These are the members of Suzaku's former guild, Fighting Spirit. The guild used to be called Angel's Feather and was one of the most prominent guilds in Fiore, but a certain incident forced the guild to downsize and change names. Now, the guild is relatively small in stature, housing so few members you could count them on your hands and feet. They have a friendly relationship with Knightmare Frame and have a training camp with the guild once a year. Almost every member of the guild is an Expy to someone according to Word of God.

In General

One-Man Army: Most of the members are S-class mages and well-experienced ones at that. The only members under the age of twenty are Bakuto, Rukia and Renji and Vixie's other unnamed daughter.
Sacrificial Lion: Rorix, Chandra, Shimon, Orochi, Vanessa, Selina, Leaf, Renji and Vixie all die fighting Tartaros during chapter 248. Luckily Morrigan brings them all back to life on the next chapter.
We Do the Impossible: Their way of life.

Chandra Graymare

Rorix’s older sister and one of the more powerful members of Fighting Spirit. Chandra is like Juvia only rather than drowning people with rain, she sets them on fire. Chandra is always ready for a challenge and cares very much about her fellow guild members. If you value your life, you won’t force her into Fiery Body: Blaze Mode. She wears a breastplate of tungsten armor to avoid melting and evaporating her own clothes.

All Amazons Want Hercules: And she found her Hercules in Isamu Kurusu, former guild master of Phoenix Grave.
Amazonian Beauty: Super badass and super hot, in more ways than one.
Berserk Button: Don’t harm her nakama or the result is her entering her Super Mode
Berserker Tears: They even catch fire. Chandra gets super angry when she, and the reader, are under the impression that Rorix is dead.
Blood Knight: Chandra loves a good challenge and hates it when enemies aren’t worth her time. To quote "You can’t follow up a nuke with a cherry bomb."

Clothing Damage: Averted thanks to her body armor that doesn’t burn from the intense heat caused by her magic.
- Played straight when Nirix destroys her armor with a single punch, but in her Blaze Mode she has Barbie Doll Anatomy.
- Chapter 168 ALSO plays it straight, when Kagura cuts her Tungsten armour clean in half, she ends up with bikini armour, even saying she could "get used to a look like this" and even asks Isaumu if she looks good...She doesn't get a response, although Jace is certainly into it.
Fiery Redhead: Oh my god, and HOW?!
The Immodest Orgasm: How she acts when Isamu takes her virginity. She wakes up both Rorix and Renji in the process.
Implacable Woman: Chandra's fire body and freakish stamina have let her fight with Nirix for the entirety of the battle despite her initial aids of Kallen, Sting and Rogue all getting wrecked as the battle wore on. She's also outraged at the moment since she thinks Rorix is dead.
Kill It with Fire: Her main method of attack.
Like a Son to Me: She thinks this of Natsu because the two of them are so alike.
Shout-Out: Her name and powers are most likely a tip off to that of Chandra Naalar.
Shown Their Work: Tungsten is a very temperature resistant metal, making it the perfect armor for Chandra’s magic to work and avoid Clothing Damage. It's hard too, so it functions well as conventional body armor. The main drawback is it's incredibly heavy, which is something of a handicap.
Super Mode: Fiery Body: Blaze Mode. She activates it when her Berserk Button is pressed and you do not want to be on the receiving end of it.

Chikara Rasenhime

A young girl that Shimon saves from slavers. The rescue of which catapults the events of the Pursuit of Justice arc. She is a spiral spirit from the immaterial realm.

Heroic Sacrifice: With the last of her strength, she transfers everything she is to Shimon so that he can become a spiral god slayer. She only didn't do it sooner because she liked being with him and the others
Last of Her Kind: She turns out to be a spiral princess from the immaterial realm and manifested herself in the real world to prevent other spirits from fighting over her.
Never Gets Drunk: She drank both Orochi and Chandra under the table. The reason for this is because she's an immaterial spirit and therefore can't get drunk at all.

Genbu Kururugi

Suzaku’s father and teacher. He was one of the best members of Angel’s Feather during its time.

Papa Wolf: He protects Suzaku with his very life. literally.
Taking the Bullet: For Suzaku.
Post Humous Character

Juren Rakkan

The guildmaster of Fighting Spirit, formerly known as Angel’s Feather. He is also the former number one Wizard Saint. He revoked his status as Wizard Saint in order to protect his guild and apparently saved the world. He has Testosterone Poisoning to the degree that he makes Orochi look like a pasty nerd.

