Kikainoids

    General Tropes
  • Bizarre Alien Biology:
    • Being Mechanical Lifeforms, it's highly implied that they're able to perform Electronic Telepathy, as shown in multiple occasions where Secchan communicates from Home Base with the Kikainoid Zenkaigers without the need for cellphones or for them to be in their transformed state. How this works is inconsistent, as it's later shown that Vroon still uses a smartphone to receive calls from Kaito and Secchan.
    • If Magine's Ocular Gushers are anything to go by, they apparently leak normal mechanical gears with their tears.
  • Contrasting Sequel Protagonist:
    • The Crystalians were a race of extraterrestrial genies inclined towards magic, with a society modeled after a typical fantasy kingdom and ruled by a benevolent monarch, and whose planet was conquered by the antagonists at the beginning of the series. The Kikainoids are a race of robots from a technologically-advanced parallel world, with a society not unlike modern Earth's (albeit with some sci-fi elements thrown in) and ruled by a tyrannical despot, the latter of which is implied to have been so for a very long time prior to the series' beginning.
    • Unlike the Zyumans, who were of flesh and blood and originated from Earth before emigrating to another world, the Kikanoids are mechanical beings who originated from a parallel world. While the Zyumans were initially prejudiced towards humans, the Kikainoids have no problems getting along with humans from the get-go.
  • Ditto Aliens: All unimportant civilian-type Kikainoids share the same base head, and are only differenciated by their eyes, hairstyles, and the clothes they wear.
  • Interspecies Romance: Some Kikainoids have developed these with humans and other beings, Barashitara having a number of humans amongst his hundreds of wives being a prime example. Other Played for Comedy examples include a human in episode 8 who is stuck in a Love Triangle between his human and Kikainoid girlfriends.
  • Mechanical Lifeform: All of them are this.
  • Ridiculously Human Robots:
    • Despite hailing from a largely mechanical world, they are able to consume human food and drink with no ill effects. Likewise, certain foods from their homeworld are also somehow biological in nature and safe for human consumption as well, one of them being Kikai Takoyaki.
    • They're somehow able to breed with humans, Stacy being the result of one such union. Best not to think too hard about the mechanics involved in that.
    • They're also weak to tickles just like any other human is, despite their hard mechanical bodies.

    Ta

Portrayed by: Unknown (voice)

A civilian Kikainoid who runs a roadside stall selling the Kikaitopia delicacy Kikai Takoyaki.

    Sanjo

Portrayed by: Shintarō Asanuma (voice), Naoko Kamio (suit)

Juran's great-grandfather.

Humans/Human Aliens

    Su

Portrayed by: Tsutomu Kitagawa

An elderly man who frequents the Goshikidas' café.
  • Alternate Self: Episode 27 reveals he's a recurring constant in the other parallel worlds, with different versions of himself existing in each of them.
  • Butt-Monkey: He often ends up falling victim to a Wald's influence, sometimes making him Take a Level in Badass.
    • Episode 4 sees him - under the influence of Boxing Wald's gloves - take down people like a hot knife through butter, despite the fact that he's an elderly man who often needs assistance.
    • Episode 19 has him under Kabutomushi Wald's illusions, charging into Colorful under the impression that Kaito is a beetle to hunt. He expertly wields his bug-catching net as if it were a polearm.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Everyone calls him Su-san ("Mr. Su"); what "Su" is short for is still unknown.
  • Recurring Extra: Being a frequent customer of Colorful, he shows up from time to time.

    Lise

Portrayed by: Miho Isozaki

The 893rd wife of Tozitend general Barashitara, and mother of Stacy.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: A flashback in Episode 29 shows that Stacy modelled his wardrobe on hers.
  • No Name Given: She was simply known as "Stacy's Mother" until scans for episode 38 revealed her name. And even then, it's never actually spoken on-screen.
  • Posthumous Character: According to Stacy, she's long dead prior to the series, presumably at Barashitara's hands.
  • Silk Hiding Steel: She's shown to be kind and gentle, but also able to stand up to Barashitara without batting an eyelid. On a darker note, she's able to fight with nothing but a dagger on her, coming very close to killing Stacy under Bon Wald's trance.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: It's clear where Stacy got his looks from.

    Captain Pillart Goldtsuiker

Portrayed by: Riichi Seike

The ancestor of the Goldtsuiker siblings.

