Ty's Gang
Ty Rux
Voiced by: Andrew Francis, Ricardo Bautista (Latin American Spanish dub)
The hero of the show, a Tyrannosaurus Trux; part Tyrannosaurus rex, part excavator. When his home crater is destroyed in a volcano eruption, he moves to a new crater where he makes an unlikely friend and realizes the power of working together.
- All-Loving Hero: To the point where the idea of failing anyone who needs his help is one of the few things that will really make him uncharacteristically upset.
- Back-to-Back Badasses: With D-Structs when they had to team up against the Dreadtrux. They work surprisingly well together.
- Beware My Stinger Tail: Beware his wrecking-ball tail.
- Beware the Nice Ones: As far as anger goes, Ty rarely goes beyond "mild annoyance" and the worst he does typically is slightly raising his voice and frowning a bit. But when he does go beyond that, he'll start roaring, become more aggressive and he'll be visibly showing a lot of self-restraint not to pound the source of his anger into the ground with his wrecking ball tail. He may be the kindest T-Trux around, but he is still a T-Trux after all.
- The Big Guy: While Skya is taller than him, he's the toughest, strongest member of the group. It makes sense, considering that he is modeled after demolition vehicles.
- Chronic Hero Syndrome: If he hears someone might be in trouble, he will be there for them. Even if there isn't actually anyone in trouble and he's being lured into a trap by D-Structs.Ty: I like to think of it as being reliable.
- Does Not Know His Own Strength: When playing Patunk (kind of like golf). In his opening shot, he hits the ball so hard that it crashes into a stone pillar, completely destroying both.
- His very first attempt at doing a tail-bump with Revvit sent the poor little Reptool flying. Thankfully, he quickly got better at minding his own strength when interacting with his smaller friends.
- Doomed Hometown: His crater is destroyed by a volcanic eruption.
- The Dreaded: The very sight of him causes the other Dinotrux to flee by the reputation of him being a T-Trux. This gets a little softened as Ty's actual reputation spreads though.
- Establishing Character Moment: He makes his first appearance emerging from his cave and making a Mighty Roar that scares all the trux nearby away... only for it to turn out he's actually just making a big goofy yawn and the guy's still half asleep, the rest of his morning routine showing he's far from the big scary monster that the others take him for.
- Famed In-Story: By the later half of Season 1, Trux in the crater know of the T-Trux that builds. By Season 3, Trux from even outside the crater have heard of the good T-Trux that helps people but don't all believe it's true. By Season 4, outsiders know Ty by name.
- Gentle Giant: Even though T-Truxes are one of the most feared species of Dinotrux, he is the nicest guy there is.
- Irony: With their excavator mouth, wrecking ball tail and (usually) violent temper, T-Trux are clearly demolition-oriented. Ty, however, uses his abilities to build, with great success.
- A Lizard Named "Liz": Tyrannosaurus Trux.
- Made of Iron: T-Truxes are built to last, so with the exception of being quicker to overheat, Ty is often the last to break down of the group, leaving him to protect everyone else. Ton-Ton puts it the straightest:Ton-Ton: T-Truxes. Built to last.
- Whenever he does overheat, Ty can become...loopy.
- Nice Guy: He's a friendly T-Trux, so those who are scared of him at first for being a T-Trux are surprised by his friendly attitude.
- The Nose Knows: He is really good at finding ore, which he can apparently detect by smell.
- Now That's Using Your Teeth!: He's got a large mouth and relatively short arms, so his excavator mouth is usually the first choice for picking up things.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Ty isn't one to get angry easily, but when he does, everyone takes notice.
- The Protagonist: He's the main character of the series.
- Red Is Heroic: Ty's color is red and he is the protagonist.
- Running Gag: Situations come up where Ty often needs to be repainted or modified to resolve, which he tends to make a big deal of by giving himself a new name. He becomes Shadow Ty so many times that Skya even makes fun of him for using the name every time.
- Square Race, Round Class: His "Shadow Ty" persona (see the entry above), which is basically Ty with a dark gray/black paint job; he uses it to sneak around by blending into the shadows. Thing is, Ty is basically a T. rex sized demolition vehicle that must weight around a dozen tons, moves around on massive threads, has front lights for eyes, and is powered by a truck engine, making his dark paintjob basically the only remotely stealthy thing about him... And yet, it works.
- Token Heroic Orc: T-Trux are known for being aggressive, territorial loners. Ty being friendly and willing to share with others makes him stand out among his kind and his sweet, helpful personality always catches other Trux off-guard.
- True Companions: His bond with Revvit often awes others around them.