Cool Old Guy: He's over 120 and still as strong as in his youth.
Let's Get Dangerous!: In his fight against Serena and Hayabusa, he finally unleashes his trump card; Trace On: Battle Armor.
Manly Tears: Sheds these when Nivea dies.
Older Than They Look: His magic has allowed him to look a quarter his age.
Papa Wolf: Like with fellow Wizard Saint and guildmaster Makarov, don’t screw with his guild.
Parental Substitute: He took care of Nivea after she lost her parents.
Person of Mass Destruction: He disintegrated a dragon.
You Need to Get Laid: He says Siegfried should visit the nearest brothel, consequences be damned.

Leaf Valentine

A former member of Demon's Horn that somehow traveled thirty years into the future after disappearing on a mission in the year X761. She is Selina's best friend and her grammar leaves something to be desired. Her magic is called Wonder Magic, which is inspired from the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World.

Combat Stilettos: Implied, given she dresses like a playboy bunny.
Dishing Out Dirt: Pyramid of Giza drops an entire pyramid down on the enemy's head that can then crumble into smaller chunks.
Engrish: Calls Angel's Feather once as Angeru Featha.
Hope Bringer: The Lighthouse of Alexandria works this way, it restores magic and heals the wounds of her comrades and even erases fear and doubt. It's also a Dangerous Forbidden Technique, since it leaves her nearly drained of magic.
Remember the New Guy?: In a case of Real Life Writes the Plot, Sheath had not been created yet at the time of the Fighting Spirit arc. The writer liked the character so much that he had to find a way for a character based on her to somehow get involved in the plot. Leaf's introduction is what he came up with.
Sizeshifter: Her Colossus of Rhodes allow her to make herself, or another person, gigantic.

Nivea Feathermane

Fighting Spirit’s second strongest mage ever. Her magic forte is in fire, holy and gravity magics as well as a slight bit of ex-quip. Her unique magic power is her White Wings of Heaven which makes her very angelic like. She dies after the Rise to Power arc by deciding that she is too old to fight and have the strength to protect her friends any longer.—-

Authority Equals Asskicking: She is the guild’s number two best for a reason. was the number two best.
BFS: Her flaming greatsword.
Iron Lady
Light 'em Up: While she has skill with fire magic and her Angel Blade gives her power over gravity Nivea’s strong suit is her angelic powers.
Long-Lost Relative: She turns out to be the first cousin twice removed of Erza Scarlet and the second cousin twice removed to Meredy.
Parental Substitute: She's seen as one by most of her guild, especially Suzaku and Rorix, and she sees them as her surrogate children in return.
Passing the Torch: To Rorix after she decides that she's too old to fight any longer and that he has surpassed her as a mage.
Number Two
The Ace: Which is why she’s so revered by her guild.
Team Mom: We all know who’s really been leading the guild these last several decades.

Orochi Bahn

A character resembling Kamina in all but name. That should say it all really.

Casanova Wannabe: Despite his manliness, any attempt of scoring a girl is quickly shut down.

Leeroy Jenkins: When the team is getting ready to raid a base full of slavers, Orochi just charges forward hammy speech and all.
Shout-Out: While it’s obvious who he’s based off of his surname borrows itself to another Bahn.

Renji Blake

A coolheaded sword and gun mage. He is married to Vixie with a daughter named Rukia.

Rorix Graymare

A Lovable Sex Maniac whose special skill is Metal Make. He can craft several objects such as swords, coins, and thick walls out of various metals including, but not limited to: platinum, titanium, tungsten, and even sakuradite and adamantine. He is married to Vanessa and they have a son named Bakuto. He is the younger brother of Chandra Graymare.

Absurdly Sharp Blade: Justified since one of his metals is Damascus which is incredibly sharp when used for cutting.
Dual Wielding: Often employs making two swords and fighting with them as his primary tactic for combat.
Defiant to the End: Despite being fatally injured, he still stabs Kingsley before dying. And even when he's too weak to do that, he spits on him.
Extra-ore-dinary: His magic allows him to fashion weapons and objects from metal.
Lovable Sex Maniac —> Lady Killer In Love: Was the former before becoming the latter upon meeting Vanessa, which changed his tune to be a one-woman-man as long as she was that woman.
My Sister Is Off-Limits: Has this attitude towards Isamu after he finds out he slept with Chandra, but quickly recants when Chandra says she's fine with it.
Improbable Aiming Skills: Something he picked up from Haken.
Improbable Weapon User: Metal Make: Coins, which has him launching metal coins at a target.
What You Are in the Dark: When he had the chance to shoot Yukino during the go-kart segment of the Pentathlon Marathon, he realizes she's too similar to his wife and can't bring himself to pull the trigger.