Other beings

The Creator of Worlds/"God" (Unmarked Spoilers)

Portrayed by: Various; Kiita Komagine (live, final episode), Rintaro Shimizu (suit, final episode)

A mysterious being claiming to be the god and creator of the various parallel worlds, who is revealed to have been possessing Gege. He seeks the downfall of the Tozitend for reasons unknown.

  • Affably Evil: He's oddly genial to the Zenkaigers, despite him terrorizing their world through Gege for much of the series. In the finale, he was willing to let Kaito release all of the parallel worlds from their Toziru Gears, having come around to Kaito's thinking.
  • Ambiguous Situation: While he does have some degree of omniscient powers, it isn't clarified how far do they go.
  • Ambiguously Evil: He doesn't seem to be actively opposing the heroes, even claiming that he wishes to defeat the Tozitend. Yet he is responsible for the Walds terrorizing the Zenkaigers' world through Gege for much of the series, he destroys an entire world without batting an eyelid, and has no qualms possessing people willy-nilly. In episode 48, his goal seems to be imprisoning all of the worlds into Toziru Gears to preserve them after he made too many.
  • Body Surf: Can switch between people to possess. Aside from Gege and Stacy, he's also possessed Gaon and Vroon, Magine and humans such as Su and Kaito.
  • Character Tics: Anyone he possesses tend to walk with their hands crossed behind their back.
  • Dissonant Serenity: His smile when he takes Kaito's form is not friendly at all.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: He could have simply just destroyed all the "unneeded" worlds from the start, but even he thought that would have been a cruel act and a waste of material.
  • Final Boss: After Boccowaus is destroyed, he takes over as the main villain, sealing every world left into Toziru gears and becoming the final threat to the Zenkaigers.
  • The Ghost: He does not have a unique appearance physically or in voice, instead using the bodies of others to interact with people. His final appearance has him use Kaito's own appearance as a spiritual avatar to communicate with him in his own mind.
  • The Gods Must Be Lazy: His primary motivation is that he got overexcited creating new worlds one after another until he eventually made more than he could handle, and rather than just destroy those worlds began manipulating the Tozitend so that they could be sealed away for posterity. Kaito eventually calls him out on his irresponsible behavior and convinces him to start taking better care of every world.
  • Graceful Loser: After Kaito beats him, he smiles and tells Kaito where the sealed worlds are being kept.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: He created all of the parallel worlds, and is the being behind the Tozitend's conquest.
  • Light Is Not Good: While taking on Kaito's form, he is dressed in an all-white version of his outfit.
  • Loophole Abuse:
    • While he may have promised Kaito that he'd stop possessing Stacy, he didn't say anything about other people like Kaito himself.
    • He also promises to possess the Zenkaigers in sequence for communication, but didn't promise against using their bodies for his own ends.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Despite having a possible theory why Zenkaitopia could not be sealed, he decides to let the Zenkaigers fight the Tozitend to decide the last world standing rather than resolve the glitch, merely for his amusement.
  • Mysterious Backer: To the Zenkaigers, though why he suddenly decided to do so and turn on the Tozitend is still unknown.
  • No Name Given: He doesn't appear to have a name, instead being referred to as "Kami-sama" by the Zenkaigers.
  • Not-So-Well-Intentioned Extremist: He's made more Worlds than he can handle, and as such decides the best way to preserve them without having to erase any of them is to segregate them all into Toziru Gears, which was why he initially assisted the Tozitend in their scheme. However not only has this been threatening the lives of Zenkaitopia, it's unknown to what degree of And I Must Scream the sealed Worlds suffer.
  • Playing Both Sides: He's been guiding the Tozitend through Gege, while also possessing Stacy to help the Zenkaigers. He later offers to help the Zenkaigers take down the Tozitend, making his true goals even more mysterious.
  • Soft-Spoken Sadist: No matter who he possesses, he always talks in a very polite tone, which only serves to highlight how he doesn't care for others.
  • Walking Spoiler: It's hard to discuss anything about him without bringing up Gege's true role or his endgame.
  • Weirdness Search and Rescue: His ultimate goal is to sort and seal up all but one of his worlds for preservation, and to that extent actively possesses mediums to send people Trapped in Another World back home.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: He wasn't seen again after informing Kaito of the Toziru Gear System's hidden location. He presumably returned to taking care of the worlds he created.
