"Say hello to my little friend!"

Citizenship: Colombian

Affiliation(s): The Five Fathers, Institute for Human Betterment, French Foreign Legion, Himself

Voiced By: Kerry Shale

One of 47's five "fathers" (gene donors). His headquarters and drug lab are located deep in a jungle in Colombia.

  • Adapted Out: He is the only one of 47's "gene fathers" not to be featured again in the Video Game Remake parts of Hitman: Contracts, along with the omission of the Colombia levels.
  • Arc Villain: He's the main villain of the Columbia arc.
  • Authority Equals Asskicking: Much like his inspiration, Pablo has an inexplicable immunity to small-caliber guns (probably thanks to his cocaine binge) and even says, "I feel no pain!" as he is getting shot.
  • Ax-Crazy: Has this reputation even among the other criminals 47 hunts.
  • Boss Banter: In "Say Hello To My Little Friend", Pablo will interrupt the battle to laugh off each and every bullet you put in him. Even if you're using the minigun!
  • Bottomless Magazines: He has an infinite amount of bullets in his gun. He will fire at the wall for hours is given the chance.
  • Captain Ersatz: Is one for Tony Montana. He even attacks 47 with the same weapon and shout.
  • The Cartel: Is the leader of one of these.
  • Cut His Heart Out with a Spoon: Pablo threatens to club 47 "like a piñata" and feed him to his piranha fish.
  • Drugs Are Bad: He's high on cocaine and has become an incoherant lunatic, wildly firing at 47 while throwing taunts at him, however...
  • Drugs Are Good: He can take far more bullets than the average mook due to being unable to feel pain because of his constant cocaine usage.
  • Evil Old Folks: He's almost seventy by the time of the game but one of the tougher opponents in a fight.
  • Expy: Of Tony Montana aka Scarface, with the differences that he's Colombian, cocaine seems to enhance him and his face is more monstrous.
  • Immune to Bullets: Has a strong resistance to them and is immune to weaker guns. Word of God is he's just that hopped up on cocaine.
  • Large Ham: Subtlety is not his strong suit. He screams and hams up almost all his lines.
  • Made of Iron: He'll take bullet after bullet and keep taunting 47.
  • Older Than They Look: He is 70 years old, but looks like he's in his 50s.
  • Skippable Boss: You can spare yourself the trouble of directly confronting him. Here's how:
    • There is a guard tower just east of the mansion that offers you a view of Pablo's room and there's a sniper rifle in it. You can snipe at him from here and it will take fewer shots to kill him than if you run into the drug den to fight him. If he's coked up to the eyeballs already and you backtrack to the tower, Pablo's HP will skyrocket and he will return your shots.
    • Alternatively, if you brought a sniper rifle from the first Colombian mission, you can just snipe him from the spawn of the level and instantly kill him without attracting any guards, because they're all on the other side of the map.
  • Wake-Up Call Boss: He's an extremely hardy foe, and getting to him is as difficult as killing him due to his guards being extremely numerous and well armed.

    Frantz Fuchs and Fritz Fuchs

Frantz Fuchs

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/franz_fuchs___contracts.jpg

Citizenship: Austrian

Affiliation(s): The Fuchs Brothers, The Five Fathers, Institute for Human Betterment, French Foreign Legion

Appears in: Hitman: Codename 47 | Hitman: Contracts

Voiced By: N/A

A former Nazi turned terrorist, Frantz Fuchs is one of three brothers who are members of an infamous terrorist organization. His younger brother Fritz is the one possessing the nuclear warhead, and eliminating him is required to complete the mission.

