Kazuma's Party

    Kazuma Satou/Spider-Ham 

Kazuma Satou/Spider-Ham

A teenager that died and reincarnated to another world where he began his life as an Adventurer. Although, he experienced many, MANY strange encounters, his battle with the Demon General, Verdia and his cat-minion topped them all.

After being bitten by both the cat's radioactive spiders and radioactive pigs, Kazuma gained the ability to transform into a hybrid of a man, spider and pig. While Kazuma tried to handle these new powers, he also has to contend with this world's shenanigans, mostly from his party.


  • Adaptational Badass: Being given the powers of Spider-Ham, Kazuma can actually put up a far more decent fight than he did in the Light Novel/Anime, even surviving some of his canon deaths.
  • Butt-Monkey: He's surrounded by idiot party members, gets dogpiled by radioactive spiders and pigs, turns into a pig humanoid, being hunted by crazy supervillains, under threat of being eaten and then, placed with a major debt by a crime boss.
  • Foil: To Morris Miyamora. They are both chosen and sent to another world by Aqua. However, while Kazuma has a good heart deep beneath his jerkish exterior, Morris act pleasant and altruistic to hide his selfish nature.
  • Henshin Hero: Kazuma can transforms from his weak human form to the super-powered Spider-Ham.
  • Imagination-Based Superpower: Spider-Ham's ultimate power is the Power of the Toon or Toon Force, which allows him to bend reality to his whims. Although, this takes a lot of his magical energy.
  • Inflating Body Gag: Using the Toon Force and Aqua's power, Kazuma bites into his thumb and enlarges his hand to punch Hydro-Man. It's something he learnt from watching countless anime.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Kazuma can be an asshole, a cynic and a pervert but on several occasions, he does displays a noble side on multiple occasions and he genuinely cares for his teammates. Scorpion and Hydro Man learn that the hard way after they mess with them.
  • Mutants: Kazuma turned into Spider-Ham after being bitten, both by radioactive spiders and radioactive pigs.
  • Pig Man: Kazuma's Spider-Ham form is described by people to bear heavy resemblance to a member of the pig folk.

    Aqua 

Aqua

A lazy goddess that got dragged to the other world thanks to Kazuma. Aqua's goal is to return to Heaven but in order to do that, she had to help Kazuma in his adventures.
  • Break the Haughty: Her ego has been knocked a peg after Morris betrayed her and stole her powers.
  • It's All About Me: Whatever Aqua does is mainly for her own self-gain. The only reason she follows Kazuma around is out of the desire to return back to Heaven.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Her choice to send Morris to the other world lead him to join the Devil King and threatened her followers.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: After the incident with Morris, Aqua treats Kazuma a lot better, not only fixing his jacket but also praising him as a true hero.

    Megumin 

Megumin

A young mage with a love for explosion magic and Kazuma had to carry her whenever she's out of mana.
  • Damsel in Distress: She gets taken captive by the Scorpion who intends to use her as a bargaining chip to steal her party's treasure.

    Darkness 

Darkness

A young Crusader that's a serious masochist.
  • Bestiality Is Depraved: Darkness develops a liking towards Kazuma's Spider-Ham form as pigs are the ultimate representations of Sloth.

Supporting Characters

    Wiz 
A friendly lich shop-keeper.
  • Marshmallow Hell: She constantly gives this to Doctorpuss much to the cat doctor's dismay.
  • No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: Wiz was truly the one that treated Otto Doctorpuss with kindness but instead, he made it his mission to have her killed.

    Howard the Duck 

Howard the Duck

A duck-like humanoid Kazuma met when he was thrown into prison.
  • Adaptational Species Change: Howard was once human but encountered a cursed duck that transformed him into his current state.
  • Feather Flechettes: Any feathers Howard plucked from himself will turn to as hard as steel which he used as arrows.
  • I Owe You My Life: After being freed from prison, Howards helps Kazuma in getting out of his debt with Kingpig.
  • Private Detective: Howards tries to find any dirt he can use to help Kazuma with his debt problem. He succeeds.

