- Accidental Pervert: He gropes Ashley's breast by mistake the first time they meet each other, and when he's in the infirmary after Ashley hit him for that he's caught by Ashley's followers by mistake in a compromising position. Let's not forget that a lot of his bath events with the female casts are this in nature. He really can't catch a break.
- An Ice Person: His only magic attack, but it belongs to neutral/void element with ice-like animation...
- BFS: As Berserker, at leat it looks big enough. Later as Ragnarok, his Flash Drive enables him to momentarily increase his sword's size, fulfilling this trope
- The Berserker: His class initially.
- Big Eater: He gets hungry a lot especially when Eruru's around.
- Childhood Friend: With Lily and Glen.
- Glass Cannon: His Unique level build focus on very high physical damage while lessens his defense growth. Made more pronounced with his skill Arm Shift as Ragnarok.
- Heroes Prefer Swords: Continuing Luminous Arc Protagonist's tradition with weapon of choice.
- It's Personal: He despises Rienhart for raiding the orphanage and subsequently killing Lily in his Eye Hunt.
- Mystical White Hair: His hair turns white when he transforms into Ragnarok.
- Non-Elemental: He's the only playable character who has "Void" element, an equivalent of non-elemental intially. When he hass Access to his true class Ragnarok, his element becomes Silver.
- Official Couple: Eruru, but can be averted for "all" other females and some of the males.
- Power at a Price: He chooses to accept the blessing of Aura Lux so that he can heal Magus from Tennes Lux's corruption and purify Eruru's soul so that she can be revived, but every time he uses this power he will gradually lose his senses.
- Shock and Awe: His magic attack as Ragnarok. Interestingly, there's no thunder element in this game and this belong to silver element.
Elle/Elulu
- Magi Awakening: SirenElement: WaterVoiced by: Eriko Nakamura (JP)
- Feminine Women Can Cook: She helps in student cafetaria, and her cookings are generally great if she's not mistaking sugar for salt...
- Heroic Sacrifice: She protected Levi from a fatal attack brainwashed Glen aimed at him. She gets better though.
- Impossibly Cool Clothes: Her robe somehow looks like it's made of water.
- Leitmotif: "So that your wounds heal"
- Making a Splash: Her element is water.
- Meaningful Name: Elle comes from Erelah which is a hebrew word means "angel".
- The Medic: Her primary role she learns both single and group-target healing and basic revive spell. She still can use some offensive spells and her RES is one of the highest to tank magic damages effectively, but you'll deploy her primarily for healing.
- Musical Assassin: Uses a flute as her weapon of choice, and plays the flute in her FD to command waters.
- Water Is Womanly: A Siren Magi with the element of water, and a feminine priestess who best serves as a healer.
Glen
- Magi Awakening: CerberusElement: FireVoiced by: Tomokazu Sugita (JP)
- Brainwashed and Crazy: As a result of Valerie corrupting his lapistier.
- Dash Attack: One of his Flash Drive moves involves him dashing through his enemies, leaving a trail of fire behind him.
- Helmets Are Hardly Heroic: Despite his battle sprite wearing helmets, he doesn't wear one in conversation to show his emotion. Later when he's Brainwashed and Crazy, his status image depicts him wearing helmet he uses in battle to show he is on evil side.
- Killed Off for Real: If you don't choose the correct decision prior to battle with him and Valerie and not killing him last during the fight with both of them.
- Leitmotif: "Crimson Sovereign"
- Meaningful Name: If you spell his name in kanji (紅蓮,ぐれん) it means "Crimson".
- Scarf of Asskicking: He has a very long red scarf in his Cerberus form, one that seemingly always catches on fire at its end.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Cranberry Pancakes
Ashley
- Magi Awakening: ValkyrieElement: DarkVoiced by: Nana Mizuki (JP)
- Action Girl: One of the two physically-oriented female Magi, and since the other one comes quite late she fills this role much longer.
- Casting a Shadow: She can cast a second-tier dark elemental attack spell.
- Dual Wielding: She uses dual swords in battle.
- Healing Hands: She has a skill to restore status effect to her and units surrounding her.
- Leitmotif: "Knight of Black Rose"
- Lightning Bruiser: Swift, high HP and high physical defense, suitable for combat.
- Magically Inept Fighter: Let's say her magic stats are a bit lacking.
- Something about a Rose: Her outfit "Valkyrie", her theme song "Lady of Black Rose" and her brother's planted rose in front of Urguard.
Heine
- Magi Awakening: AegisElement: EarthVoiced by: Hiroyuki Yoshino (JP)
- Chivalrous Pervert: Most of the pervert jokes in the story can be traced back to Heine.
- Cuteness Proximity: His nose can uniquely detects something cute.
- Green Thumb: He channels nature element.
- Interspecies Friendship: He quickly becomes friends with Bonaparte
- Iron Butt Monkey: He's the most frequently punched by Ashley, but he's very tough.
- Leitmotif: "Mood Maker?"
- Mighty Glacier: The strongest damage taker, but has lowest AO and SPD, making his turns come last and less likely to evade damage.
- Official Couple: With Inaluna somewhat. Unless you played Inaluna's Ending.
- Shield Bash: With shield being his weapon of choice, this trope naturally comes into play. He also has a move that pushes three units in front of him.
- Taking the Bullet: Played with. He took an attack from Valerie aimed at Inaluna, but he didn't die. Of course, Inaluna who cried thinking that he died whipped him instead.
Inaluna(dia)

