The following teams are those who are a part of the "Challengers League" - those that are relegated from the "Glory Professional Alliance". To prevent spoilers on mid-series player transfers, characters are grouped in their initial organizations during the start of Season 8.

Everlasting | 无极
Considered one of the strongest teams in the Challengers League, "Everlasting" joined the professional league in Season 5 until they were relegated in the seventh season. In Season 8, they lose to Team "Time" in the finals of the "Revival Tournament". In their subsequent attempt for Season 9, they are eliminated by newcomer "Happy" in the Revival Tournament's second round. This leads to Everlasting's dissolution, with its players leaving to join other teams.
As A Team
- Disc-One Final Boss: Their strength in the Challengers League is slightly lower than "Excellent Era", with the author describing them as a "Final Boss worthy team" for any other season. Happy faces them immediately in the second round of the Revival Tournament.
- Glass Cannon: All of their starting characters are focused on dealing Area of Effect ranged-based damage, using a single Cleric with no defensive-based Character Classes.
- Ironic Name: After disbanding, the team isn't exactly "everlasting".
- Mirroring Factions: Wu Chen reflects how Everlasting started out from simple, humble beginnings, not unlike Happy, who is comprised of a Rag Tag Bunch Of Misfits.
- Not Cheating Unless You Get Caught: Spectators have a bird's-eye-view of the match and are banned from informing players of enemy positions. Knowing there are no referees in the early rounds, they break this rule multiple times by warning Everlasting players orally. In the live-action series, a supporter secretly informs the team through their headset communications; just when they're on the verge of losing, the connection is pulled to temporarily halt play so Everlasting can re-group.
He An (何安)
Manager of Everlasting.
- Adaptational Nice Guy: He has none of his bad traits in the live-action, and he's completely nice and sympathetic to Wu Chen after Everlasting gets relegated.
- Break the Haughty: After arrogantly introducing himself to Team Happy, his multiple defeats to Lord Grim and Happy reduces him to tears.
- Hypocrite: He An believes Ye Xiu stealing his brother Ye Qiu's identity to play professionally amounts to cheating, but he has no qualms about cheating itself when Everlasting is on the losing end.
- Insistent Terminology: He An insists he's not a manager - he's a "team leader".
- Smug Snake: He looks down on those he perceives as beneath him. This is evident with his disdain for Chen Guo, an amateur club owner of a grassroots team, who is attempting to buy into the league with little-to-no experience about the professional scene.
- We Can Rule Together: He An believes Everlasting and Ye Xiu can win the Revival Tournament together and attempts to recruit him. Ye Xiu sincerely agrees and offers to recruit Everlasting instead.
Wu Chen (伍晨)

Wu Chen is the captain of Everlasting. He joins Happy as its guild leader after Everlasting's liquidation.
- Ascended Extra: After Everlasting is disbanded, rather than recruit him as Happy's guild leader in the live-action drama, the team places him on their roster for the rest of the Challengers League.
- Easily Forgiven: Zigzagged in the live-action series. When all of Team Happy find out that Wu Chen was cheating in the Challengers League, at least half of them are wary of him when he's first recruited into Happy even when they're informed of the pragmatic value of enlisting him, and the only ones who are sympathetic to him from the get-go are Chen Guo and Ye Xiu. Granted, Wu Chen eventually gets fully accepted into the team later on.
- The Easy Way or the Hard Way: Due to bad blood between Everlasting and Happy, he has the option of telling Everlasting's guilds of Happy's new ownership of them or staying silent. He decides to announce it because Wu Chen doesn't want to cheat Everlasting's fans.
- Field Promotion: He was the vice-captain of the team and was promoted to captain after his predecessor's retirement.
- Hate Sink: In-Universe. He personally announces the transfer of Everlasting's in-game guilds to Happy; the fans don't take it well. This doesn't happen in the live-action drama, where there's no mention of him receiving any backlash from this.
- I Did What I Had to Do: Averted. While he cheated in Everlasting's match against Happy in a desperate attempt to keep his team from disbanding, he's not proud of it, and apologizes to Ye Xiu for his actions after Everlasting loses.
- The Team Benefactor: As a parting gift, Everlasting's owner gathers the team's residual assets and guilds worth at least 10 million renmenbi and gives it to Wu Chen, who offers it to Happy.
- Undying Loyalty: After Everlasting's relegation, he chose to fight for the team's promotion and refused offers from other professional groups. Even after Everlasting is liquidated, he still refuses to make a stain on its name.
《Leopold》