- You Can't Go Home Again: After the volcano destroys his crater, Ty is unable to return home.
Revvit
Voiced by: Richard Ian Cox, Arturo Castañeda (Latin American Spanish dub)
A Rotillian Reptool that is part lizard, part drill. Tired of living a life of fear confined in the Reptool Ravine, he adventures out into the open world where he makes an unlikely friendship with Ty.
- Beware My Stinger Tail: His tail contains an air jet, and can be a mounting point for bits, so he can either use his drill bit from his tail or just straight-up fire bits out of his tail.
- Finishing Each Other's Sentences: He and Ty are such close friends that they can often think the same things, and finish what the other was going to say or suggest.
- The Engineer: While all Reptools are mechanically inclined, Revvit is the one that comes up with blueprints for the others to work off of.
- Interspecies Friendship: Just like Ace, Waldo, and Click-Clack, Revvit is good friends with one of the main Trux; namely, Ty.
- The Smart Guy: Although he does his best work when brainstorming together with Ty, he is still the most analytical of the group.
- Spock Speak: His manner of speech is quite technical and generally avoids using contractions, only slipping into using them in times of panic.
- Tastes Like Friendship: He bravely tries to steal a piece of ore when Ty isn't looking. When Ty notices Rev is having trouble moving it, he breaks it into smaller pieces for him and tells him to help himself. Rev repairs Ty's broken tread in gratitude, and their friendship builds from there.
- True Companions: He and Ty are so close that other characters are often awestruck by it.
Ton-Ton
Voiced by: Matt Hill, Gerardo Alonso (Latin American Spanish dub)
An Ankylodump; part Ankylosaurus and part dump truck. A real thrill seeker, he loves to drive at high speeds and jump ramps.
- Blue Is Heroic: As with his fellow Anklyodumps, Ton-Ton's color is blue.
- Drives Like Crazy: Which can be a problem as he has the largest carrying capacity, but with a poor ability to keep what he's transporting from falling out of his bed during his stunts.
- Genius Ditz: He's not the smartest of Ty's friends, but he's got his clever moments.
- Ramp Jump: Extremely fond of these.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Inverted; Ton-Ton the blue Ankylodump is actually the energetic, thrill-seeking Red Oni to Ty the laid-back, level-headed red T-Trux's blue oni.
- Running Gag: Has a tendency to suggest the group build a giant straw for various reasons. By the end of the show, he actually does manage to find a scenario where a giant straw can and does actually save the day.
- Strange Minds Think Alike: With Skrap-It of all people. When they're stuck together in an episode of season 4, they are shown to get along fairly well and demonstrate a very similar way of thinking, up to being able to come up with a plan that is just Crazy Enough to Work.
- Thrill Seeker: Always looking for new stunts to pull.
- Totally Radical: Talks like a stereotypical 90's teen.
Skya
Voiced by: Ashleigh Ball, Analíz Sánchez (Latin American Spanish dub)
A Craneosaur; part Brachiosaurus and part crane.
- The Big Guy: The others actually forget to make the garage's entrance big enough for her at first.
- Friendly Rivalry: With Dozer.
- Ironic Fear: Despite her extreme tallness, she has a fear of heights. As she explains, her extra height just means that she has further to fall.
- Multipurpose Tongue: Since her crane hook is also her tongue, this is par for the course.
Dozer
Voiced by: Brian Drummond, Óscar Flores (Latin American Spanish dub, eps. 1-26), Alfredo Gabriel Basurto (Latin American Spanish dub, eps. 26+)
A Dozeratops; part Triceratops, part bulldozer. Initially resistant to the idea of joining up with Ty, he reconsiders after the gang work together to build a bridge to save his life when he falls into a tar pit.
- Berserk Button: Destroy his mound and you're parts
- Beware My Stinger Tail: His tail has a jackhammer on it.
- Bruiser with a Soft Center: After they imprint on him, Dozer develops a fatherly bond with the Tortools.
- Fire-Forged Friends: Initially resistant and skeptical of Ty's request to be friends, he gets into a fight where Ty accidentally throws him into a tar pit, prompting everyone to build a bridge to rescue him, making him realize that Ty is being sincere and that he actually has a point.
- Friendly Rivalry: With Skya.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He may be gruff and Brutally Honest, but he's willing to help his teammates in their missions.
- The Lancer: Always quick to resort to fighting in contrast to Ty's gentle nature.
- A Lizard Named "Liz": Dozeratops.
- Papa Wolf: He's very protective of the Tortools.
