- Ground Wave: He has an attack that operates similarly to Terry Bogard's Power Geyser and Power Wave.
- Known Only by Their Nickname: Efe's real name is revealed to be Ahmet in Slashers.
- Manly Facial Hair: This Ottoman soldier sports his facial hair in the manner of a goatee.
- Patriotic Fervor: He's strongly loyal to his country, the Ottoman Empire, and seeks the Dual Blades in the hopes of preventing his country's continued decline in the late Eighteenth Century. However, it is double subverted in that his ending. He gains enlightenment from the Dual Blades that reveals to him that "there is always a delicate balance, and that must come to an end in time." While he does not actively betray his country, he decides to let the empire meet its fate.
- Sinister Scimitar: The sinister part is subverted. He is determined to win for his country but isn't malicious.
Kanae Ozawa
Voiced by: Aida Cendros
One of the last two surviving members of the Ozawa family, along with her sister Mirei.
- Ancestral Weapon: The katana she wields has been in the Ozawa family for generations.
- Genius Bruiser: One of her likes listed in her profile includes "Studying philosophy".
- The Heroine: According to at least one source.
- Jumped at the Call: Alperen himself invited Kanae to his tournament upon learning of the power of the Dual Blades that would grant her own burning ambition (described under "Revenge" below).
- Long Hair Is Feminine: As can be seen here◊.
- Revenge: Her reason for seeking the eponymous Dual Blades from Alperen in the first place. She seeks to avenge the murder of her family from a clan of ninjas.
- Reverse Grip: She holds her sword in this fashion in manner similar to Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown.
- Shoryuken: As can be seen here.
- Sibling Rivalry: With her sister Mirei, who was kidnapped and raised by the very clan who murdered their father. Though despite her burning anger toward that ninja clan, she at least doesn't hold any personal animosity towards her sister.
Brandon O'Brien
Voiced by: Ignasi Berasategui
- BFS: Wields one of the biggest weapons of any fighters on the rosters.
- Blood Knight: He is a Spirited Competitor who enjoys fighting to prove himself in battle. He is a genuine sportsman in contrast to Shin and Rungard who are just violent sociopaths.
- Blue Is Heroic: He primarily wears blue clothing. Notably even his hair is blue.
- Eagleland: Mixed example. He is not malicious, but he is also very smug and cocky.

- Spiky Hair: Can be seen in link above.
- Spin Attack: Of which has a rather long reach via his giant sword.
- Walking Shirtless Scene: Aside from the strap for his sword's scabbard's, he has chest bare on display. Your welcome ladies... and some guys.

- Ax-Crazy: His respective likes and dislikes are "taking lives" and "Things that don’t scream while being killed".
- Creepy Crows: He can summon these to aid him in battle.
- Long-Haired Pretty Boy: As can be seen here.
- Serial Killer: Well, in case the above "Ax Crazy" bullet point wasn't clear enough, yeah he's an unrepentant murderer.
Duke Andre
Voiced by: Ivan Milosevic
- Blue Blood: His rank of nobility is that of Duke.
- Knight in Shining Armor: A rather literal example. Notably, among his dislikes are unpolished armor.
- Knightly Sword and Shield: His set of weapons. Amusing bonus to note that he is a literal knight.
- The Knights Templar: Slashers states that he belongs to this order.
- Magic Knight: He has some magic at his disposal, more specifically White Magic.
- Religious Bruiser: He is an ardent Christian and also carries a rose in response to one opponent who mocked him for his faith.
- Something about a Rose: And speaking of his roses, not just does take these with him in battle, but he even uses them as projectiles.
Nagasapa

- Cool Old Lady: Can see here for yourself.
- Nature Hero: She is a shaman who proclaims "to serve the good of every creature, acting as mother nature’s caretaker" according to character profile for Slashers.
- Necromancer: A more benevolent example than usual.
- Teleport Spam: She has a move that works very similar to that of Scorpion's Teleport Punch.
Rungard
Voiced by: Daniel Sanchez
- Card-Carrying Villain: His likes include "His dreams of Hell built on the world" and dislikes are "Love and harmony".
- Evil Sorcerer: He has knowledge of magic and as the above bullet point, Card Carrying Villain, demonstrates that he is not a benevolent practitioner of magic.

- Magic Staff: Uses his magical staff in battle as his weapon.
- This Means Warpaint: He has blue face paint over the left half of his face in a manner similar to William Wallace in Braveheart.
Jaman

- Beast Man: He has a beastly face and a tail which reveals him as belonging to a race of beings known as "Bloodkin".
- Fantastic Racism: He, along with the rest of the Bloodkin, are on the receiving end of this from Humans and have even been driven away from the surface of the earth because of this.
- Rolling Attack: He has an attack that is very similar to another certain feral redhead.
- Spin Attack: In the form of a spinning lariat similar to that of Tung Fu Rue.

Alperen
Voiced by: Steven W. Hunt
- Badass Cape: As can be seen in this image here◊.
- Be Careful What You Wish For: Upon being defeated in the arcade mode, he will tell this to the victor: "You've fought well brave warrior... You earned the respect of the blades. Now you're their master but be aware! Don't live too long! When it's your time to die. Don't delay it..."
- Cool Crown: While he is not royalty of any kind, but he nonetheless does wear an impressive circlet.
- Death Seeker: According to his character bio, "he is an immortal warrior who seeks the peace of death."
- Immortality Inducer: The eponymous Dual Blades are what have given him invulnerability.
- Manly Facial Hair: This semi-immortal badass is sporting beard and has plenty of prowess and martial skill to attest to his manly credentials.
- Morph Weapon: He wields energy that he can form into whatever weapon he wants in battle including a sword, shield, spear, and lassoing tendril.
- Really 700 Years Old: Slashers establishes his age in the game's present as being 2168.
- Spirited Competitor: Just because he has attracted fighters from across the world with the intention of seeking a powerful fighter to end his now miserable prolonged existence doesn't mean he isn't to let an opponent win easily.
- Who Wants to Live Forever?: Well, he certainly doesn't want to anymore, hence why he has organized with tournament in the first place hoping that someone will be able to defeat him and end his misery.
- You Will Not Evade Me: He can grab a character from a distance via an energy tendril to prevent them from getting too far from him.
Mirei Ozawa

A new character that was introduced for the sequel Slashers: The Power Battle. She is the twin sister of Kanae and one of the last two surviving members of the Ozawa family.
- Ascended Extra: She went from being only mentioned in Kanae's character profile in Dual Blades into a full-fledged character in Slashers.
- For Great Justice: Has been raised to believe that the Ninja clan who abducted her believes in this. However, its a bit ambiguous as to whether that is true.
- Ninja: Not just only that but trained by the very clan of ninjas who murdered her family.
- Pink Means Feminine: She is clad in pink attire which also makes her a case of Highly-Visible Ninja.
- Retcon: Her mention in Kanae's bio in Dual Blades gave the impression that she lived with her sister. Slashers has now not just given her more characterization, but also establish her as having been abducted and raised by the very ninjas who killed her father.
- Sibling Rivalry: Mirei and Kanae have fought each other before, though they don't hold any personal animosity towards each other even as Kanae still seeks to destroy that ninja clan sparing only Mirei.
- Stock Ninja Weaponry: She is armed with shuriken, a dagger, and an oversized Kunai that can be seen here◊.
