     Knights of the Round Table

King Arthur Pendragon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arthur_3000.jpg

The legendary King of Camelot is reawakened in the 30th millennium during an alien invasion.

  • Big Good: To the Knights of Camelot.
  • Heroes Prefer Swords: He still wields his mythical sword Excalibur.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: He pulls one at the end of the series to finish off Morgan and her aliens for good.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: The unfortunate perpetrator of this trope, since the Massacre of the May Babies happened with him ordering the killings of all children born in May because one of them was prophesied to kill them. At least that is the vision that Morgana shows to Mordred's reincarnation.

Tom Prentice

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tom_prentice.jpg

A English student who after surviving an alien attack that claimed his parents' lives, finds and accidentally releases King Arthur from his tomb.

  • I Just Want My Beloved to Be Happy: Tom is cruelly rejected by Tristan. He respects it, and still saves her from killing herself.
  • Incompatible Orientation: Tom is in love with Tristan, but the latter is a straight man in a female body who doesn't return the feelings.
  • Meaningful Name: "Prentice" being an archaic word for "apprentice" and "Tom" most likely coming from Sir Thomas Malory.
  • Supporting Protagonist: King Arthur obviously leads the group and is viewed as The Hero, but we follow Tom's point of view most of the time.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Starts off unable to fight the aliens at all, and several issues later is the one to blow up Owen's monstrous form with a dynamite. Then he survives a beam from an alien ship and saves Arthur, and finally infiltrates Morgan's castle and saves Tristan from suicide.

Sir Lancelot/Jules Futrelle

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lancelot_3000.jpg

  • Berserk Button: Don't misuse holy artifacts.
  • The Lancer/Number Two: He is the first of Arthur's knights to be reawakened and provides the most important support.
  • Healing Hands: Notably, he uses this power to save Guinevere after being shot by an assassin.
  • Uncle Pennybags: His current incarnation. Being a wealthy philanthropist who uses his resources to help people under attack by the aliens.

Queen Guinevere/Joan Acton

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/guinc3000.png

Reincarnated as Joan Acton, an American military commander who is helping the war efforts against the aliens.

  • Action Girl: Guinevere gained the experience of a kickass female commander, so she can fight just as well as the men.

Sir Kay

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sir_kay_3000.jpg

Arthur's foster brother, he was incarnated into an Australian man.

  • Insufferable Genius: The least likable member of the Knights, he is also the smartest, learning from the mistakes of others. Even his treachery has a good reason to happen, and it actually works as intended.
  • Hate Sink: Deliberately in-universe: his Jerkass demeanor was in fact intended to reduce tensions between the members of Arthur’s court, by uniting them in mutual dislike of Kay.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: He dies saving his brother, redeeming himself from his treachery.
  • Land Down Under: His current incarnation came from Australia.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: He acts like a jerk to make everyone else unite against him. His extreme but effective methods of solving problems escalate, as he turns traitor to save Arthur from his depression. It works, but he still has to pay the price for it.

Sir Galahad

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/galahad_3000.jpg

Lancelot's son, he was incarnated into a samurai.

Sir Tristan/Amber March

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tristan_3000.jpg

Reincarnated as a Canadian woman, Tristan dislikes being trapped in a female body. His/her character is considered one of the series' highlights.

  • Action Girl: Nonetheless, even though he dislikes the "girl" part.
  • Berserk Button: He doesn't like being poked fun for being in a female body.
  • Bifauxnen: Due to being a man in a female body, he prefers to dress in masculine fashion.
  • Gender Bender Angst: Turned into an woman and really unhappy with it.
  • Karmic Transformation: One can see that his reincarnation as a woman is punishment for having raped a woman trying to protect Mordred as a baby.

Sir Percival

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/percival_3000.jpg

An unfortunate victim turned into a Neo-Man, he retained his sentience and intelligence because of the magic effects

  • The Big Guy: The largest and strongest member of the group.
  • Super-Soldier: His purpose as a Neo-Man was basically to repress the populace in service to their corrupt and oppressive governments.