Garby
Voiced by: Trevor Devall, Raúl Anaya (Latin American Spanish dub)
A Stegarbasaurus; part Stegosaurus and part garbage truck. As a species that eats rocks, Ty recruits him to the team for his expertise on different kinds of rocks and he stays around as a producer of sturdy bricks useful for all kinds of construction.
- Big Eater: He eats so much he has multiple stomachs to accommodate and has on a few times accidentally eaten a Reptool whole.
- Extreme Omnivore: Downplayed. He somewhat fits both types, but he will not eat ore. He also managed to eat D-Structs' wrecking ball without any issues.
- Gasshole: He turns the rocks he eats into gas and bricks.
- Getting Eaten Is Harmless: Although there is a Conveyor Belt of Doom and a lot of gas involved, a Reptool can survive being eaten by him and being turned into a brick.
- Improvised Weapon: When his back plates don't work, he can also fire his bricks with enough force to weaponize them.
- A Lizard Named "Liz": Stegarbasaurus.
- The Nicknamer: Comes up with all kinds of nicknames for the others.
- The Sixth Ranger: Joins the group later than the others, and is only a semi-recurring character while still having his own custom bay in the Garage.
- Spike Shooter: His back plates can be fired.
- Toilet Humor: He poops very solid bricks that are used in building. They are extremely useful in this regard, so the initial disgust is gotten over quickly.
- Took a Level in Badass: In a later episode, Garby is in charge of the garage while Ty and the other DinoTrux are away. When D-Structs and his gang threaten them, Garby ends up training some other DinoTrux (an Ankylodump, a Drillosaur...and George) to fight back and becomes their leader of sorts.
Click-Clack
Voiced by: Fred Ewanuick, Irwin Daayán (Latin American Spanish dub)
Another Rotillian Reptool like Revvit that is part lizard, part drill. Although extremely cowardly, he does admit that working on Dinotrux is enjoyable and agrees to move in with them.
- Character Tic: He retracts his head into his metal collar whenever he's frightened. All Rotillian Reptools do that, but Click-Clack does it so often that it's especially noticeable with him.
- Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: He has moments that surprise even him when he has no choice but to do something; in general, while Click-Clack is quick to be terrified whenever he's directly threatened (or if he thinks that something, somewhere, is threatening him) if one of his friends is in direct danger, he'll display some impressive skill and bravery to try and help them. He even once fearlessly attacked Pounder because the latter was harming Skya.
- Drunk with Power: When a series of unlikely events leads to Click-Clack becoming the alpha to a pack of Desert Scraptors, he clearly lets the power go to his head.
- Improbable Aiming Skills: He's really good at reliably hitting targets when firing his bits.
- Interspecies Friendship: Just like Revvit, Ace, and Waldo, Click-Clack is good friends with one of the main Trux; see Odd Friendship below.
- Lovable Coward: All the reptools are timid due to their small size, but Click-Clack is even more so.
- Odd Friendship: With Skya, who is as brave and bold as Click-Clack is cowardly and shy.
- Trail of Bread Crumbs: When he is kidnapped by D-Structs, he leaves a trail of his bits that allows the group to find him. As he tends to drop bits when he's frightened in general, it's hard to say if this was on purpose.
Ace
Voiced by: Cree Summer, Erica Edwards (Latin American Spanish dub)
A Reptool that is part lizard, part wrench.
- Action Girl: It's not her first time hanging out with Dinotrux. In one episode, she even manages to defeat a scraptor in a one-on-one fight!
- Interspecies Friendship: Just like Revvit, Waldo, and Click-Clack, Ace is good friends with one of the main Trux; see Thrill Seeker below.
- Punny Name: In the French dub, her name is Cléa. "Clé à molette" is French for "wrench" (and another female Reptool that looks just like her is even named "Molette" for good measure).
- The Smurfette Principle: The only female out of the 3 main Reptools.
- Thrill Seeker: She's the most adventurous of the Reptools and, because of that, she gets along great with Ton-Ton.
- Wrench Wench: Literally!
Waldo
Voiced by: Doron Bell, Eduardo Ramírez Pablo (Latin American Spanish dub)
A Reptool that is part lizard, part pipe wrench.
- Aerith and Bob: Has a relatively normal name when compared to most characters
- Interspecies Friendship: Just like Revvit, Ace, and Click-Clack, Waldo is good friends with one of the main Trux.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Even if he had no reasonable way of knowing, if something goes bad because of an idea he suggested, he takes it very personally and becomes determined to make it right.
- Neat Freak: Gets pretty bent out of shape if his sorting system is disrupted or ruined.Revvit: Waldo's idea of fun is cataloging bits based on weight.
Waldo: You don't catalog bits based on weight, you catalog based on size! Any tool knows that.
