London has been experiencing a pretty nasty ghost problem as of late. The River Thames is glowing at night, people are losing stuff from their pockets left, right, and center, what's a mortal to do?
Why, start up a ghost-busting business, of course.
And that's just what you've done with GhostControl Inc. You can hire ghost hunters, take calls from people experiencing problems, and co-ordinate your teams when they're out in the field.
The game was funded on Kickstarter on June 24th, 2013. It saw its release on June 6th, 2014.
GhostControl Inc. contains examples of:
- Bedsheet Ghost: This is an enemy type that you can encounter in the game. They're called "Halloween Spirits".
- Bottomless Fuel Tanks: You need to refuel your car regularly.
- Creepy Cemetery: There will be jobs that have you going to graveyards.
- Destructive Savior: Your controllers can break things on the job, but this can cause money to be deducted from your pay.
- Elemental Embodiment: Fire Spirits are giant floating skulls made of fire.
- In-Universe Game Clock: In the top right side of the screen is a digital clock that's constantly counting upward. The buttons underneath it can let you pause, play and fast-forward time.
- Isometric Projection: The game is viewed in this manner.
- Our Ghosts Are Different: There are plenty of different types of ghosts in the game.
- The Real Spoofbusters: You're basically the Ghostbusters in all but name.
- Sanity Meter: Your Ghost Controllers have a sanity meter that takes hits out in the field.
- Theremin: If you listen to the music in the game, you will hear theremin music.