- Barrier Warrior: The only one who has spell to reflect magic attack.
- Cleavage Window: Her princess outfit has a gap that shows off her cleavage.
- Expy: Of Lucia, appearance only though.
- Light Is Good: The only mandatory playable character with Light element. Anogia is optional.
- Meaningful Name: Inalunadia -> Inanna(Goddess of Love) + Luna(Moon) + Dia(Day). Alternatively: Inaradia -> Illuminating/Shining day.
- Navel-Deep Neckline: Her Ishitar outfit has a neckline that plunges to her navel.
- Royals Who Actually Do Something: Evident by her enrollment to Ulgard and her active participation in battles.
- Whip of Dominance: She is a spoiled and bossy princess who enjoys ordering people around and demeaning them. Fittingly, she has a whip for a weapon. Heine in particular is often bossed around by her, and is often whipped when he displeases her.

Sara

- Child Prodigy: Naturally, since she awakened her magi at the age of 6.
- Cute Witch: And idolized the previous one too.
- Deadpan Snarker: one of the most probable thing she says when she opens her mouth other than being a troll.Sara: If he's (Yuu) a prodigy, what am I? a God?
- Expy: Her character and mannerism seems to take quite a bit after another certain little sister...
- Green Thumb: Her element is nature.
- Healing Hands: She has Curer spell and Regen Mass spell. She fills this role whenever Eruru is not available to use her healing power.
- The Smart Girl: She's able to memorize the entire Urgard library catalogue.
- Squishy Wizard: her defensive stats are one of the lowest, combined with her abysmall HP should you choose Unique stat growth.
- Tag Along Kid: She is group source information.
- Throw Down the Bomblet: She uses bombs as her weapon of choice.
- Troll: She has an amusing timing whether to listen to her classmates or not.
Sion
- Magi Awakening: VenusElement: WindVoiced by: Aki Toyosaki (JP)
- Always Accurate Attack: She has higher accuracy than most (if not all other) units, enabling her to hit anything without fail. However, since she's built to be a mage and her attack power is one of the lowest, this becomes mundane.
- Arcane Archer: She's a mage who happens to use bow in combat.
- Big Sister Instinct: Has a minor shade of this. Protecting Sara is the catalyst in awakening her dormant Magi.
- Blow You Away: Her element is wind.
- Death from Above: Her Second Flash Drive involves Rain of Arrows.
- Dump Stat: While accuracy is an important stat for attack power, Sion is a magic-oriented character so her weapon attack is considered useless especially in hard mode, making her higher-than-average accuracy wasteful. This is made more ironic and odd in her unique build where her accuracy gain goes through the roof while her attack gain lessens.
- Healing Hands: She has 2 healing spells: One to restore debuffs and one to restore HP as well as status effect.
- Leitmotif: "Roadside Flower"
- Power Gives You Wings: Transforming into Venus magi gives her wings.
- The Power of Love: Amor Storm, her third Flash Drive, literally mean storm of love.
- Sibling Yin-Yang: A lot of her traits both in and outside of battle are opposites of her sister Sara; She is gentle and more approachable to Sara's blunt, dismissive, and manipulative nature, her hair is long and bright compared to Sara's short and dark one, she is much taller and bustier than Sara, her magi awakens late while Sara's awaken at a very young age, she has wind to Sara's Earth element in battle, and her turn speed is very high compared to Sara's.
Yu
- Magi Awakening: GrimoireElement: DarkVoiced by: Eri Kitamura (JP)
- Black Magic: In contrary to other playable mages who can perform at least one party utility or healing spell, he learns none barring a spell that can drain his opponents' life and a debuff spell. It doesn't really matter though since his MAG stat is high enough to kill a lot of enemies if they have no dark element themselves or high enough magical resistance.
- Child Mage: He's a 12-year-old Magi.
- Child Prodigy: He awakened his Magi at twelve. A little later than Sara, but is still considered one.
- Dark Is Not Evil: He uses dark element, but he's definitely on the good guy's side.
- Improbable Weapon User: He uses stone tablet as a weapon which surprisingly has the same weapon range as Shion's bow.
- The Smart Guy: He specializes in analyzing and collecting information. Also, he loves to write memos.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Chocolate Cookies
Dino
- Magi Awakening: FenrirElement: WindVoiced by: Yūichi Nakamura (JP)
- Always Accurate Attack: His Mind Projection skill will hit anything regardless of targets' SPD.
- Ambiguously Brown: He has the darkest skin color of everyone in the party, and that's it.
- Artificial Human: Due to losing his lapis as the result of Felicia's Eye Hunt, he receives a synthetic lapistier implant on his body.
- Doppelgänger Attack: His first Flash Drive involves splitting himself into 3 while throwing his knife.
- Fragile Speedster: His AO enables him to be one of first attackers among the party accompanied with the highest SPD of all, but his defense and magic defense is a bit of lackluster.
- Revenge: When it's revealed that Nefiria lapistier was created from his dead lover's.