Revvit: See how much fun?
Xee
A solitary Reptool that is part lizard, part crescent wrench. She joins the group in Supercharged
- Action Girl: Has been living on her own in the open for quite some time, and is well adapted to survive as a result.
- Ship Tease: While the series isn't very interested in romantic relationships, she is introduced as an extremely compatible match for Revvit.
- Sixth Ranger: Decides to stick with the group after running into them in the first season of Supercharged and sticks around them until the end of the series.
Villains
D-Structs
Voiced by: Paul Dobson, Dafnís Fernández (Latin American Spanish dub)
A rival Tyrannosaurus Trux who rules over the crater. He does not appreciate the newcomer moving in on his turf, and will do anything to get rid of Ty and break up his circle of friends.
- Art Evolution: Even disregarding the obvious changes to his tail, D-Structs' overall design changes slightly between seasons 1 and 2.
- Back-to-Back Badasses: With Ty when they had to team up against the Dreadtrux. They work surprisingly well together.
- Bad Boss: He constantly insults and threatens Skrap-It, especially when he inevitably screws up. Even when Skrap-It does something right, D-Structs usually finds something to nit-pick about, and never shows any appreciation for his efforts.
- Big Bad: He's always coming up with some scheme to defeat the Dinotrux and get rid of Ty.
- Discard and Draw: His wrecking ball tail is replaced, first with a buzzsaw tail, and then with a crane claw tail.
- Enemy Mine: The Dreadtrux becomes such a serious threat that D-Structs decides to work together with Ty, for now, to drive it away. But once the threat is gone, D-Structs refuses to be friends with Ty, still focused on taking the crater from him.
- Evil Counterpart: To Ty.
- Evil Is Bigger: Is slightly larger and stronger than Ty.
- Evil Sounds Deep: Paul Dobson strikes again.
- Friendship Denial: He does not "make friends", and resents it when Skrap-It starts to become closer to him.
- Good Scars, Evil Scars: Due to Skrap-It's poor workmanship, his claw tail looks extremely misshapen compared to his original tail in a way that makes it appear more menacing.
- How Do I Shot Web?: After his wrecking ball is lost, Skrap-It builds him a new buzz saw tail. While he gets the basics down fairly easily, he keeps forgetting about it when he loses his temper and expects to be able to smash things with it as easily as his wrecking ball, leading to him simply getting his tail stuck instead. Ultimately, Skrap-It builds him a new claw tail that can be used as a wrecking ball would.
- Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: He's such a Jerkass that any moment when he's not acting like a colossal dick to everyone around him is enough to qualify as a Pet the Dog moment on his part.
- Late-Arrival Spoiler: The only toys of D-Structs feature him with a buzz saw on his tail, something he doesn't acquire until the second season.
- Obviously Evil: Unlike other members within the same species, D-Structs has a completely different design from Ty, featuring a black color scheme and a spiked wrecking ball.
- Pet the Dog: At the very end of season 8, when D-Structs leaves the crater forever, he lets Scrap-It ride on him. And this is normally the guy who often beats up Scrap-It for failing him.
- Likewise, while he bullies and abuses Skrap-It several times an episode, he also has moments where he's less harsh than usual; for example, when Skrap-It got struck by lightning in the last episode of season 2, D-Structs asks him if he's alright and the tone of his voice has him sounding genuinely worried.
- The Starscream: With his brother D-Stroy, who he abandoned at his earliest convenience. When they start working together again, D-Structs is quick to blame D-Stroy for anything that goes wrong, and the two often fight amongst themselves until finally D-Structs betrays D-Stroy under the fear that D-Stroy would betray him first.
- Supervillain Lair: Builds himself a particularly ominous lair inside a volcano decorated with lots of scrap metal spikes.
- Tyrant Takes the Helm:
- When he and his gang overthrow Ty and the other DinoTrux in one episode of season 3, he has the crater like a prison and sends his henchmen out to guard it in case the DinoTrux come back.
- Starting at the end of season 7 and lasting through season 8, D-Structs and his brother force Ty and his friends into exile. When this happens, they start oppressing the other Trux in the valley, forcing them to give up any ore they have.
Skrap-It
Voiced by: Trevor Devall, Miguel Ángel Leal (Latin American Spanish dub)
A Scraptool that is part lizard, part leatherman tool-welding torch. Needing his own mechanic, D-Structs forces him into working for him, with the promise of salvaging Ty when he is defeated.
- Amusing Injuries: How else would a little Scraptool like him survive the physical abuse D-Structs inflicts on him Once an Episode if it wasn't for this trope?