Sir Gawain

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gawain_3000.jpg

Arthur's nephew, he was incarnated into an African scientist who is forced to abandon his family to join the heroes.

  • Berserk Button: Don't talk bad about his family, and he does not like humans who support the invaders.
  • Friendly Rival: To Galahad. They often fight together and play chess and arm wrestling against each other. They are also equals.
  • Happily Married: He has a family he cares a lot about.
  • Laser Blade: He uses it against his enemies effectively.
  • Race Lift: Reincarnated as an African.

Merlin

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/merlin_camelot_3000_001.png

Camelot's court mage and Arthur's mentor.

  • All-Powerful Bystander: Merlin merely warns Arthur and the Knights about dangers. He only actually fights in the final battle and curbstomps Nimueh and Morgan in seconds, and with brutal deaths.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: A half-demon sorcerer in service to the heroes.
  • Deus Exit Machina: He is taken captive half-way through the series by Nimueh and deprives the Knights of the Round table of their magic asset.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: He is the son of the Devil in this continuity.
  • Wizard Beard: Its Merlin after all.

     Antagonists

Morgan Le Fay

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/morgan_lefay_by_brian_bolland_1.jpg

Arthur's hated sister, she managed to escape death after Camelot's destruction and her spirit has survived for ages. Eventually, she reformed on a tenth planet in the solar system, where she enslaved its population and forced them to invade Earth.

  • Big Bad: As the one behind the alien invasion.
  • Body Horror: Bathing on the tenth planet's lakes have made her develop horrid-looking tumors in her body. She weaponizes them for murder, wants the Holy Grail to cure herself, and the disease almost does her in.
  • Child Soldiers: She took baby aliens to make them her minions. The alien queen wants her dead.
  • Fan Disservice: She would easily count as a Ms. Fanservice character type, if not for the nasty boils and pustules in her back.
  • Galactic Conqueror: Morgan is the one behind the Alien Invasion on Earth.
  • Manipulative Bastard: She uses Mac Alister's feelings to make him a monster, Jordan Matthew's ambitions for his alliance, and Tristan's past life as a man to tempt her into joining her.
  • One-Winged Angel: After her disease kills her, she manages to come back as a spider-human hybrid and calls all aliens from Earth to assist her. King Arthur sacrifices himself to end her for good.

Jordan Matthew / Mordred

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jordan_matthew.jpg

A corrupt United Nations official who is secretly in league with Morgan. He is revealed to be Arthur's bastard son reincarnated.

  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: Before learning his true identity, he is basically a Smug Snake, submissive to Morgan and not the one who makes the plans. After he learns he is Modred, he even manages to assert dominance to Morgan, while he is also the toughest enemy Arthur ever faces.
  • The Dragon: To Morgan.
  • Dragon-in-Chief: Initially averts the trope, as Morgan is far more competent than Matthew, but not Sir Mordred.
  • Tin Tyrant: He converts the Holy Grail into an armor that makes him virtually indestructible.
  • Smug Snake: It seems arrogant, self-satisfied smile is Matthew's default expression. He loves scheming, but he is not as good of a planner as Morgan is, and she clearly manipulates him, until her need to heal herself with the Holy Grail allows him to have some power over her. Once he has the Grail, he thinks he is invincible... he only mostly is.
  • Unskilled, but Strong: As Mordred, he may be a swordsman, but he is inferior to both Lancelot and King Arthur. He still gives them both a beating because his armor makes him invincible to brute force.

     Other Characters

Isolde/Claire Locklyn

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/camelot_3000_tristan_and_isolde.jpg

Reincarnated as an American employed as Jordan Matthew's secretary, specially selected and recommended by Morgan.

  • Small Role, Big Impact: She mostly exists as a pawn to tempt Tristan into becoming a man again, and a love interest. However, she does show agency in the final chapters, and ultimately stops Jordan Matthew's propaganda from being published and warns the Knights that he is an ally of Morgan.
  • Unwitting Pawn: Unknowingly used to tempt Tristan into betraying the Knights. Otherwise averted from harm or playing any other significant part.
