Dragon Valors
The lineage of dragonslayers, who hunt the creatures with their Ancestral Weapon in hand.
Clovis
Protagonist of the prologue and the subsequent "Avenger" chapter. He tragically has to take job of Dragon Valor when his hometown is burned down, along with his sister.- Bus Crash: He died young some time ago before Prince Ralen's chapter.
- Disappeared Dad: In Kodel's chapter, who is searching for him.
- Revenge: Clovis's motivation is to avenge his sister and hometown.
- Spiky Hair: He has white spiky hair.
- Standard Hero Reward: If he rescues Princess Celia before slaying the 'Dragon' Titan, he ends up marrying her after brief stint as her bodyguard and becomes the King of Raxis.
- Villain Corner: He is turning evil in Kodel's chapter, due to the hatred in him. However, he has taken precautions.
Kodel
Son of Clovis and Carolina, and the protagonist of "Berserker" chapter. He has set out the find his father, who has disappeared.- Bus Crash: He has died from a disease before Gerome's chapter.
- I'm Not Doing That Again: After slaying two fire elemental dragons Inferno and Hellfire in a hard fought 2 vs 1 battle, Kodel exclaims that he would never fight a dragon again. He also wonders how could his father slay dragons regularly (which is extremely hard even with magic sword) for a living in his youth.
- In-Series Nickname: He is known as "Seagull" Kodel.
- Karmic Thief: He's a thief who steals from pirates.
Prince Ralen
Son of Clovis and Princess (now a Queen) Celia, and the protagonist of "The Renegade Knights" chapter. He has set out to rescue his mother who has been kidnapped by the vengeful Lodonya.- Warrior Prince: Fights his way through an enemy nation to rescue his mother, then to stop a dragon.
Gerome
Kodel's adoptive son if he loses Fannah's favour by forgetting to rescue her captured soul, and the protagonist of "Followers of the Dragon" chapter. He is a thief, and starts searching for Dahaka cult when he hears about heir treasure.- Action Dad: After passing the magic sword Azos to his daughter who became an exorcist, he decided to wield a generic sword to go searching for his daughter who went missing during her task.
- He is the only male character in the game who returned to be playable after being married and having a child.
- Always Save the Girl: Unlike Clovis and Kodel, Gerome's storyline requires him to save the captured girl in the dungeon (Sarah).
- Happily Adopted: He was saved by Kodel from a group of criminals and taken under his wing. Eventually, Gerome became Kodel's adopted son.
- Karmic Thief: Much like his adoptive father, he steals from thieves.
- Took a Level in Kindness: In his youth, he was a self-absorbed thief with streaks of violences, feared even by fellow thieves. After he married Sarah and had a child, he turned into a Family Man who showed genuine care for people other than himself and his late adoptive father Kodel.
Phillip
Kodel's son if he ends up with Fannah, and the protagonist of "The Evil Dragon" chapter. He is born to the Age of Exploration, and becomes a sailor because of it.- Busman's Vocabulary
- Spiky Hair: Like his grandfather Clovis, he has white spky hair.
- Standard Hero Reward: He promises to slay the dragon that terrorizes Jirat, if he gets Princess Jeanne to himself. However, the dragon is gone when he arrives, but slaying all the demons that came in its wake nets him her hand.
Prince Felippe
Son of Prince Ralen and Shalya, and the protagonist of "The Demonic Minister".- King Incognito: He is in Jirat as a swordsman to check out his his arranged fiancee Princess Jeanne.
Anita
Daughter of Gerome and Sarah, and the protagonist of fourth and fifth chapters. When not hunting dragons, she slays demons.- Action Girl: : The only playable female character who is not from royalty descent, and she can defend herself from many adversaries just fine.
- Daddy's Girl: Her love for her father is what saves her from turning into a dragon.
- Girlish Pigtails: Her hair style is modeled like this, possibly to support her goth looks.
- Jerkass: She mocks Vilherm's sword skill and threatens to kill him if he insists on meddling in her quest of collecting the two remaining magic swords.
- Jerkass Has a Point: Vilherm challenges her to a sword fight for the ownership of Azos and lose, therefore he has no right to protest. Vilherm also fails to prove or convince her that he won't misuse Azos himself when he tells her the story about Raxis' downfall.
- Goth Girls Know Magic: She dresses like a goth girl (bar the black color) and is capable of various magic skills, even when she is not wielding Azos.
- Magic Knight: She inherits her father's swordmanship and her mother's gift of sorcery.
- Pride: She is a proud exorcist and refuses to let her father taking over her quest of revenge against Halfas, telling Gerome that she "has her ego to consider".
- Your Days Are Numbered: Halfas of the Dragon Halflings places a curse on her which kill her within a month unless she manages to defeat him in a duel.
Prince Mihael
Son of Princess Jeanne and either Felippe or Phillip, and the twin brother of Anna. He's the protagonist of chapter four or five, depending on his father.- Took a Level in Badass: If he's the son of Prince Felippe, he starts out as a youth who's constantly scared for his life. But his duty as a Dragon Valor turns him into the savior of the world.
- Warrior Prince: If he's the son of Phillip, he's a standard badass fighting his way through monster like all the other characters.
Princess Anna
Daughter of Princess Jeanne and either Felippe or Phillip, and the twin sister of Mihael. She's the protagonist of chapter four or five, depending on her father.- Princesses Prefer Pink: Pink is her primary color.
Love Interests
To keep the lineage going, there's need for love, and its happy result.
Carolina
- Gadgeteer Genius: She claims to be a "fledgling inventor", although the game has nothing to back this up due to her limited appearances.
- Girlish Pigtails: Her hair style is this, possibly to make her look youthful and cheerful.
Princess Celia
- Damsel in Distress:
- In the first chapter, she's a prisoner of the Azale Knights who is waiting to be rescued.
- She is kidnapped by Lodonya early in Prince Ralen's chapter, which is then spent finding her.
- The Ghost: In Anita's chapter (Azos route), it was revealed that Princess Celia has been dead for 50 years, possibly due to the Fall of Raxis.
- What The Hell, Princess?: According to Vilherm in Azos route, Princess Celia's attempt at making counterfeit Azos and unifying it with the two other magic swords (Soul and Kadum) opened a portal which was used by demons to raid Raxis castle, unwittingly destroying her own kingdom and hometown.
Fannah
Kodel's love intrest in the "Berserker" Chapter.- Pirate Girl: Unbeknowst to Kodel, she's actually the daughter of Pirate Robert.
- Tomboyish Ponytail
Shalya
The leader The West Raxis Liberation Army in Prince Ralen's chapter, who helps him to save his mother Queen Celia.- Curtains Match the Window: She has blue hair and eyes.
- Rebel Leader: She's the leader of the people fighting against Alkemia, the unrecognized nation that claims western Raxis as its home.
Sarah
- Black Magician Girl: The only love interest character in the game who practices dark magic and has knowledge about mystical treasures.
- Dark Is Not Evil: Sarah comes from a mysterious hidden Village of Magician and practices dark magic, but she is far from evil.
- Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: Despite her status as a love interest and not a main protagonist, she managed to hurt Halfas with her magic and make the latter fly away in panic.
- Last of Her Kind: Everyone else from the Village of Magician were massacred by Dahaka Cultists, and she was captured to be used as a sacrifice to Dragon 'Hades'. Luckily, Gerome saved her.
Princess Jeanne
- Fashionable Asymmetry
- Faux Action Girl: In "The Demonic Minister" chapter, where she spends most of the time being kidnapped. To hammer the point home, she even boasts that she's the second best sword user of Jirat.

