- Fighting Spirit: Episode 10 reveals that he acts as this to Black, with Episode 11 further elaborating that he can only be summoned for three minutes before Black's ki is completely drained.
- Humans Are Bastards: Zamasu, like his canon counterpart, has this opinion of mortals. That changes when he encounters UKAL10!Gohan.
- Spirit Advisor: He becomes this to Black after they fuse. Though after the El Calvo's rebellion and his and Black's time at the DAU, he's gone dormant, though he does reawaken in Episode 10.
- Walking Spoiler: It's hard to talk about him without talking about him fusing with UKAL10!Gohan to save him from being erased, creating Gohan Black.

- Incompatible Orientation: He goes after Saitama, who is very clearly straight.Saitama: Goku, I came here to tell you one thing...Goku: What's that, my dear?Saitama: I'M NOT INTO DUDES!!!Goku: Really? But you live with that blond cyborg.Saitama: You try renting an apartment in Tokyo and making ¥50,000 a month.
- Obfuscating Stupidity: He pretended to be stupid so that Chi-Chi would have multiple affairs and that Emo would become clinically depressed. This was all done so that he's all freed up for Saitama.

A Super Saiyan 4 Goku from Universe 2GS.- Advertised Extra: He appears in the Season 1 intro alongside the main cast, giving the impression that he's one of the main characters of the season, he ultimately only ends up appearing in episodes 3 and 4 with only 6 minutes of screen-time, that's less than a third of the season's episode count and barely over a tenth of the season's runtime.
- Like a Son to Me: He considers Emo his son as much as Emo considers him his dad.
- MacGuffin Guardian: He's hired by Grand Priest to guard the El Blanco tequila. Though eventually, he gets fired for giving the tequila to Emo.
- Parental Substitute: Slick Goku seems to be this for Emo. Emo even asks if he can call Slick "Dad" in episode 3.
- Put on a Bus: He doesn't join the main characters on their trip to the Cell Lands in Season 2 due to him trying to get a refund on his restraining order against Android 21. However...
- Bus Crash: He gets killed off-screen
due to the death of his voice actor.

- Willfully Weak: After his and Emo's fight with 21, it's revealed by Absalon that Slick could've easily beaten her with "Ultra Slickstinct". He admits that he only held back because he wanted to spend time with Emo.
- Wrong Genre Savvy:
- When Emo tries to acquire the El Blanco tequila, Slick assumes it's for reasons he's heard from "every Shonen bullshit speech known to man" (Getting stronger, protecting friends and family, etc.). Cue Slick being surprised by Emo saying he needs it to keep pimping his mother out.
- He assumes that he and Emo will face no reprisal from the Saint Gohan Beasts after killing 21, due to villains not caring about each other. Not only does Gohanic go after Emo for revenge, but Baby becomes The Starscream to El Hermano after he makes light of her death.

- Painful Transformation: According to Great Saibaman, he experienced so much pain when he obtained the Oni King form, he wished his god had killed him right then and there.
- Power at a Price: While the Oni King form did make him strong enough to free his people, as stated below, it also drove him insane. This led to him slaughtering his own village out of fear.
- With Great Power Comes Great Insanity: After obtaining the Oni King form, he was able to kill the Saiyans that enslaved his village and save his people... only to then go insane and kill them later.
- Walking Spoiler: It's hard to talk about him since his backstory introduces a new form that Piccolo would later obtain.
