Leader of the guild in the Heavenly Domain.

  • Adapted Out: Yichun doesn't appear in the live-action series; instead, his position as leader of the entire guild goes to Xu Boyuan.
  • Hypocrite: When Thousand Creations joins Guild Happy, Yichun declares war on the latter under the pretext of harboring Thousand Creations, except other guilds are just as peeved with Thousand Creations when he was previously a part of Blue Brook.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Even though he has a real name, the author exclusively refers to him as Changing Spring.
  • The Quiet One: He hates talking and typing, and has trained Blue Brook's elite squads to understand his commands in as few words as possible.

Player ID: Blue Bridge Spring Snow | 蓝桥春雪 (current), Blue River | 蓝河 (alternate)
Class: Blade Master

Leader of Blue Brook's tenth server branch of the guild, Xu Boyuan is known to be one of the "Five Great Experts" in the entire guild. Due to his reputation, Boyuan dislikes confrontations and prefers to avoid the intricate conspiracies and plots between rival guilds. When the Happy guild begins gaining popularity on the tenth server, Ye Xiu invites him to be its temporary manager, where Boyuan creates a third Blade Master-class character called "Peerless Looks". He returns to Blue Brook a few days later.

  • Adaptational Job Change: Since Liang Yichun is Adapted Out for the live-action, Xu Boyuan becomes guild leader for all of Blue Brook. Additionally, it's implied he secretly remains as Happy's guild manager since Wu Chen is invited to join Happy's professional roster during the Challengers League.
  • Butt-Monkey: Zigzagged - Xu Boyuan has a few moments of bad luck in the web novel and donghua, but he isn't classified as one when he isn't the most gullible and easily manipulated of the guild leaders. The same can't be said of the live-action, where he turns into a punching bag - while Boyuan remains a competent player and guild leader, he tends to get ahead of himself (such as proclaiming Lord Grim has joined Blue Brook, only for him to leave after setting a dungeon record for them) and consequently getting stuck in a lot of sticky situations (like being accused of collaborating with Lord Grim when he's the one who's being set up).
  • The Chains of Commanding: He dislikes being guild leader with its responsibilities, moreso when he's essentially coerced to manage the Happy guild.
  • Defiant to the End: Despite never winning, Boyuan still tries his best against Lord Grim when he meets him in the Heavenly Domain.
  • Heel Realization: The first to realize the top guilds shouldn't be monopolizing bosses and dungeons in the first place.
  • Innocence Lost: Xu Boyuan was simply another player who wanted to enjoy Glory because it was fun, but as he rose up the ranks in Blue Brook, guild politics exposed him to its dark underbelly.
  • Large Ham: Capable of this at times; after his first loss to Lord Grim's team in the Heavenly Domain, the first thing he does is admire himself for his bravery.
  • Mistaken Identity: Played for Laughs in the live-action - Boyuan heads directly to the Happy Internet Cafe to spy on Happy, but is mistaken by Chen Guo for a similar-looking, bald-headed criminal whom she sees on a wanted poster by the police.
  • Mole in Charge: After his cover is blown while infiltrating Happy, Ye Xiu drags him into managing the guild on his behalf.
  • No Hero to His Valet: After managing Happy's guild for Ye Xiu and interacting with him on a regular basis, Boyuan's opinion of Ye Xiu only sinks further.
  • Non-Answer: In the donghua, when he's asked why he's not joining in the other guilds' plan to ambush Lord Grim, Xu Boyuan only answers "Hehe". This is because by then, he already knows who Lord Grim really is and knows better than to try and fight the Battle God himself.
  • Oh, No... Not Again!: Lord Grim is the biggest thorn in Xu Boyuan's side on the tenth server. After resigning as guild leader of Blue Brook and returning to the Heavenly Domain, he still has to meet Lord Grim on the battlefield again.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Despite having an explicit name in Real Life, narrations provided by the author continue to call him Blue River.
  • Overshadowed by Awesome: He's weak in Ye Xiu's eyes, but he's still one of the "Five Great Experts" in Blue Brook and can take on the amateurish Mo Fan with his character "Deception" by himself.
  • Punch-Clock Villain: He'd only fight Lord Grim when he's representing his guild; otherwise, he'd rather leave Lord Grim alone, and would still willingly help him out if the favor is not too much trouble for him or his guild. This is seen when leaders of the other major guilds (Excellent Dynasty, Herb Garden, Tyrannical Ambition) group together to player kill Lord Grim and his allies in the field, but Blue Brook is the only one to stay out of it.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Tries to deliver this to Ye Xiu for bullying a child like Lu Hanwen, but Ye Xiu throws one back by stating that it's Boyuan's poor leadership which left Hanwen open to Ye Xiu's bullying in the first place.
  • There's No Place Like Home: Not only does Boyuan long for the good old days when he was just a player, his guild duties requires that he stay away from the Heavenly Domain, which is where he wants to be.

