Lelouch vi Britannia/Lamperouge/Zero/'Lelucia'/大六天魔王/"Asshole":

The main character and star of the story. Also the primary viewpoint character for chapters. Though similar to canon!Lelouch, this version has a number of differences.
  • Anti-Hero: Something a lot of people notice and something Trollouche himself admits to: he is a monster, more terrifying than even Cornelia, and many of his actions, in particular his means of execution, terrify his enemies and allies alike. He is completely insane and fully aware that all it will take is one bad fall to push him over the edge. Even then though, he is a firm advocate for justice, does care about the men that follow under him, has people who care about him to stop him from going too far, and is the best chance the world has against Britannia.
  • Blood Knight: Unlike canon!Lelouch, Trollouche enjoys killing and has few reservations about it. Like mother, like son.
  • Broken Ace: Despite all his advantages and the altered viewpoint, courtesy of the local god, it's clear Trollouche has issues and is severely unstable. Fortunately, he's aware of this.
  • Breaking Speech: A Grandmaster of the art, his speeches are among his most potent weapons.
  • The Dreaded: Zero is building a decidedly terrifying reputation, based on his sheer presence and ruthlessness.
  • Large Ham: Possibly the biggest ham in the story.
  • Magnificent Bastard: Emphasis on Magnificent AND Bastard.
  • Morality Chain: Inverted and Invoked. Trollouche is fully aware of just how unhinged he could become, and that it would likely take only a single fall for him to completely snap. To this end, he surrounds himself with people capable of stopping him from going too far and making sure he retains his humanity. Tohdoh in particular comes to fully realize this after taking a look at Zero's mask, and realizing how similar it is to Griffith's, he and Senba agreeing that it's their job to make sure Trollouche never follows in Griffith's footsteps.
This war is not just a battle for control of the world. But to save the soul of Lelouch vi Britannia from its own darkness.
  • Names to Run Away from Really Fast: Zero's chosen title, "Demon King of the Sixth Heaven", isn't just a reference to Nobunaga. It's also to the original holder of the title, the Demon King MARA.
  • Performance Artist: Canon!Lelouch does this a lot; Trollouche just cranks it up.
  • Snark-to-Snark Combat: He gets into it with anyone willing to respond.
  • That Man Is Dead: Trollouche considers his past life as a failure of epic proportions. While he does see himself as Lelouch, he refuses to consider himself as the same man he once was and regularly laments how shortsighted he was or how badly he screwed up. This unfortunately puts a minor strain on his relationship with Laila, as Laila saw who that Lelouch was like, and while she does still love Trollouche, she admits to him that he is much more ruthless than the original, the original never scared her like he does, and she isn't sure if the world Trollouche is making is better than the original. Trollouche only tells her that that Lelouch failed to save Euphemia and he will make sure she lives to see this new future.
  • The Stoner: Subverted. Trollouche has an explosive temper and is prone to verbal, if not physically, tearing people apart. He smokes in order to deal with the enormous stress from everything he has to deal with.
  • Warrior Prince: More so than canon, because Trollouche doesn't hesitate to get his own hands dirty.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: To a greater degree than canon.
  • With Us or Against Us: An invoked case on his part. As a means of ensuring the Black Knights never betray him like they did to the original Lelouch, Trollouche inspires this mentality within the organization using his own charmisma combined with fear and terror.
    • Those that succumb to it become fanatically devoted to him, willing to gun down anyone who so much as suggests hostile intent towards him, as evident when all present members aim at Chiba when she yells at him.
    • Those that don't however he tends to put in positions where they will likely either become subservient to him, or get killed. This is best exemplified with Asahina. After the failed coup by Yoshino that Asahina secretly backed, Trollouche, at Tohdoh's urging, gives him a Secret Test of Character, ordering him to shoot himself in the head with the gun provided. Had he refused or turned the gun on Zero, he'd be painfully killed. But as Asahina does so, and upon finding it's empty, is presented one last chance to reclaim his honor. Knowingly partake in a Uriah Gambit that Trollouche says there's a high chance of him possibly dying in, with the caveat he'll be pardoned if he manages to survive, refusal meaning death as well. The mission however, though high risk, is survivable. Trollouche later admits he honestly doesn't care what becomes of Asahina so long as he does his job, but with no options, Asahina accepts, and is subjected to Uncertain Doom as a result of running into Kewell.

CC/????/The Queen of Hell/"Bitch Tornado":

Trollouche's partner and the one who gave him the dubious gift of Geass. Also the only person with any idea that Trollouche is not whom he was before the contract. As of R2, she has been promoted to main character status.