  • Adaptational Attractiveness: Both brothers look less deformed and have smoother facial features. They're still not the prettiest terrorists though.
  • Adaptational Intelligence: Frantz screams for his guards if conronted in contracts instead of just staying there and letting himself be killed without a fight.
  • Alliterative Name: The Fuchs brothers: Frantz, Fritz and Fabian. The latter appeared in Contracts as the hitherto unknown sibling.
  • Artificial Stupidity: Fritz won't react to the time bomb if you drop it next to him on the ground.
  • Asshole Victim: Fritz isn't a target until contracts, but he's still necessary to kill to complete the mission. Due to being a terrorist, it's hard to feel sorry for him when he kicks the bucket.
  • Carpet of Virility: Frantz has one in contracts.
  • Deadly Bath: Frantz is killed while in the shower by 47. Fritz can also be assassinated while he is relaxing in the pools or the sauna.
  • Depraved Dentist: If you run into Fritz in the hotel, you'll recognize him by his telltale lab coat.
  • Don't Touch It, You Idiot!: If Fritz is at the pool, head toward the sauna and you should see Fritz relaxing in there. Talk to him and he'll give you a great hint as to how to kill him without laying a finger on him. He'll tell you he has a heart problem and that the heat of the sauna can kill him. Head innocently back out the door. Looks like a tasty valve, doesn't it? Fritz will try to run out of the sauna to cool down, but you'll be holding the door shut.
  • Expy: Frantz may be an allegory to the real-life Frantz Fuchs, a xenophobic serial bomber who killed four people with I.E.Ds and mailbombs sent to people and organizations he felt were friendly to foreigners.
    • Fritz is a parody of Adolf Hitler, as he is an Austrian with strong Nazi affiliations. Like the German Dictator, he also has black hair and a thin moustache.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Frantz Loved his brothers and is friendly with the other clone fathers. It's assumed Fritz also felt the same way for his brother.
  • Evil Old Folks: Frantz is about 70 and a nazi terrorist.
  • Fan Disservice: Seeing Frantz's old fat butt in a g-string is not the sexiest of sights, unless you're into obese nazi terrorists.
  • Fat Bastard: Frantz is a fat former Nazi turned terrorist. Fritz isn't much healthier.
  • Gonk: Frantz is one of the ugliest targets in the series, being morbidly obese and covered with pimples and mishapen facial features.
  • Immortality Immorality: In his writings, Frantz seems to be feeling his age more than the others, which might explain his eagerness to betray the Professor and take over the project.
  • Light Is Not Good: Fritz wears a white lab coat and is a dangerous terrorist.
  • Know When to Fold 'Em: Frantz doesn't resist when 47 literally catches him with his pants down.
  • Mad Bomber: Frantz is the explosives expert of the bunch.
  • Make It Look Like an Accident: Fritz is the first target that can be killed using accidents.
    • He can be drowned in the pool. This is confirmed to be his canon elimination in the 2016 trailer.
    • He can also be locked in the sauna, which he idiotically decided to use despite having a heart condition.
  • Nazi Grandpa: Frantz was in the Hitler Youth when he was a teen and resented the fall of Nazi Germany.
  • Non-Nude Bathing: Frantz bathes in a thong, likely due to the developers wishing to avoid including nudity in the game.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: Frantz is a former nazi, so this is just a given. Fritz supports his brother's beliefs and looks like Adolf Hitler, so he's also definitely this.
  • Sauna of Death: These things can be dangerous to people with heart conditions.
  • Terrorists Without a Cause: The Fuchs bros. are plotting to detonate a chemical bomb once all the foreign dignitaries are in place. Frantz is a wistful Nazi who makes a living as a freelance terrorist.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Fritz somehow thinks it's a good idea to tell a complete stranger about his health issues. Said stranger uses this information to murder him.
  • Villains Out Shopping: There are a few stops Fritz makes on his rounds, as he frequently moves about the hotel. The guy never works. Anyways, his secretary will tell you he's either in the casino, the restaurant, or the thermal baths.
  • Western Terrorists: Frantz and his brothers are Post-Nazi versions of this.

    Boris

Arkadij "Boris" Jegorov / Boris Ivanovich Deruzka

Citizenship: Kazakh

Affiliation(s): Sergei Jegorov, The Five Fathers, Institute for Human Betterment, French Foreign Legion, Himself

Appears in: Hitman: Codename 47 | Hitman: Contracts

Voiced By: Kerry Shale (Codename 47) | Unknown (Contracts)

An international gunrunner born in 1930 in Semipalatinsk, Kazakhstan. He has a brother, Sergei Zavorotko, who lured 47 out from his retirement in Hitman 2: Silent Assassin.