Devil King and his forces

    Otto Doctorpuss 

Otto Doctorpuss

A small cat-like being with four mechanical arms. He served as Verdia's assistant and helped his master in trying AND failing in creating ways to defeat his enemies.
  • Does Not Like Magic: He prefers working with science and technology over magic. Him being turned into a cat thanks to a magic-related accident causes him to double down on his habits.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: Nobody in the Devil King's army, except Wiz, treats Otto with a shred of respect.
  • Mad Scientist: In the most cartoonish way possible.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Otto intended for his irradiated animals to devour Kazuma but instead, it resulted in Kazuma becoming Spider-Ham.
  • Revenge: He has an unhealthy desire to get even with everybody that crosses him, even carrying around a list.
  • Small Name, Big Ego: Otto thinks of himself as superior but he's no different than a small-rank lackey of the demon army.
    Otto: I am a doctor. I was a respected general....
    Kazuma: You were the general's assistant.
    Otto: I COULD HAVE BEEN A GENERAL, DAMNIT!
  • Ungrateful Bastard: Otto targets Wiz all because she treated him with love and compassion. Although, this dies down when Kazuma calls him out, reminding the cat that Wiz took Otto in when he got abandoned by Verdia.

    Verdia(UNMARKED SPOILERS

Verdia

One of the Devil King's generals. When his castle got destroyed by Megumin, Verdia marched his army to Axel to get his revenge only to receive a humiliating defeat.
  • Bad Boss: He leaves Otto to die when the Mobile Destroyer is going to explode.
  • Sanity Slippage: His defeat following his fight against Kazuma and the people of Axel has done a lot to his mental state. When he returns as Jack O' Lantern, he's basically turned into a deranged lunatic.

    Hydro-Man(UNMARKED SPOILERS

Morris Miyamora/Hydro-Man

Morris Miyamora is one of Aqua's reincarnators, sent to the other world to defeat the defeat the Devil King. However, he instead joined the Devil King and became one of his generals, the Hydro Man.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: When he reunites with Aqua, Morris treated Aqua with reverence, acting like the perfect hero to her and her followers. In truth however, he became one of the Devil King's generals and only butters Aqua up to steal her powers.
  • Evil Counterpart: He's what Kazuma could have become if he had no heart of gold and embraced his more darker impulses.
  • Kick the Dog: Sure, Aqua is sometimes a jerk but what Morris did to her went too far, not only stealing her powers and giving "The Reason You Suck" Speech to her but also intends to keep her around as a Sex Slave before killing her when he gets bored with her.
  • No Body Left Behind: Kazuma's Goddess Requiem destroys Morris at a molecular level, ensuring that he's Killed Off for Real.
  • One-Winged Angel: After absorbing much of Aqua's Goddess power, he transforms into a water monsters that's as big as a tsunami.
  • Smug Super: He clearly doesn't see Spider-Ham and his friends as much of a threat as he thrashes them around with his water powers.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: Morris is the beloved mayor of Arcanletia and he uses his influence to turn the people of Arcanletia against Kazuma and his company. This stops when his crimes are exposed.

Independent Villains

    Kingpig 

Kingpig

A powerful and shady businessman that has massive influence over the city of Axel.
  • Affably Evil: He's mostly reasonable and interacts with others quite cordially. Kingpig, who despite bearing a grudge against Kazuma and his party, allows them to attend the wedding.
  • Bad Guy Bar: The Salty Spitoon, with a Succubus Lounge no less.
  • The Dreaded: There isn't a soul alive in Axel, except Kazuma, that doesn't know Kingpig and how he deals with those that crosses him.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: Kingpig is born to a human and the pigfolk.
  • If You Ever Do Anything to Hurt Her...: Kingpig only tolerates his son-in-law, Paul for his daughter, MJ's sake but makes it clear that if Paul ever does anything to hurt her, Kingpig will do something to him, mainly killing him.
  • Like a Son to Me: Kingpig takes a liking towards Kazuma, seeing much of himself in the boy. He sees Kazuma as the son he never had, even more so than his son-in-law.
    Paul: But I thought I was the son you never had.
    Kingpig: Shut up, Paulie.
  • Oh, Crap!: Kingpig has this, after Howard the Duck showed him a piece of paper that revealed about his past. Whatever it was, it scared him enough for Kingpig to forgive Kazuma's debt.

    Toad Man 

Toad Man

The supposed King of the Toads and has a massive beef against Spider-Ham.
  • Monster Lord: According to Toad Man, he leads the giant toads.
  • Moral Myopia: He is angered that Kazuma and his party had been killing his toads but Kazuma and the rest of Axel point out all the harm his toads had done, including nearly devouring a child. Toad Man just passes that as being the child's fault much to everyone's disgust.
  • Super Spit: Toad Man can spew out a variety of slimes including acidic slime and sticky slime.

    Scorpion 

Scorpion

A insectoid bandit that had the (dis)pleasure in encountering Kazuma Satou, the Spider-Ham.
