Former FBI special Agent Francis Zach Morgan.

2005

    Melvin Woods

Melvin Woods

Voiced By: Ogie Banks

The sheriff of Le Carré and Patti's stepfather.

  • Cutscene Boss: The game somewhat treats the boathouse confrontation against Melvin as a boss fight (representing it through the grotesque Candy in the chapter clear screen, the same way Galena and Lena's monster forms are used for the previous chapters), but the only interactivity the player finds in this section is clearing some debris that happened to fall over York.
  • The Dragon: He's Lena's biggest ally in her plans.
  • Dragon Ascendant: After Lena's death, Melvin decides to carry on and finish her plan, becoming the main antagonist from that point on.
  • Go Out with a Smile: Melvin decides to die while stating a tagline of his own with a big grin on his face.
Melvin: The worst father graced with the sweetest daughter...life can be a bitch sometimes. But it wasn't all bad.
  • If It's You, It's Okay: Melvin admits that he found Lena attractive even back when she was known as Lenny, citing her masculine attributes while doing so. After Lenny transitioned into Lena, he actually became even more enamored.
  • Walking Spoiler: You can figure out a lot about Melvin just by seeing the tropes in this entry.

    Patricia Woods

Patricia Woods

A little girl who forces York to sign a contract with her.

  • Declaration of Protection:
    • On the receiving end of one from York, something he repeatedly reminds her of. 14 years later, Zach is still committed to this promise.
    • In the climax, when Zach is finally succumbing to his cancer, she returns the favor, dedicating herself to protecting Zach.
  • Expository Hairstyle Change: Has let her hair go back to its natural blonde color during the Time Skip, demonstrating her eventual acceptance of her Clarkson heritage.
  • Little Miss Snarker: Has no problems calling out York's bizarre commentary.
  • Morality Chain: For Zach. By 2019 Zach is more than willing to smoke away his last days until succumbing to cancer. At least until Patricia goes missing, at which point he's off to Le Carre with hardly any hesitation.
  • Tagalong Kid: Serves as York's primary companion during the Le Carre investigation.

     Candy Woods

Candy Woods

Patti's sickly mother and Melvin's wife.

  • Minor Major Character: Despite being considered a key character in the investigation and built up as a possible boss, Candy's role in the story is actually just to be sacrificed by Melvin so that Lena's plan can come to fruition (which doesn't end up happening, but she dies anyway). Candy herself has no lines or agency, which is justified by her sickly and morbidly obese state (caused by the red seeds) preventing her from even moving around without Melvin's help.
  • The Unfought: When York finally meets her, she's midway through her metamorphosis process to become a monster like Galena and Lena, but thankfully, she is allowed to die alongside her husband Melvin before such a thing could happen.
  • Walking Spoiler: Her true identity and current status are big reveals in the game.

    Red Shadows

Red Shadows

    Houngan

Houngan

Voiced By:
  • Big Good: Is the one who provides York with vital information necessary for solving the Le Carre case.
  • Expy: His role in the story shares much in common with The Giant with added voodoo flavor.

    The True Mastermind

Forrest Kaysen

Voiced By: Uncredited actor
  • Greater-Scope Villain: Brought the red seeds to Le Carre, forming the basis for Saint Rouge and manipulating Lena Dauman into carrying out the purge of the Clarkson bloodline, but otherwise has no physical presence in the La Carre murders at all (just like in Greenvale). He returns in 2019 to torment Zach and becoming the Final Boss of the game.
  • Hate Sink: Is just as loathsome as ever, letting not even death stop him from torturing Zach all that he can.
  • Hijacked by Ganon: Is revealed as the true mastermind of the Le Carre case, returning as the Big Bad of the story shortly after Lena Dauman's role comes to an end.
  • The Man Behind the Man: Once more, he's behind the Big Bad's actions.