  • Adaptation Name Change: Arkadij "Boris" Jegorov in Codename 47 becomes Boris Ivanovitch Deruzka in Contracts. This could either be attributed to one (or both) of these names being an alias or 47 misremembering the details, as the Rotterdam arc is the one that sees the most changes between the two games.
  • A Nuclear Error: Deals in atomic weapons among other items.
  • Arc Villain: He's the main boss in the Rotterdam arc.
  • Arms Dealer: His primary profession. He established gun running running routes using contacts built up during his time in the Legion and was smuggling them for his brother amongst his many other activities. By the time 47 catches up with him, he's got his hands on a nuke.
  • Bad Boss: He's fine with letting all his men perish in a nuclear explosion so long as he kills 47 as well.
  • Cigar Chomper: He's fond of cigars, as his portrait in "Gunrunner's Paradise" shows.
  • Deus ex Nukina: The big challenge of "Plutonium Runs Loose" is that if you let a single guard find a body—and he is not silenced himself—you can pretty much kiss the mission goodbye. First you will see, "a dead guard has been found" and then soon after, "a guard is running to report to Boris". At that point, Boris will arm the nuke, dart into his limo and take off, failing the mission for you.
  • Dirty Communists: Subverted. Arkadji absolutely despised them and did everything he could to undercut them growing up.
  • Dirty Coward: He runs off the instant 47 appears, leaving his men to fight him while he makes a hasty retreat.
  • The Dragon: Hitman 2: Silent Assassin reveals that he was smuggling guns for his brother, Sergei.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Averted with his father who turned him in and his brother who had nothing but contempt for him.
  • Evil Old Folks: Is sixty six and still doing work in the field.
  • Gonk: He is rather sleazy looking, to put it mildly.
  • Hawaiian-Shirted Tourist: Has a preference for loud Hawaiian shirts. In Rotterdam. In C47, it's blue, but is red in Contracts.
  • Just You and Me and My GUARDS!: Boris always senses when 47 is approaching and he will take extra measures to stop you: He arms his nuke to detonate in the harbor, sics a dozen or more guards on you and then ducks into his car, causing an automatic fail.
  • Karmic Death: He can be blown up, an ironic end for a terrorist with a nuclear bomb in his arsenal.
  • Mad Bomber: Boris is ready and able to cover his tracks with a nuclear explosion. However, he gets a nasty surprise if you thought ahead and planted a bomb in his car.
  • The Mafiya: Is the second-in-command of a massive criminal syndicate. His brother, however, is the more dangerous of the two.
  • Needle in a Stack of Needles:
    • Boris is doing business with a Dutch biker gang, the Flamin' W'Mills, in Rotterdam harbor, one of the biggest ports in the world. Fortunately, the bikers aren't nearly as careful as Boris.
    • In the remake, the gang is all set to deliver Boris' nuke as promised, but attaching a GPS to the car is just a formality. It's all very convenient once you're on the boat, since the car gets loaded into a random shipping container. But there's so few containers in the hold that it's easy to just search them all until you uncover the bomb. This was probably included as a treat for players who remember the car in "Gunrunner's Paradise".
  • Oh, Crap!: He runs for the hills when 47 makes his way onto his ship.
  • Properly Paranoid: While it's cowardly to flee 47 despite having a mini army behind his back, it's a perfectly reasonable thing to do considering who 47 is.
  • Revolvers Are Just Better: Wields a magnum revolver in Contracts.
  • Sinister Shades: They add to his creepy and odious appearance.
  • Stone Wall: In the first game, Boris ain't packing anything impressive in the firearms department, but he's a lot tougher than the average player would expect, only taking a little less damage than the likes of Pablo and Tzun. However, Boris' strategy isn't to duel you but to peace out before the bomb goes off, so he generally doesn't threaten 47 nearly as much as the other armed guards. Come Contracts, he goes down like any other mook or generic target.
  • Taking You with Me: In "Deadly Cargo", if the player has not killed Boris before the SWAT team arrives, or defused the nuclear weapon he's selling, sniping or otherwise killing him as he holds the trigger will result in Rotterdam going up in a massive mushroom cloud.
Captain: Борис Иваныч, ты чего? Если тебя застрелят, нам же всем кранты! If they shoot you, we all die!"
Boris: (shoots him in the head) And that matters to me because?

    Dr. Kovacs

Dr. Odon Kovacs

Citizenship: Unknown (Presumably either Romanian or Hungarian)

Affiliation(s): Dr. Otto Wolfgang Ort-Meyer, Institute for Human Betterment

Voiced By: Unknown

The doctor who runs the Romanian lunatic asylum beneath which Dr. Ort-Meyer's lab is hidden.

