Harry Black (previously Potter) / Hadrian Remus Black Lord Wilkes

  • Abusive Parents: Exaggerated with the Dursleys. Pre-Hogwarts his medical records include one broken arm, a fractured clavicle, and at least four cracked ribs, he even thought "Freak" was his name before he was six. This is revealed to be because a curse make the Dursleys think he was a dangerous monster
  • Adaptational Badass: Harry is very more powerful than his canon version, because he is obsessed with proving that he is better than his brother
  • Adaptational Jerkass: Discovering that his parents were alive and initially thinking that he didn't have a real reason for living with the Dursleys make him a bitter Anti-Hero instead of the canon hero.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: His descriptions are less insulting about physicall appareance of people than his homologue from the book. Also he looks concerned with the the way the wizards treat Gnomes.
  • Adaptation Name Change: His real name is Hadrian Remus Potter (later Black), though he goes by Harry.
  • Animal Motifs: Snakes. He is in Slytherin, talks with snakes, descends from Salazar Slytherin on his mother's side and his patronus is Amigo, the boa constrictor that he freed.
  • Cynicism Catalyst: See Adaptational Jerkass.
  • Family of Choice: Theo, Blaise, Hermione, Neville, Ginny and Amy become the family he never had. Then it's later subverted with Amy because they are actually cousins
  • Genre Blindness: Harry did not realize the son of a presumed Black Widow Countess and the son of a psychopathic dark wizard might already have Occulumency shields and experience, nor did he realize by himself that he should summon a snake and have it act as a way to speak with the silent Hydra. (Theo had to suggest it.)
  • Hates Being Touched: Harry makes an effort to not flinch when the people hug him, the only person that he feel confortable hugging is Hermione. Amy noticed that.
  • Jerkass with a Heart of Gold: Even while being bitter and sarcastic, he is very protective with his friends, and tries to help them up to constantly risking his life for them.
  • Murder Is the Best Solution: In his first two years he was a firmly believer of this, although later when he was close to killing Ron to eliminate Tom Riddle in his diary form he abandoned that approach.
  • "Well Done, Son" Guy: Harry initially decides to study hard at Hogwarts for this trope. It doesn't last.