- Bad Liar: Despite the fact that he constantly lies, he's still not very good at it, as his nervous twitch gives him away, as well as the fact that he often pauses in the middle of talking to come up with them on the spot.D-Structs: I'm so pleased with this that I'm willing to ignore your obvious lies.
Skrap-It: Thank you! I appreciate it. - Beneath Notice: Ace is able to sneak into D-Structs' lair and get information from him just by talking like Skrap-It; D-Structs cares so little about Skrap-It, he can't be bothered to look at him when they are talking.D-Structs: You sound different... what happened to your twitch?
Ace: Oh... *cchhhh* There it is. It uh... *cccchk* comes and goes. - Butt-Monkey: Suffers a large amount of physical abuse, usually from D-Structs. Even on the odd chance, D-Structs is willing to humor Skrap-It, something else will happen to Skrap-It instead to ruin the moment.
- Character Tics: Has a distinct twitch that punctuates his dialogue.
- Evil Counterpart: To Revvit. He's well aware of this fact and occasionally tries to emulate Revvit in ways such as trying to brainstorm with D-Structs the way Revvit does with Ty. It usually earns him a loud roar to the face.
- Graceful in Their Element: Skrap-It barely knows what he's doing when it comes to repairs, but when D-Structs' plans require Skrap-It to take something apart, he does it with efficiency; on multiple occasions he can even remove an important part from a trux without them even noticing.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: D-Structs has used the claw-like tail Skrap-It built for him to fight the heroes as much as he has used it to smash him with it.
- Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain: Make no mistake, he wants D-Structs to succeed in getting rid of Ty and his friends, but his motivation seems to stem more from a need for approval rather than actual malice. While he's by no means a Nice Guy, he suffers so much abuse (both physical and emotional) throughout the series that you can't help but feel sorry for him.
- Made of Iron: While every Scraptool (and any other creature in the setting, for that matter) is a literal example, Skrap-It fits the traditional definition of the trope: no matter how many times D-Structs punts him with his tail (and he clearly shows no restraint when doing so), Skrap-It never seems worse for wear. At one point, he even gets beat up by D-Structs, Blayde, Splitter, and Pounder at the same time and still manages to walk his way back home before fainting.
- The Medic: D-Structs forces Skrap-It into serving this role for him, even though as a Scraptool, Skrap-It is built to take stuff apart. How he even manages bolts without any apparent screwdriver is a mystery.D-Structs: Take it apart, but in reverse.
- Odd Name Out: He is the only "-It" Scraptool that spells it with one t instead of two, thus making him the only Scraptool without a double consonant in his name.
- The Starscream: Doesn't hesitate to try and scrap D-Structs when he falls in a pit.
- Strange Minds Think Alike: With Ton-Ton. When they're stuck together in an episode of season 4, they are shown to get along fairly well and demonstrate a very similar way of thinking, up to being able to come up with a plan that is just Crazy Enough to Work.
- Surrounded by Idiots: Doesn't have a very high opinion of his fellow Scraptools.
- Sycophantic Servant: To the point where he gets jealous when D-Structs hires additional Scraptools to work for him.
- You Can Always Tell a Liar: His twitch seems to be at least somewhat nervous, considering when he tells a particularly bad lie he starts twitching double time.
Splitter
Voiced by: Richard Ian Cox, Dan Osorio (Latin American Spanish dub)
A Sawmetradon that is part trencher, part Dimetrodon. He loves to cut down trees to look for ore and doesn't like anyone getting in his way
- Achilles' Heel: While certainly capable of mass destruction, his saws are easily jammed.
- Artistic License – Paleontology: Dimetrodons did not live in the Mesozoic era and are more closely related to Mammals than Dinosaurs.
- Evil Counterpart: Being the odd Trux out, he usually fights Ton-Ton in 4 vs 4 battles just to Pair the Spares. Lampshaded by Ton-Ton in “Bridge”.Ton-Ton: Why do I always get the dude with the saws?
Blayde
Voiced by: Kelly Sheridan, Romina Marroquín Payro (Latin American Spanish dub)
A Dozeratops that enjoys bullying others. Has a history with Dozer.
- The Bully: Even more so than D-Structs; while the former only picks fights in order to establish and secure dominance, Blayde will antagonize and intimidate others just for the hell of it and she greatly enjoys doing so.
- Dark Action Girl: She's one of, if not the strongest Dozeratops in the series.
- Beware My Stinger Tail: Unlike other Dozeratops, her tail is an excavator bucket.
- Evil Counterpart: To Dozer; while both have a bad temper, Blayde lacks the "gold" part of Dozer's Jerk with a Heart of Gold.