    《Bound Boat》

Voiced by: Sun Lulu (audio drama)
Played by: Jiang Xueming (live-action)

Character ID: Bound Boat | 系舟
Class: Cleric

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/qzgs_bound_boat_2.png
Click here  to see Bound Boat in the live-action

A friend and adviser for Xu Boyuan in Blue Brook.

  • No Name Given: He's Only Known by Their Nickname, as the animation, live-action and web novel does not reveal his true name.
  • Only Sane Man: Played up to eleven in the live-action - compared to the donghua, Bound Boat is still one of the more level-headed members of the guild, but the drama turns him into a hard-pressed realist, unlike Xu Boyuan, when Lord Grim is involved. Whenever Boyuan gets too carried away by Lord Grim's antics in the live-action, Bound Boat will often bring him back to face reality, such as warning Boyuan that Lord Grim plays with a mercenary mindsetnote  and won't join Blue Brook, nor should the guild rely too heavily on his ability to clear dungeon records and first boss kills on the tenth server.

Excellent Dynasty

    Chen Yehui (陈夜辉)

Voiced by: Liang Xiaoqiang (animation, audio drama), Peng Yao (live-action)
Played by: Hao Shuai (live-action)

Player ID: Zero Breakthrough (current)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tkachenyehui.jpg

Leader of the Excellent Dynasty guild.

  • Adaptational Job Change: Played with - whereas Yehui in the web novel and animation never went pro, he's already a full-time player on Excellent Era's roster when the live-action drama begins. However, Ye Xiu boots him to Excellent Dynasty before he retires.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Since Liu Hao is Adapted Out in the live-action series, a few of his traits are folded onto Yehui, including how he keeps antagonizing Ye Xiu after his enforced retirement by Excellent Era's management.
  • Cheaters Never Prosper: Averted in the live-action when Qiu Fei accuses him of pulling this in the tryouts for Excellent Era's roster in Flashbacks, but Yehui is selected regardless because of Fei's less-than-stellar attitude and reputation upon joining the organization's training camp.
  • Deceased Fall-Guy Gambit: In Season 9, when Excellent Era's management discovers his shenanigans and summons him for an inquiry, he immediately shoves the blame onto Liu Hao, who has already left the team due to his transfer to Thunderclap. Subverted in the live-action, when Tao Xuan accuses him of recruiting the team's players for guild business, when it should be left to guild members, after Excellent Era begins slipping in the league rankings.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: He dislikes Qiu Fei for having everything he covets - youth, Ye Xiu's favor and the skill to go professional.
  • It's Personal: He blames Ye Xiu for wrecking his dream of becoming a professional player.
  • RevengeSVP: He originally wanted to join Excellent Era's team, but his application was rejected when Ye Xiu suggested to management that Yehui had neither the talent nor work ethic to turn professional. To this day, Chen Yehui still holds a grudge against Ye Xiu, such that he sends Excellent Dynasty and other guilds who are peeved at Ye Xiu for accumulating records on the tenth server to player kill Lord Grim and his allies.
  • Shut Up, Hannibal!: Chen Yehui is on the receiving end of this in the live-action when the major guild leaders like Plantago Seed and Cold Night accuse him of a False Flag Operation against Lord Grim's party, when their collective losses pale in comparison to Excellent Dynasty's, thus implying Yehui had set the other guilds up to fail from the start when he suggested they group together to punish Lord Grim.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: He persuaded Excellent Era's pro players to help him with his vendetta against Ye Xiu. After the team loses to Ye Xiu one too many times, their morale sinks so much, it results in a losing streak. Excellent Era is relegated at the end of Season 8 by a mere five points.

Four Guild Alliance

Not a specific guild, but rather a collection of four, smaller guilds from mid-card professional teams consisting of "Heavenly Justice", "Conquering Clouds", "Radiant" and "Parade" - all are brought together under one banner and led by Ye Xiu.

    As A Whole
  • Divided We Fall: They're completely aware their unity is a force to be reckoned with, but each guild will individually collapse if they dissolve the Alliance.
  • Gunboat Diplomacy: Ye Xiu scares the leaders of the four guilds into joining - two have already experienced his ferocity first-hand and know that opposing him is tantamount to suicide; Ye Xiu persuades the other two while surrounding them on all sides.
  • Misfit Mobilization Moment: The four guilds became tired of losing Wild Bosses to larger guilds; once Ye Xiu offers the opportunity for an alliance, they immediately Jumped at the Call.
  • Rising Empire: On an average week, the Four Guild Alliance earns more loot from Wild Bosses than some of the larger guilds put together. Prior to this, the latter monopolized Wild Bosses, with smaller guilds each fighting one another for scraps.

Full Moon

    《Sleeping Moon》

Voiced by: Wang Chenguang (animation, audio drama)

Character ID: Sleeping Moon | 月中眠
Class: Blade Master

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tkasleepingmoon.jpg
Click here  to see Sleeping Moon in the live-action

An above-average, but overconfident Glory player and leader of the "Full Moon" guild. He eventually joins the Happy guild after its formation on the tenth server.