  • Bestiality Is Depraved: According to a canon omake, CC had "relations" with multiple donkeys back in the 17th century.
  • Character Development: Unlike canon, CC in this story is a bit more twisted. And madly in love.
  • Cloudcuckoolander's Minder: She's been a behind-the-scenes advisor to a lot of famous people, so she's gotten very good at managing difficult personalities.
  • The Dragon: Officially, Ohgi is the Black Knights' 2IC. Unofficially, however, CC runs the Black Knights as Zero's right hand.
  • Dragon-in-Chief: With Trollouche incapacitated following the Siege of Tokyo, CC has assumed full command of the Black Knights.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Much more so than in canon. Although that may be because she actually has someone to play it off with, in Trollouche.
  • Ethical Slut: Unlike canon, CC is decidedly hornier and enjoys cock-teasing Trollouche, which he gladly reciprocates.
  • Immortality Bisexuality: She really doesn't care about gender that much. Just whether someone is fun.
  • One True Love: CC admits at one point that she's never loved anyone like she's loved Lulu. She goes in a depression death spiral for a few months after the failure of the Siege of Tokyo.
  • Really 700 Years Old: 600 Years Old actually.
  • The Stoner: She's smoked with lots of famous people over the centuries.
  • Troll: Just as bad as Lulu, with over 600 years' experience at it.
  • Unstoppable Rage: CC turns into a screaming berserker, making sounds that are utterly inhuman, when some of the Black Knights attempt to assassinate Trollouche after the siege of Tokyo.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: Whenever Kallen has to interact with her, the two end up arguing or fighting. However, whenever one unknowingly hits another's sensitive topic (such as CC commenting on Refrain addicts), they will be quick to apologize for their misgivings.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Neither Trollouche nor Milly was particularly pleased with CC's actions regarding Mao, back when her Death Seeker tendencies were at their worst.

Kallen Kouzuki-Stadtfeld/Q-1/"Tsundere-chan"/Red Queen:

The Ace of the Black Knights and possible love interest for Trollouche AND CC. She's not receptive... yet.

  • The Ace: CC herself states that Kallen is potentially Knight of the Rounds-level, a opinion backed up by the former having trained with THE Ace, Marianne "the Flash" herself.
  • The Berserker: Her combat style in the Guren can best be described as maddened berserk dancing. It's extremely effective.
  • Cargo Ship: With the Guren. To the point where, if not for Trollouche's presence and how he would have never let her live it down, she would have started humping it in public!
  • The Chains of Commanding: Kallen gets a firsthand look at this after the disastrous raid at Akibahara.
  • Chekhov M.I.A.: During the Black Rebellion, Kallen was caught in the one of the collapsing buildings caused by Trollouche and C.C. fighting Kewell. Due to Trollouche's need of medical assistance, C.C.'s mental state, and a lack of manpower, no one was able to give her aid and hoped she'd be safer in the Guren rather than out on the street, and that they could recover her at a later time, Tohdoh pledging on his honor as a samurai that they will retrieve her. The Guren was later recovered by Britannia, but when Nunnally and Jeremiah confront Cornelia and her knights over her and Suzaku's locations, Cornelia reveals they don't have Kallen. That when the Guren was recovered, the black box revealed that the cockpit had been forced open, and the pilot had been unconscious and forcibly removed. Leila outright says that at this point, they can only assume Kallen was captured by someone, likely Charles intending to twist her and Suzaku with his Geass. The truth is much more horrifying.
  • Facepalm Of Doom: The Guren's primary weapon, a.k.a. the "Burning Finger", as more than a few people in-story have joked.
  • Hot-Blooded: Goes with her chosen weapon.
  • In Love with Your Carnage: While watching Trollouche spar, Kallen absentmindedly gropes herself.
  • Meaningful Name: After being called out by Trollouche, Kallen decided to use both of her surnames as a symbol of accepting her Britannian heritage as well as her Japanese side.
  • Mind Rape: After Charles frees her from Luciano, he forces her to come to Pendragon and uses his Geass on her, making her believe she is solely "Kallen Stadtfeld", an ojou in the making and Vice-President of the Ashford Student Council. Because of what Luciano did to her however and how ingrained her Japanese identity is, to effectively use his Geass would require completely rewriting her entire being, so Charles and Marianne agree that only the bear minimum will be done since they know someone will come for her shortly. As such, the conflict between her rewrote memories and her subconscious trauma leaves her constantly at odds, and when C.C. finally comes for her, she has a mental breakdown and is left in tears.
  • Only Sane Woman: CC explicitly states this as her role, because everyone else in Trollouche's entourage is either just as insane as he is, or else too loyal to him to properly call him out on his bullshit.
  • Paralyzing Fear of Sexuality: Downplayed, while Kallen isn't completely scared of intimacy, she does progress through it at a slower pace than Trollouche and CC, due to having been on her guard for most her life as a rebel. Trollouche has agreed to tone it down until she is ready.
  • Rape as Drama: She was kidnapped by Luciano Bradley and made into his sex slave for 10 days, with the bastard taking her virginity in the process. Charles himself is enraged upon learning this, and it's acknowledged by both him and Marianne that the damage Luciano did to Kallen's psyche would make using Geass on her do nothing but give her a mental breakdown without rewriting her very being.
  • Slap-Slap-Kiss: Her relationship with Trollouche, at times.
  • Tsundere: She's starting to warm up to the advances coming her way.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: Whenever she has to interact with CC, the two end up arguing or fighting. However, whenever one unknowingly hits another's sensitive topic such as CC commenting on Refrain addicts, they will be quick to apologize for their misgivings.