- Evil Former Friend: Was once a part of Dozer's herd until an attack by D-Structs convinced her to live her life by a "Take or be taken" philosophy.
- Obviously Evil: She has a much larger blade, as well as longer and sharper horns than regular Dozeratops. She also has a black and metallic gray color palette instead of the yellow/brown tones usually found among her species. Interestingly, a Flash Back from her debut episode shows that she already looked like that before she became a villain.
- No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Gets beaten by an angered George in the episode "Garby's Gang".
- Spikes of Villainy: Her horns come to a sharper point than a normal Dozeratops.
- Screw This, I'm Out of Here!: She eventually grows tired of D-Structs' bullshit, just like his other henchtrux.
Pounder
A Poundersaurolophus that is part Parasaurolophus, part piledriver.
- Establishing Character Moment: Before even appearing onscreen, it chases down and kills a terrified scraptor.
- Evil Counterpart: Due to her herd being chased off by one when she was young, Skya has a grudge against its species.
- Only Known by Their Nickname: Since it doesn't talk, "Pounder" is less a name and more something more convenient to say than "Poundersaurolophus".
- Pintsized Powerhouse: It's smaller than most Trux, but that doesn't stop its piledriver from packing a devastating punch. Even Ty can be launched by it if taken off guard.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: Has red pupils (Unlike other Trux)
- The Quiet One: It doesn't talk, which makes it seem even more menacing.
- Species Subversives: Hadrosaurs like Parasaurolophus are usually depicted as peaceful, social animals. The Poundersaurolophus, however, are total opposites of that.
Break-Itt, Smash-Itt and Lloyd
Voiced by: Brian Drummond (Break-Itt), Paul Dobson (Smash-Itt) and Trevor Devall (Lloyd); Mark Pokora (Break-Itt, Latin American Spanish dub), Emmanuel Bernal (Smash-Itt), Julio Bernal (Lloyd, Latin American Spanish dub)
Additional Scraptools that work for D-Structs, generally serving under Skrap-It.
- Aerith and Bob: With all the Scraptools named after destroying things, Lloyd stands out for having a normal name.
- Color-Coded for Your Convenience: While they do have some minor physical differences from each other, they are probably more easily distinguished by their colored highlights; Break-Itt has lime green, Smash-Itt has dark green and Lloyd has red.
- Evil Counterpart: Although they don't particularly map to anyone, they exist mostly so that the Scraptools can equal the Reptools in number.
- Good Colors, Evil Colors: Although they are Color-Coded for Your Convenience, their colored accents are rather small and extremely muted compared to any of the more heroic characters.
- The Guards Must Be Crazy: They are rather incompetent as guards and are notoriously easy to distract with scrap or by making them fight each other.
- Law of Chromatic Superiority: Of the three of them, Llyod is the red one and the one who seems most in charge of the other two, to the point where he occasionally fights with Skrap-It over who is the "Head Scraptool".
- My Nayme Is: As the credits make clear, even though Break-Itt and Smash-Itt follow the same naming convention as Skrap-It, the "It" in their names are spelled with two T's while Skrap-It is spelled with one T.
- Odd Name Out: Lloyd is the only Scraptool of the main trio whose name doesn't fall under the "<word for destroy>-It(t)" naming scheme.
- Surrounded by Idiots: Lloyd often feels this way about Break-Itt and Smash-Itt.
- You All Look Familiar: Any time a scene calls for a large number of Scraptools, it is these three that are copied, leaving Skrap-It unique.
Goldtrux
Voiced by: Michael Daingerfield
A gold-obsessed Stegarbasaur that kidnaps Reptools and Junktools to work in mining and refining gold to make into plating for himself.
- Affably Evil: To the point that Break-Itt appreciates that he thanks his minions for their work in a way D-Struts never would.
- Evil Former Friend: Used to be a friend of Garby's, until he went insane from becoming obsessed with gold.
- Loves Only Gold
- What Happened to the Mouse?: Never seen or mentioned again after his debut episode. It's quite possible he drowned in the melting gold in his lair...
D-Stroy
Voiced by: Brian Dobson
Another T-Trux, and the older brother of D-Structs. He's stronger, bigger, and smarter than D-Structs. His plans are more complicated, more unpredictable, and way better planned than those of D-Structs.
- Bad People Abuse Animals: His treatment of the Dreadtrux counts as this, as he doesn't give her food unless he says so, uses fear and intimidation to keep her under his control, and smacks her with his tail several times when he realizes it's harder to control her because he and D-Structs are out of purple ore, which is the only food on her diet.
