Hosts

    Dancing Banana

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/the_dancing_banana.png

The CEO of Shovelware Studios and the host of Shovelware's Brain Game.

  • Depraved Kids' Show Host: Implied. While Dancing Banana is definitely the opposite of this, sometimes the Broccoli might ask him about some allegations. The security Donut also might occasionally chime in to pull out a wanted poster of Dancing Banana and ask if anyone has seen him.
  • Mean Boss: The Dancing Banana's treatment of his employees is suspicious, to say the least. The Announcer is trapped in the studio while on the job and isn't paid a livable wage, Boardy claims his contract doesn't cover more than one appearance in the same round, and the production crew consists of his nephews.

    Announcer

Voiced by: Douglas Thorton
A disembodied voice who tells the questions and brings out the prizes. Later revealed to be a microphone with limbs and a face.
  • Butt-Monkey: To the Cherries' jabs at the show to the point where he literally started crying. The Dancing Banana will also take jabs at the Announcer on top of not paying him well.
  • Big Eater: In numerous of questions and prizes, it notes that the Announcer is very fond of food. Espacially Pizza in one of the questions.
  • Everyone Has Standards: The Announcer immediately drops his act when the dancing hotdog prize is revealed; mostly because that's a real person, other than an object like the other prizes. He doesn't mind Carl being one however.
  • Misery Trigger: Not liking the Announcer's obby will cause him to be bummed out. And as demonstrated by the Cherries, insulting Announcer will cause him to cry.
Cherry 1: Hey Banana, you should hire a new announcer. This guy STINKS!
Announcer: You can't tell that from down here! I'm up in an enclosed recording booth!
Cherry 2: So he admits it! He does stink!
Announcer: No, I-...Well...One thing I should....uh....Excuse me for one second. *Door closing* *muffled sobbing*

    Boardy the SMART Board

Voiced by: Brandon P. Jenkins
A special guest who helps out with visual questions.
  • Special Guest: Boardy is one In-Universe, as an explanation for questions that require imagery (and a sponsor, according to the announcer).
  • Theme Song: Every time Boardy is brought on stage. "Can't Stop The Rock" by Bob Kulick plays in the background.
  • Unknown Rival: Slightly averted as Boardy is half aware that the Announcer hates his guts for butting in to his question about Italy.
Announcer: Uhhh actually, I was thinking I could answer this question
Boardy: uh no, no....come look at this Italy photo!

Studio workers

    Oldest Nephew
The oldest of Dancing Banana's Nephews and is the cameraman for the show.

    Middle Nephew
The middle child of Dancing Banana's Nephews and pulls the prize curtain.
  • Nepotism: Works for his uncle as the one who pulls the prize curtain.
  • No Name Given: Simply called "Middle Nephew".

    Peel
The youngest of Dancing Banana's Nephews and makes sure the show runs as intended. He will also escort the audience out of the stage and brings a new audience at the end of each round.
  • Mature Younger Sibling: Peel attitude towards Oldest Nephew when he sees him getting distracted has you question if Peel is actually the youngest.
Peel: get back to the show!
  • Nepotism: Works for his uncle as the one running the show behind the scenes.

    Studio Security
A donut who will sometimes ask for a criminal in between rounds.

Audience members

    Pear
An audience member who isn't very fond of the show.

    Cantaloupe
An audience member who will sometimes kidnap the Dancing Banana in between rounds.

    Cherries
A pair of Cherries who will sometimes comment on the show in between rounds.
  • Expy: Seemingly Statler and Waldorf. They even laugh just like them.
Cherry 1: Why do we come back to this show? just to suffer?
Cherry 2: Yeah, that's probably it
    Cherries: oh hohohohoho!.
  • Hate Sink: They have basically no redeeming qualities aside from being funny.

    Lemon
A Lemon in the audience who is very paranoid and will interrupt the show to ask about juicers.
  • Anything but That!: Lemon is not happy about squeezers. In fact, when Peel's name is mentioned, he freaks out and jumps through the wall. The hole he leaves behind stays for the rest of the round.
  • Expy: Seemingly to Lemongrab from Adventure Time.

    Orange
An orange that may interrupt the game in between rounds.