Selina Victoria

A Femme Fatale formerly from the dark guild Demon’s Horn. Said guild serves Grimoire Heart in the Balam Alliance. Selina’s idea of "playing" with people involves heavily maiming them and enjoying the thrill of battle. She is Suzaku’s mother.

Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: Comes with having a former Femme Fatale and The Tease as a mother. Suzaku has hoped more than once she doesn't embarrass him in front of others, including his guild.
Archenemy: To Genbu until her Heel–Face Turn.
Blood Knight: She enjoys the thrill of battle.
Even Evil Has Standards: Said standards are what get her in trouble with her boss, Hebiga, and her entire Quirky Miniboss Squad wiped out.
Femme Fatale: The narration describes her as one.
Heel–Face Turn: Technically this is a spoiler, but just by being on this page it should be obvious she had one of these.
Lady of War: She still has the grace of one even at her age.
Laser Blade: She wields two that were tailor-made(separately) by Lloyd and Rakshata.
Little Bit Beastly: Her new demon form has fox ears, and she actually likes it.
Mama Bear: She’s rather aloof at first, but touch one hair on her little boy’s head and she’ll make sure you regret it. Ask Zack. Oh wait, you can't. He's dead.
Parental Abandonment: She abandons Suzaku to his father Genbu because Selina, at the time, was a dark guild mage while Genbu was an example of a proper law abiding mage. She herself believes she made the right decision.
O.O.C. Is Serious Business: The main reason the members of Angel’s Feather know she’s telling the truth when she starts her Heel–Face Turn is because she’s crying and she would never just waltz into their territory like this.
The Mole: In chapter 261 she pretends to return to her evil ways and lets Tartaros turn her into a demon to get insight on their plans and protect Suzaku.
Stacy's Mom: Sting finds her particularly attractive. See The Tease below.
The Tease: Offers to give the members of Sabertooth her personal sizes and was disappointed that she couldn't participate in the Naval Battle to show off her swimsuit.
Walking the Earth: She does this for a few years in order to cement her Heel–Face Turn.

Shimon Ikari

A timid young boy that was roped into the guild of Fighting Spirit by Orochi Bahn. He fits the Classic Anti Hero archtype and has yet to really grow a pair, as it were.

Classic Anti Hero: His last name seems to reference this. Subverted as of late though.
One-Man Army: Best exemplified when he takes down Philosopher's Stone's team on his own.
Only Sane Man: He is the only one to object to his guild’s rather extreme solutions to problems.
Super-Powered Alter Ego: Implied given how much of a Shout-Out it made to Yu-Gi-Oh!.
- Subverted and not yet given an explanation since it turns out his power came from Chikara and he's really a Spiral God Slayer
  - According to Word of God Spiral God Slaying is so volatile that it can do almost anything, including making Shimon inhabit his older self's form temporarily.
Took a Level in Badass: After Chikara's Heroic Sacrifice during the X788 Grand Magic Games Shimon has finally become a man.
- That he's willing to fight alone against Phelia Blendy demonstrates how far he's come.

Vanessa Graymare

Vanessa is Fighting Spirit’s gentle and sweet healer. However, she isn’t above kicking ass when the situation calls for it. She uses a variation of wind magic to change the frictional relationship between two forces or between an object and air resistance or the way the wind is affecting an object. She is married to Rorix Graymare. They have a son named Bakuto.

BFS: Briefly as a nod to who she is an Expy of.
Blow You Away: Her secondary magic.
Buxom Beauty Standard: One of...rather two of the reasons her husband is so fond of her.

Vixie Blake

A blonde, horny, playful individual with a specialty in what she calls Shockwave Magic, a variety of lightning magic. She is married to Renji and has a daughter named Rukia. She calls her Roo-Roo, Roo-chan and Little Roo, affectionately.

Comedic Spanking: Any time she says something stupid, Renji spanks or threatens to spank her.

Leaning on the Fourth Wall: She wonders who "scripted" Fighting Spirit's fight against Alice by pretending to read what at first is supposed to be the chapter script, but the book she's reading is blank.
Red Oni, Blue Oni: The Red to her husband’s blue.
Shock and Awe: Her unison raid with Renji and also her primary magic