- Beware My Stinger Tail: He's got a claw of drills on the end of his tail!
- Faux Affably Evil: While he has a fiercer attitude than his brother, he may seem to have a friendlier demeanor than him, but it turns out to be nothing more than him being venal and manipulative. He manages to pressure him into co-ruling the Crater alongside him, and eventually, remorselessly insults him by saying that he's "always been weak".
- Good Scars, Evil Scars: He is missing a horn and has a large gash on his face as a result of a rockslide that was partially D-Structs' fault.
- Sibling Team: Was one with D-Structs back in the day, and while D-Structs is hesitant to team up again, he eventually pressures him into it.
- Horns of Villainy: Sports a pair of horns on his head, which makes him look somewhat like a Carnotaurus.
- Mix-and-Match Critters: His horns make him look somewhat like a Carnotaurus, while his longer arms seem to look similar to Giganotosaurus arms.
- Uncertain Doom: It's unknown what happened to D-Stroy following the final battle, though it's possible that he was crushed to his death by the collapsing tunnel or even killed by the Dreadtrux for his mistreatment.
Other Characters
The Tortools
- Chekhov's Boomerang: Ty uses the "have the tortools paint him in camouflage so he can sneak past predators" plan in their eponymous debut episode and again in "Lair".
- Imprinting: Imprinted on Dozer, and still seem to see him as a father figure even after they find their real parents.
- Meaningful Name: Shelly, because tortools have shells, Buffy, because the tortools are equipped with buffers, and Jack because the tortools are equipped with vehicle jacks.
- Ridiculously Cute Critter: They even talk in chirps.
George
Voiced by: Brian Drummond, Manuel Pérez (Latin American Spanish dub)
An easy-going nomadic Dozeratops that has a knack for crossing paths with the other dinotrux.
- Aerith and Bob: With most Trux named after what they are or do, George stands out as having an ordinary name.
- Beware the Nice Ones: In Season 4 we finally get to see him get good and pissed off, and he gives Blayde a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown when she knocks Garby over. Then he sheepishly says he apparently has more anger issues than he thought.
- Berserk Button: When Garby is in charge of the garage, and he and several other DinoTrux build a wall to keep out D-Structs, which George likes. The sight of the wall crumbling down thanks to Blade makes the usually calm and friendly George angry, and seeing Blade attacking Garby sends him into a rampage as he fights her off.
- Contrived Coincidence: The Dinotrux always seem to find him on their travels just in time to save him from some peril. This is somewhat downplayed as he is fairly resilient and patient, and has usually been stuck in the situation he's found in for weeks before anyone showed up.
- Cosmic Plaything: He seems to wander aimlessly and just goes with whatever dangerous situations he gets into as a result.
- Not Actually the Ultimate Question: Has a tendency to wax philosophically in response to even the simplest of questions.Skya: You've been stuck here? For how long?George: The past and future are illusions, there is only now. Understand?Ty: Not really.George: About two weeks, give or take.
- The Pollyanna: He always seems to be in some peril, but he never lets it get to him. Captured by Scraptors that have already torn two of his feet off? At least he still has his other two feet! Seized up and rendered immobile in a desert oasis? At least it's a nice place to meditate!
- The Quiet One: Even when his peaceful state of mind wavers, George's voice doesn't raise too far from his usual calm tone.
- Took a Level in Badass: The normally peace-loving Dozeratops actually gets tougher thanks to Garby training him and the other Trux. So much so that he actually fights Blade for attacking Garby.
- He doesn't fight her so much as he beats the ever-loving scrap out of her without her even being able to strike back.
Dreadtrux
Part Dreadnoughtus and part Bucket-wheel excavator, It is a massive beast that is said to be an even bigger threats than any predators in the world combined.
- Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: It's a massive beast, even bigger than the Cranosaurs, which are the tallest of dinotrux. Even a huge T-Trux like Ty is as small to a Dreadtrux as a Reptool is to him.
- The Dreaded: Almost everything fears the Dreadtrux.
- Monster Is a Mommy: The Dreadtrux that rampages in Ty's crater turns out to be looking for her egg. Once Ty and his friends get the egg back, she leaves the crater in peace.
- Tunnel King: As a titanic excavator, it is only natural. It gets to show off this talent in the finale by helping the gang burrow a two-mile-long tunnel through solid rock to access the crater through a mountain range.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: Although it having an egg was an important part of its first appearance, said egg was mentioned again, but otherwise never seen in Supercharged. Oddly, there even is an episode about the gang finding an abandoned baby Dreadtrux but it is explicitly identified as not being related to this Dreadtrux.