  • Best Served Cold: Dr. Kovacs doesn't look like much, does he? He will start talking to you and will reveal that his memory gets jogged during the conversation. So much for keeping the truth from "Tobias Rieper". Once the conversation ends, 47 can bring out the syringe and plunge it into the doc's neck before he runs away. It's quick, silent and poetic, too.
  • Covert Group with Mundane Front: The lunatic asylum he runs is a cover for Dr. Otto Wolfgang Ort-Meyer's unethical experiments that led to the killer clones program.
  • Dirty Coward: He runs away if confronted, due to knowing how dangerous 47 is.
  • The Dragon: To Ort-Meyer. This doesn't stop Ort-Meyer from ordering a hit on him.
  • Four Eyes, Zero Soul: A mad doctor who wears glasses.
  • Karmic Death: He's killed by the man he experimented on.
  • Mad Doctor: He's a doctor who experiments on his patients and was responsible for turning 47 into what he is now.
  • Mugged for Disguise: One of the only targers who this works with. It gives 47 access to most of the level, despite him looking nothing like Kovacs.
  • Never My Fault: He tries to pin all the blame on Ort-Meyer. 47 isn't having any of it.
  • Would Hurt a Child: He experimented on a young 47, enough to give the assassin PTSD and a phobia of needles. It's likely 47 wasn't the only child to fall victim to his experiments.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Ort-Meyer certainly thinks this. Kovacs is killed only so 47 can be lured into the asylum and handed over to the SWAT team.

    Dr. Ort-Meyer

Dr. Otto Wolfgang Ort-Meyer

    48's
The final evolution of the clones that Ort-Meyer has been making. They're the final barrier between 47 and the Mad Scientist.
  • Blind Obedience: They're more weapon than man, having no free will, making them the perfect killing machines, as they only exist to serve Ort-Meyer's twisted ambitions.
  • The Computer Is a Cheating Bastard: They can use tactics that 47 himself cannot use, such as dodge rolling. It's justified since they are more advanced versions of 47.
  • Dark Is Evil: Just like 47!
  • Evil Twin: Ten of them! They've got the exact same genetic makeup as 47, so they look absolutely identical.
  • Final Boss: They're the last enemies fought, even if they're not the last to die in the game.
  • Flat Character: Naturally, as Ort-Meyer has bred them specifically to have no personality whatsoever. They only exist to be living weapons for Ort-Meyer to use and abuse.
  • Fragile Speedster: They cannot take many hits, yet they can dish out damage very quickly, due to their impeccable firepower provided to them by Ort-Meyer.
  • Frozen Face: In contrast to 47, the 48s display a constant Slasher Smile, that persists even after death.
  • Giant Space Flea from Nowhere: They appear without any buildup, hindering 47's efforts to kill his evil father.
  • Glass Cannon: They have rather low health but deal very high damage due to using MP5 submachine guns.
  • The Heavy: Since Ort-Meyer cannot fight 47 due to his age and especially for the genetically modified 47, the 48s are willing to do his dirty work for him.
  • Human Weapon: They exist to be a tool for Ort-Meyer to use to Take Over the World.
  • Reused Character Design: They have the exact character design as 47, due to being clones like him.
  • Upgrade vs. Prototype Fight: The 48-series clones are the Upgrades to 47's Prototype.
  • Walking Spoiler: Their appearance completely changes the tone of the game, showing 47 really is a clone.

    U'wa Chief

U'wa Chief

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/uwachief.jpg
"You have been a great friend, stranger. Now I owe you help."

Citizenship: Colombian

Affiliation(s): U'wa tribe

Voiced By: Unknown

The chief of the U'Wa tribe that lives in the Colombian jungle. 47 must befriend them in order to find informations on how to reach the camp of Pablo Ochoa.

  • Adapted Out: Along with Pablo Ochoa and the whole set of missions in Colombia, he is not featured at all in the Video Game Remake parts of Hitman: Contracts.
  • Fetch Quest: 47 must bring him the golden idol of Tchiectzhelux that was stolen by Pablo Ochoa's men and free his brother from them in order to gain his trust.
  • Mayincatec: The U'wa tribe seems to have some Aztec attributes (his headdress) and worships at least one Aztec god (Tezcatlipoca) plus another with an Aztec-ish name (Tchiectzhelux). Aztec civilization didn't stretch as far as Colombia.

    Tezcatlipoca

Tezcatlipoca, the God of Death

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hitmanjaguar.jpg

Species: Jaguar

A large jaguar worshiped by the U'Wa tribe as an avatar of their god of death ("Tezcatlipoca") in the Amazonian jungle. It appears in the middle mission in Colombia. 47 must use a secret passage behind the beast's altar to get to the camp of Pablo Ochoa.