Suzaku Kururugi:

Lelouch's best friend and perhaps the only person in the story MORE SCREWED UP than him.

  • Best Friend: Just like canon. Trollouche isn't just his lover, he's the person who understands him the most.
  • Broken Bird: A rare male example, TricksterPriest has made it clear that the Brittanian invasion of Japan along with killing his father has left him traumatized to mental illness exemplified by his Black-and-White Morality.
  • The Cavalry: Despite being stopped by Schneizel, Suzaku's attack during the siege of Tokyo gives the desperate Black Knights enough cover to evacuate Zero and avoid a rout.
  • Charles Atlas Superpower: Suzaku is bullshit strong. No one knows why.
  • Chronic Backstabbing Disorder: Averted. Trollouche got him to finally admit the Empire was evil.
  • Death Seeker: Thanks to Trollouche's Geass, far less of one than in canon. However, he's still unstable and a push from Schneizel coupled with his contradicting oaths to Euphemia and Trollouche makes him attempt to die by Chinese Gun Ru during their invasion.
  • Knight in Shining Armor: One thing that hasn't changed from canon; Suzaku is still a knight in all but name. Finally averted with Euphemia naming him as her Knight of Honor. And then subsequently subverted once he's geassed by Charles into the new Knight of Seven.
  • Mind Rape: He is made of victim of this due to Charles' Geass. He is stripped of all his memories of Trollouche and the others, and turned into a Living Weapon with a singular purpose: kill Zero for alledgedly killing Euphie.
  • Pretty Boy: Lampshaded by CC, who says the only reason Suzaku's hotness isn't acknowledged by Britannians is racism and social stigma.
  • Shut Up, Hannibal!: Schneizel tries to mess with Suzaku's head when the latter rushes to defend Trollouche in the crashed Gawain, questioning his loyalty to Britannia, Euphemia and other things. Suzaku's response? "So respectfully, Your Highness? Go to hell."

Nunnally vi Britannia/Lamperouge/"Nunna":

Trollouche's cute and adorable little sister. Much more on the ball than she looks.

  • Beware the Nice Ones: She's a vi Britannia. Underestimate her at your peril.
  • Bodyguard Crush: With her girlfriend/Knight, Alice Hargreaves.
  • Breaking Speech: It's very easy to forget that Nunnally is just as vicious and vindictive as her brother at times. And then she does things like rip Cornelia's heart out with ice cold anger.
  • Break the Cutie: Averted. She came back stronger for it.
  • Politically-Active Princess: She's got the potential, considering her family.
  • Silk Hiding Steel: She's just as devious and almost as smart as Trollouche himself.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: She finds out about her brother being Zero when he rescues her from Kawaguchi thanks to a clever deduction. And then she verbally tears him a new one for endangering himself and potentially leaving her all alone. However, it's subverted when Trollouche refuses to back down and calls her out as being a selfish hypocrite for not caring about other people.

Cornelia li Britannia/The Witch of Britannia/The Goddess of Victory/"Nelly":

Trollouche and Nunnally's older sister, ranking general in the Britannian army, Viceroy of Area 11, and protege of Marianne vi Britannia.

  • Ace Pilot: She's not quite at the level of say, Kallen, but a few people have outright said she could contend with (some of) the Knights of the Round.
  • Blood Knight: A general who leads from the front, she enjoys a good battle like most Britannians.
  • Character Development: Gradually softens her attitude towards Suzaku, to the point of defending him at various points.
  • Defector from Decadence: To nobody's surprise, after Nunnally's verbal beatdown, Cornelia has defected to the Black Knights.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Even she admits to not liking Schneizel's games, such as using Suzaku as a sacrificial pawn at Kyushu.
  • Hypocrisy Nod: While chastising Guilford for suggesting mass slaughter, she privately acknowledges her own hypocrisy.
  • Lady of War: Refined and elegant, but also the highest ranking woman in the Britannian army outside of the Knights of the Round.
  • Mid-Season Upgrade: Cornelia switches from her prized custom Gloucester, to an experimental 6th generation Knightmare looted from Pakistan formerly known as the Aaliyah. She rechristens it "Reginleif", or "Daughter of the Gods" and has Lloyd remodel it with a FLOAT system. The resulting frame, finished in time for the Siege of Tokyo, puts her on even ground with the airborne Gawain.
  • Punch-Clock Villain: She enforces imperial policy because it's her job. Though she has a particular disdain for the Japanese due to their role in the death of her siblings.
  • Spicy Latina: Downplayed due to her being a General and being on duty most of the time, but Cornelia is actually Cuban-Britannian on her mother's side. Foreshadowed and hinted with her fondness for tequila.
  • Villainous Breakdown: Cornelia is left utterly shattered after Nunnally tells what really happened to her and Trollouche, as well as who is behind the mask of Zero. To the point that she's sobbing on her knees as her sister leaves.