A player on Everlasting's roster.
- Wake-Up Call Boss: To Tang Rou; after many easy wins and close losses, she wakes up to the fact that she still needs more practice after getting completely suppressed by Leopold during the Revival Tournament.
- The Worf Effect: He's one of Everlasting's better players manages to show his skills by sequentially beating Tang Rou and Qiao Yifan, but his thorough defeat by Wei Chen shocks Leopold's teammates.
Jade Dynasty | 诛仙
"Jade Dynasty" is the weakest team among the pioneers in the Glory Professional Alliance. After constant relegations and re-promotions, they remain stuck in the Challengers League since their last relegation in Season 6.
As A Team
- Adaptational Badass: In the live-action series, the team gives Happy a run for their money in the Challengers League by beating them in an important game, as the loss results in Happy failing to take the lead in point totals for the Challengers League before the grand finals against Excellent Era, making it more difficult for them to win.
- Executive Meddling: After getting bought by a rich new owner with delusions of grandeur, the players could only silently watch and agree with the owner's decisions even when they know that his meddling would simply hinder their chances at promotion.
- In-Series Nickname: Known as the "King of Revival", due to the team's numerous times entering the Glory Professional Alliance through the Revival Tournament.
- Shout-Out: The team is based on the same-named Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game Jade Dynasty, which is based on a Chinese Internet novel.
Lu Shilin

A player on Jade Dynasty's roster.
- Informed Ability: Although he's described as talented and the owner has built the team full of veterans around him, Lu Shilin is wiped out by Happy immediately without a chance to show what he could do during the Season 9 Revival Tournament.
- Never My Fault: After losing to Happy, he starts blaming everyone and everything, but himself.
- Smug Snake: Shilin is just as arrogant as Jade Dynasty's owner and is generally disliked by the rest of the team.
Xiao Jie
The new owner-chief executive officer of Jade Dynasty.
- Ascended Fanboy: He grew up as a fan of Jade Dynasty, and bought the team after becoming a rich author.
- Never My Fault: His arrogance and meddling with the team contributes to their elimination in Season 9's Revival Tournament. In a fit of rage, he fires the entire team.
- Smug Snake: He assumes Jade Dynasty will waltz into the Glory Professional Alliance under his leadership, and his disdain towards others is plain as day.
Mysterious Fantasy | 玄奇
"Mysterious Fantasy" joined the professional league in Season 7, until their relegation in the eighth season alongside Excellent Era.
Zhang Yiwei (张益玮)

Class: Sharpshooter (former)
The coach of Mysterious Fantasy, Zhang Yiwei was the former operator of Zhou Zekai's "Cloud Piercer" avatar.
- Ascended Extra: Rather than be relegated as a coach, Zhang Yiwei participates in matches during the Challengers League for the live-action.
- Early-Bird Cameo: Yiwei is briefly seen (though unnamed) in the live-action series when Happy goes to sign up for the Challengers League - when a Mysterious Fantasy teammate opens up a soda can, the fizz nearly splashes onto Yiwei, but he blocks the spray by reflex with a sign-up sheet. Luo Ji notes this person was the previous user of Cloud Piercer, thus it's implied it's Zhang Yiwei.
- Overshadowed by Awesome: While the league knows he's Zhou Zekai's predecessor, Yiwei's legacy is forever minimized by the greatest next generation player the league has even seen.