Aquadon
A massive mosasaur-like creature that menaces the Dinotrux as they attempt to return across the sea to the Crater.
- Invincible Minor Minion: Zig-zagged. They don't follow orders from anyone. But they're arguably the toughest minor creatures Ty and the gang have fought. Each time the trux go underwater, the Aquadons overpower them through ramming and biting them while barely getting a scratch. To put it simply, they’re almost impossible to defeat. Justified because of their Homefield Advantage underwater.
- It Can Think: In "Crabcavator" when Ty fires one of his harpoons towards one of the Aquadons, it catches it with its mouth and drags Ty through the seabed.
- Sea Monster: A gigantic mosasaur-like creature.
- Threatening Shark: More "Threatening Mosasaur", but they have a shark-like appearance.
Scrapadactyl
A flying pterosaur-like creature that collects scrap metal to make nests. Comes in two types; normal and Stealth.
- Mooks: Serve as common non-D-Structs foes that Ty and the gang can fight whenever needed.
- Airborne Mook: See above.
- Giant Scrap Robot: A non-giant example. The Scraptors look like they're made from scrap.
- Made of Iron: Just like the Scraptors, they can survive being beaten up.
- Laser Sight: Stealth Scrapadactyls have this built into their eyes.
- Evil Counterpart: Could count as one to the Pteracopters.
- Too Dumb to Live: They are just as bad at learning that the Dinotrux could kill them as the Scraptors are.
Scraptor
A land-based dromaeosaur-like creature. Lives in groups, and collects scrap. Comes in a number of types depending on the environment, including Arctic and Desert.
- Always Chaotic Evil: Just like the Scrapadactyls, Scraptors only care about attacking anything they can get their sights on and collect scrap metal.
- Giant Scrap Robot: A non-giant example. They look like they're made from scrap.
- Made of Iron: They suffer really big beatings from the Dinotrux, but they somehow still survive it.
- Raptor Attack
- Super-Persistent Predator: What they lack in toughness, they make up for in how stubborn they are. Since they do not actually eat their prey, one has to wonder just how much they must love collecting scrap given the sound beatings they get whenever they try to take on Ty and his gang.
- Mooks: Like the Scrapadactyls, they are common foes that don't need to be tied to D-Structs and his gang.
- Too Dumb to Live: They could suffer a big beating from the Dinotrux and they don't learn that the Dinotrux could potentially kill them. They're just that stupid. The Scrapadactyls aren't any better than their ground counterparts, either.
- Zerg Rush: Their main tactic; a lone Scraptor is no real threat to a full-grown Trux, but a pack of them can be a serious problem.
Prop-Top, Flapjaw, Washout and Navs
Voiced by: Brenda Crichlow (Prop-Top), Fred Ewanuick (Flapjaw), and Vincent Tong (Washout and Navs)
A group of Pteracopters, part Quetzalcoatlus and part V-22 Osprey, that Ty and the gang befriend and help.
- Ace Pilot: All four are great at flying, though Washout is struck down by Stealth Scrapadactyls and the others end up crashing into the Crater.
- Action Girl: Prop-Top, the squad leader, is female.
- Chekhov's Boomerang: They end up saving Ty and his gang from the cold in "Picktools" after dropping them off in "Pteracopters".
- Giant Flyer: Not titanic in size, but large and strong enough to lift the Dinotrux and Reptools all the way from the north to the Crater.
- Motor Mouth: Flapjaw's a bit of a blabbermouth.Flapjaw: Ah, I don't have words to describe the trouble I'm in! A Dyscrapadon is hard enough to deal with on a normal day, but now I'm as helpless as a hornless Dozeratops in a Scraptor nest!!
Dozer: Seemed like plenty of words to me.
Snowblazer
A Plowasaur that lives North of the crater.
- Big "NO!": Her reaction when Ty and his friends tell her they're going to head back to the Crater.
- Cloud Cuckoo Lander: She's... Not all there in the head, to put it bluntly.
- Companion Cube: To cope with the loneliness, she carved a face into a rock and called it "Herb". She treats it like an actual living being.
- Fluffy Tamer: She tried taming a pair of aggressive Arctic Scraptors. Keyword being "tried".
- Go Mad from the Isolation: Despite her cheerful attitude, it's pretty obvious that living alone in a frozen wasteland has taken a mean toll on her sanity.
- Yandere: A downplayed example, but she definitely has some vibes.
Slamtools
Nomadic Hammer-like Tools that steal ore from other creatures.
- Gulliver Tie-Down: Their method of restraining Trux.
- The Quiet One: They communicate by banging their heads.
