Lord Chanson Argentée
The lord of Gasconeigh, a Fancy city-state, he is an ally of Istanbull.
- The Atoner: For his nation's abuse of other peoples, trying to make amends and bring them together so that they can better survive Grogar.
- Happily Married: To Pearl Fisher, it was Love at First Sight, at least for him. He had to earn her respect the hard way.
- Love at First Sight: From his first look at Pearl Fisher he was in love. She was less keen, and he had to work hard to earn her respect, negotiating the return of the island he governed to her people.
- Modest Royalty: The only adornment in his apartment is his daughter's paintings. This earns Dim's approval. as Dim has personal standards on how the nobility should conduct themselves.
Pearl Fisher
Lord Argentée's wife, she's an islander, and somewhat out of place amongst the Fancy court he calls home.
- Fish out of Water: Her ways are strange to the court, something that is used against her.
- Happily Married: Once he'd earned her respect.
- You No Take Candle: Justified; her grasp on the Equestrian tongue is poor, so her speech is stilted.
Argentée Sonnet
Lord Argentée and Pearl Fisher's daughter.
- Chocolate Baby: An earth pony, which has caused for calls for Pearl to face trial for adultery.
- Shrinking Violet: Introduced hiding beneath her father.
Weaver Indigo
A cultist of Aunt Nancy, he lives in the death-cult compound north of Gasconeigh.
- Animal Motifs: Spiders, likely due to a close relationship with Aunt Nancy.
- Ascend to a Higher Plane of Existence: After his death, ascends to become part of the tapestry of the Weaver's magic.
- Astral Projection: Capable of it, he complains when it fails to help him find the Ascendancy stronghold.
- The Atoner: Was previously a terrorist.
- Colourful Theme Naming: With the other six Weavers.
- Covered with Scars: That have been dyed with purple ink.
- Heroic Sacrifice: Willingly faces his death to stop a false-alicorn's rampage.
- I Die Free: Was told he would not die until he was free, and interprets his choice to die as that freedom.
- Seeing Through Another's Eyes: Uses the eyes of birds and spiders to try and find the Ascendancy.
- We Hardly Knew Ye: Killed off a chapter after his introduction.
Weaver Yellow
Another of the Weavers.
- Animal Motifs: Spiders, like her deity.
- Colourful Theme Naming: Like the other six Weavers.
- Healing Hands: Yellow is the colour of disease and sickness, so she has power over it.