Shopkeepers
- Identical Grandson: They all look alike.
- No Hero Discount: One shopkeeper in West Raxis recognizes Prince Arlen, who is on his way to rescue his mother, but still charges him for his items.
Pirate Robert
A retired Dragon Valor, who now works in piracy. He is also the father of Fannah and a friend to Clovis.- Throw Down the Bomblet: He tosses bombs around during his bossfight.
Vilherm
A Jirat Knight who's duty is to watch over Princess Jeanne, and in time her offspring in Kadum route and Soul route. Ended up as an enemy in Azos route.- Artificial Stupidity: As a boss character in Azos route, Vilherm often harms himself by being too close to land mines.
- Perilous Old Fool: In Azos route, Vilherm demands Anita to hand over Azos sword to him. After Anita refused, Vilherm proceeds to challenge her for the ownership of Azos sword. Since Vilherm has becoming old and way past his prime, Anita beat him soundly in a sword fight.
- Sacrificial Lion: He ends up killed by Halfas to motivate either Mihael or Anna to kill him.
Antagonists
Dragon 'Rage'/'Titan'
The dragon that destroyed Clovis's hometown in the prologue . After defeated by him, it manages to escape and "Avenger" chapter is spent looking for it as it tries to recover its strength.- Breath Weapon: As 'Rage', it breathes fire.
- Multiarmed And Dangerous: As 'Titan' it has six pairs of limbs, four of which it uses to attack Clovis in a series of swipes.
Raimun
- Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot: He's a samurai alchemist.
- Throw Down the Bomblet: He tosses fire and poison bombs around during his bossfight.
Black Knight Volef
- Artificial Limbs: For unknown reasons, he has a tentacle in the place of his right hand. In the next encounter, it's a clawed golden hand.
- Power Makeover: When Clovis fights him for the second time, he is now "revived" and wears a new set of equipment.
- You Have Failed Me: 'Titan' grills him for failing it twice to stop Clovis at the end of the "Avenger" chapter.
Lodonya
- Avenging the Villain: Seeks revenge for his father Volef's demise.
- Flowery Elizabethan English: His dialogue is very old-timey with words like "thee" and "thou".
- Royal Rapier: His weapon of choice.
- Villainous Widow's Peak: Present in his character portrait, but not in his in-game model.
Zomas
- Evil Chancellor
- Slasher Smile: Both of Zomas's in-game portraits feature a sinister smile.
- With Great Power Comes Great Insanity: Goes insane after Krassler grants him demonic powers.
Grusamseus
Sorcerer who wishes to become a Dragon Halfling.- Bald of Evil
- Evil Laugh: Lets out one whenever he teleports.
- Good Scars, Evil Scars: Has a scar over his left eye.

Halfas
- Break the Haughty: Depite his repeated eager challenges toward Gerome to in Azos route, he immediately fled in panic when seeing Sarah using the Wisdom Stones on him.
- Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: Despite being the driving force of chapter four, he just disappears after its over.
- Death Seeker: He has grown tired of his existence, and seeks an end in battle with a Dragon Valor.

Azi Dahaka
The ancient dragon who fought against the gods, he is the root of all evil in the world.- As Long as There Is Evil: As long as there is evil in the hearts of men, he and other dragons will exist.
- Big Bad: He is the final opponent of the game.