  • Adapted Out: Along with Pablo Ochoa and the whole set of missions in Colombia, the beast is not featured at all in the Video Game Remake parts of Hitman: Contracts.
  • Mayincatec: The U'wa tribe somehow worships an old Aztec god (for which indeed jaguars were sacred animals). Aztec civilization didn't stretch as far as Colombia.
  • Panthera Awesome: If 47 gets too close to the beast, it will maul him to death in seconds.
  • Sheathe Your Sword: It is actually required not to kill the beast. 47 must kill a nearby pig and use its carcass to lure the jaguar away in order to safely get to the secret passage.

    Ivan

Ivan Zilvanovitch

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ivan_2.jpg

Citizenship: Russian

Affiliation(s): Arkadij Jegorov, Zilvanovitch's Circus

Voiced By: Unknown

A former pickpocket from Moscow. His love for cards and drugs left him in utter ruin, with no way out except suicide and his botched attempt made him land on a traveling circus' train. He became a daredevil clown, gained control of the circus and ended up using it as cover for illegal arm dealing. He later became Arkadij "Boris" Jegorov's frontman.

  • Adapted Out: He is missing from the Rotterdam missions' remake in Hitman: Contracts.
  • Circus of Fear: He runs a circus as a front for his weapons smuggling, although we never get to see it.
  • Depraved Dwarf: Short in size and very evil.
  • The Dragon: Boris' main henchman.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: A pickpocket who considers suicide, jumps off a bridge, but lands on a circus wagon instead, after which he becomes an evil, vicious clown.
  • Happily Failed Suicide: Ivan's suicide jump off a bridge was "mistimed" and he crashed through the roof of a traveling circus train. Believing it to be an omen, Ivan joined the troupe as a stunt dwarf and clown and gradually took control of the circus.
  • Mister Big: He is short in size and he's in control of an arms dealing/smuggling business.
  • Monster Clown: An evil former circus clown turned arms dealer.
  • Mythology Gag: The training dummy 47 uses in his Sicily church garden in Hitman 2: Silent Assassin wears Ivan's clown clothes.
  • Skippable Boss: Ivan is the courier, which means that he's a VIP that must be left alive in "Gunrunner's Paradise". He can be killed in "Plutonium Runs Loose" (in the ship's engine room, then he tries to flee towards the limo when Boris is alerted), but it's not necessary to complete the mission (he dies in the limo's explosion if the player chooses to plant a bomb in it for Boris and leaves him alone).

Others

    Lei Ling

Lei Ling / Mei Ling

    Tzun

Tzun / Zhun

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zun.jpg

Citizenship: Chinese

Affiliation(s): Red Dragon Triad

Appears in: Hitman: Codename 47 | Hitman: Contracts

Voiced By: Unknown

Lee Hong's personal bodyguard and his right-hand man in Hong Kong. He will escort his boss everywhere to guard him from any possible danger, including tasting Hong's food for poison.

  • Awesome by Analysis: Is one of the two enemies in the game who can see through all of 47's disguises.
  • Consummate Professional: An extremely thorough bodyguard.
  • Determinator: In Codename 47, in his dying moments from being poisoned he grabs hold of 47’s ankles to stop him from chasing Lee Hong.
  • The Dragon: Lee Hong's personal bodyguard and food taster.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: His constant checks on escape routes allows 47 the ability to garrote him. On top of that if the poison route is chosen, his gun is stolen and used to kill him by 47.
  • Kevlard: Despite only wearing a lose silk robe, he can soak significantly more bullets than standard mooks. Despite his size, he can still be fiber-wired or otherwise executed from behind.
  • King Mook: Not trying to poison Tzun means having to deal with him at Hong's mansion on the north end. The problem with this is that Tzun can see through your disguises no matter what you're wearing and he has a LOT of guards to back him up. If you're feeling more bold (or suicidal), then you're welcome to try. Tzun is most vulnerable when he's out on patrol.
  • Skippable Boss: It is never necessary to kill him, though it helps a lot and the player never suffers a penalty after killing him. Just clean the roof where you helped Lei Ling escape, give the jade statue to the old spice merchant, get an Uzi and ammo for it, go back to the roof and kill Hong and Tzun through the glass roof with it (killing a waiter to poison Tzun is actually Shmuck Bait, you lose money and it prevents you from getting some nice weapons in the first Colombia mission). Then exit without fuss.
  • Undying Loyalty: To Lee Hong. He's willing to die for him and proves it.
  • Villainous Friendship: In Contracts, the translation of the conversation Tzun and Lee Hong have is an affable talk about gambling, Lee Hong actually warns Tzun not to foolishly gamble away more of his money.