Lyla

- Creepy Child: Her child-like appearence combined with a ghost motif...
- Glass Cannon: She has one of the highest attack power, but her defense is one of the lowest.
- Healing Hands: Her final spell is Resurrection.
- Improbable Weapon User: Uses scroll as her weapon which has the same attack area as Gaston.
- Making a Splash: She can cast second-tier water magic.
- Really 700 Years Old: Its implied that she's lived more than 1000 years.
Principal Kirika

- Older Than She Looks: She is at least 100 years old since she used to be Sara's classmate, who came from 100 years prior.

- Alas, Poor Villain: Her death is kinda sad (both times), especially since Anogia does a Heel–Face Turn.
- Back from the Dead: She appears in "Hell" after she was killed by Anogia as the last obstacle before reaching Queen of Nefiria.
- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: She's on Nefiria's side all along.
- Glass Cannon: She hits very, very hard and moves fast but can't take physical damage too much coupled with her lack of HP. She's still lucky she has high enough magic resistance.
- Walking Spoiler: The amount of spoilered trope in her entry should tell you that she's more than she seems.
Gil
- Information Broker: Sort of. If Levi's relationship with other party member is high enough, he can sell "Private information" regarding them. The higher the relationship, the more you can unlock. They're not that important to the storyline.

- Ultimate Blacksmith: They're the one forging all of your best weapons.
The Felician
Reinhart
- Voiced by: Takayuki Kondō
- An Ice Person: Uses a scythe made out of nothing but ice.
- Fingersnap Badass: His Flash Drive. He snaps his finger and voila! Instast scythe return!
- Healing Factor: He quickly recovered after receiving hit from battle to withhold his army's raid at Ulgard Gate, prompting the party to draw back.
- Healing Hands: He can cast basic Cure Magic.
- Killed Off for Real: Died in the last standoff between Felicia and Urgard.
- Precision-Guided Boomerang: His Flash Drive involves him throwing his scythe which comes back to him.
Bonaparte
"I'm not a bunny! Myou, Myou!!"- Expy: Arguably March Hare.
- Improbable Weapon User: His long ears acts the same as lance or spears.
- Master of Disguise: Has the ability to change his shape, as seen from when he disguised himself as Inaluna. His theme song is "Uncommon Imposter", even!

Fran/Aulmorde

- Breath Weapon: One of her skills include breathing fire at her opponents.
