot emotionally. He even, despite PLENTY of prior warning from EVERYONE at the Hero Base and before he had his suit insulated, shook hands with Crystal, who shocks those who make contact with her and, while it was certainly not pleasant, showed no regret in his decision. His general nice guy personality extends to his Pixelmon.