Euphemia li Britannia/The Saving Angel of Britannia/"Pinky Princess":

Cornelia's younger sister, older than Nunnally by 3 years, and younger than Trollouche by 1 year. Sub Viceroy of Area 11, had not debuted to the public prior to Cornelia's reassignment to Area 11.

  • Affectionate Nickname: "Euphie" to friends and family, "Pinky Princess" courtesy of Trollouche.
  • All-Loving Heroine: Nobody dislikes her, not even the beaten down Elevens of Area 11. A fact that Dietreid Reid bemoans, because it makes any attempt to smear her with propaganda a lost cause. Even the Black Knights love her once she defects.
  • Badass Pacifist: Would not hurt a fly, still capable of facing down the likes of Zero and Schneizel. Though if pushed too far, she has a mean slap.
  • Brother–Sister Incest: Is very interested in her sister Cornelia, and her brother Trollouche, once she realizes he's still around.
  • Covert Pervert: As innocent as she seems at times, she's also best friends with Milly and makes surprisingly dirty comments at times. And she was very much in favor of the idea of fucking Trollouche & Suzaku at the same time.
  • Kill the Cutie: Thoroughly averted. Not having this happen is one of Trollouche's highest priorities.
  • Odd Friendship: She's one of Milly Ashford's best friends, a fact that strains credulity from most people unaware that they were childhood friends in Pendragon.
  • Politically-Active Princess: She actively takes part in trying to root out the corruption in Area 11, and avert the cruelty of the Number system. She finally threw in the towel on reforming Britannia peacefully from within after Zero smashed the SAZ, after which she publicly defected to his side.
  • Red Baron: Is dubbed The Saving Angel of Britannia by Zero.
  • Underestimating Badassery: More than one person dismisses her as a porcelain doll or too naïve and timid to do anything. Most people forget that she's still an imperial princess. Backfires epically when she publicly repudiates Britannia and defects to Zero, who is just as stunned as everyone else.
  • Wide-Eyed Idealist: Zig-zagged. Despite being incredibly idealistic about her goals, her plan for the SAZ is more expansive than the gift in canon. She intends to use it as a proof of concept to dismantle the Area System itself once it succeeds. Unfortunately, she underestimated Schneizel's willingness to manipulate her.

Laila la Britannia/"Pixie":

Clovis's younger sister, very close to the vi Britannia family and a major in the OSI.
  • Break the Cutie: Laila goes through absolute hell trying to contain the situation in Area 18, while trying to help out Trollouche and the black knights. None of which is helped by Luciano Bradley being called in to deal with NOD.
  • A Child Shall Lead Them: Downplayed, she's high ranking in the OSI despite being around Nunnally's age, and has a high position with NOD too.
  • Incest Subtext: Like most of Lulu's sisters, she had the hots for him. Unlike most of them, however? She also likes Nunnally that way.
  • Master of Disguise: When first interacting with Trollouche, she looked nothing like herself. Under the name of "LL", she donned a face mask, wrapped her face in a head scarf, and wore contacts, making her look like a Middle-Eastern boy rather than a Britannian girl.
  • Mole in Charge: She's a high ranking member of the OSI, but she's completely sympathetic to Trollouche's cause and the Black Knights before she even confirmed he was Zero. Her confirming it was him just solidified it, and she gladly told him NOD would follow the Black Knights.
  • Reports of My Death Were Greatly Exaggerated: She was thought to have been killed by Anthrax Bombings, but was actually in hiding working as an agent of the OSI.
  • Secret-Keeper: She's the only person aside from C.C. aware of the original timeline that Trollouche is working to change, something she reveals to Lelouch after he asks how she knows about Geass and his identity of Zero. Unlike Trollouche however, who required having someone from another reality fuse with Lelouch and knows what happens cause he saw the original timeline, she was a person directly contacted by the Caretaker of Spacetime and inserted as Laila la Britannia from birth.
  • Troll: Laila is a complete shit disturber and takes sadistic glee in driving people up the wall.