  • Break the Haughty: After the tenth server is opened and Ye Xiu joins Sleeping Moon's party for fighting the "Midnight Phantom Cat" hidden boss in the "Green Forest" dungeon, Ye Xiu deduces Moon intends to have the party die against the boss to reap the rewards for himself. Ye Xiu makes him pay for being too greedy by not helping him at all when the two of them are the last survivors of their party; Xiu proceeds to solo the Phantom Cat single-handedly after Moon is eliminated.
  • Composite Character: In the live-action drama, Sleeping Moon's role as a Glory player is reduced as the narrative combines him with a nameless reporter in the web novel, who works with a publication on Glory's eSports on-goings. In particular, he covers Ye Qiu's retirement from the professional scene, which he suspects was done for reasons of Greed by Excellent Era.
  • Humble Pie: In the live-action, when the Full Moon guild is at risk of being dissolved due to low membership, Sleeping Moon seeks Lord Grim's help while apologizing for his prior antics (see Break the Haughty) and slander against him after the tenth server opened. In return, Ye Xiu and his allies help Sleeping Moon and his guild gain notoriety by break a new dungeon record; membership increases for the guild again.
  • In-Series Nickname: "Little Moon Moon", as a Take That! to his overinflated ego by Ye Xiu, much to Sleeping Moon's chagrin.
  • The Mole: Subverted - during an after-party celebration with Happy, Sleeping Moon toasts the team with alcohol, but Ye Xiu drinks too much of it and passes out. Happy members start accusing Sleeping Moon for being a spy from Excellent Era trying to poison Ye Xiu; Hilarity Ensues when they realize Ye Xiu Can't Hold His Liquor.
  • Named by the Adaptation: The live-action series gives him the name "Chang Xian".

Herb Garden | 中草堂

    《Plantago Seed》

Voiced by: Ling Zhenhe (animation, audio drama), Jin Xian (live-action)
Played by: Quan Peilun (live-action)

Player ID: Plantago Seed | 车前子
Class: Witch

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tkaplantagoseed.jpg
Click here  to see Plantago Seed in the live-action

Leader of the "Herb Garden" guild branch on Glory's tenth server.

  • Adaptational Wimp: Averted, but without being an Adaptational Badass - Plantago Seed's Butt-Monkey traits are Downplayed in the live-action series as he and the other guild leaders are equally manipulated by Lord Grim, thus he's not touted as the flat-out weakest.
  • Butt-Monkey: The web novel and Manhua portray him as one of the weakest of the tenth server guild leaders. The first "in-person" confrontation Ye Xiu has with him and the other guilds show him as dead before they can even get serious with the boss. The animation doesn't do him much justice either, showing him as easily moved to tears and shoved off his account so Wang Jiexi can take over as incognito. He also becomes a common target of Ye Xiu's bullying.
  • Fanboy: Of Wang Jiexi; he's even mapped his keyboard in the same configuration as his.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Like Thousand Creations, his actual name isn't stated in the animation, live-action, Manhua and web novel.

Howling Heights

    《West Riding Wind》

The guild leader for Howling Heights, the club guild for Team Wind Howl.

  • Only Sane Man: As a guild leader, he's level-headed and knows how to pick his battles. He's not particularly amused when Wind Howl member Zhao Yuzhe, who's on a personal vendetta, drags the rest of Howling Heights into an Unwinnable fight against the Four Guild Alliance.

Tyrannical Ambition | 霸气雄图

    《Cold Night》

Voiced by: Guo Haoran (animation, audio drama, live-action)
Played by: Kuang Muye (live-action)

Player ID: Cold Night | 夜度寒潭
Class: Knight

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tkacoldnight.jpg
Click here  to see Cold Night in the live-action

The leader of Tyrannical Ambition on the tenth server.

  • Adaptational Job Change: Similar to Xu Boyuan, Cold Night is the leader of the entire Tyrannical Ambition guild in the live-action due to Jiang You being Adapted Out.
  • If I Do Not Return: Played for Laughs in the live-action - when he decides to seek help from Tyranny Captain Han Wenqing of the guild's problems regarding Lord Grim, Cold Night tells a fellow guild member that if he doesn't come back, he's the next person in charge of Tyrannical Ambition, given Wenqing's Drill Sergeant Nasty personality.
  • No Name Given: Similar to Plantago Seed, Cold Night isn't given a name either in the web novel or any of its adaptations.

    Jiang You (蒋游)

Voiced by: Xiao Tan (animation), Sen Zhongren (audio drama)

Character ID: Wandering Peak | 游峰电 (current), Crowd Lover | 爱凑热闹 (alternate)
Class: Elementalist

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jiangyou.jpg
Click here  to see Wandering Peak
Click here  to see Crowd Lover

The guild leader of Tyrannical Ambition, the club guild for Team Tyranny.

  • Adapted Out: He doesn't appear in the live-action drama, and his position is given to Cold Night.
  • Hypocrite: He complains the tenth server guilds are cheating in the dungeon record race by giving their Heavenly Domain experts alternate tenth server accounts, except Jiang You is operating a tenth server alternate account himself.
