Super Danganronpa Another 2: The Isle of Nowhere That Never Was is a blog centered around an AU of Super Danganronpa Another 2, often just called the Beta AU.
The story follows Sora, an amnesiac girl who wakes up on Utsuroshima, an island called the Island of Nowhere. She's stuck there with 15 other students, all of them Ultimates. But when Monocrow, a black and white parakeet with an ominous red eye, calls the group to the park to announce a killing game, the island is cloaked in a new despair...

. While the blog is only on Chapter 1, most of the plot has been developed on the discord server. Spoilers from the server will be present.
This blog provides examples of:
- Adaptational Jerkass: Oh so very much. Much of the cast is now far colder and nastier than their canon counterparts. One of the most egregious examples of this is Emma, who was fairly sweet in the main game even with her being a part of Void, but is now a bratty, self-centered, attention-seeking Alpha Bitch. Yuri is just as bad, if not worse, being a complete reverse of his views on men and women (despite being feminine himself) and is ultimately the one who kills Sora in Chapter 4.
- Adaptational Nice Guy: By contrast, some of the more antagonistic characters or characters who were just cold overall are much nicer on the blog. Some examples of this would be Mikado and Kokoro, being far sweeter than their canon counterparts (with the former getting an outright Adaptational Heroism).
- And Now for Someone Completely Different: The protagonist role shifts to Yuki after Sora is killed.
- Camping Episode: Kokoro suggests a camping trip in Chapter 1.
- Death by Adaptation:
- Shinji dies three chapters earlier than in canon fangame.
- In turn, Kokoro dies as a culprit of Chapter 1 rather than as a victim of Chapter 2.
- Sora is murdered in Chapter 4 in contrast of sacrificing herself at the end of Chapter 6.
- Iroha, a survivor in the canon fangame, becomes the second victim of Chapter 5.
- Driven to Suicide: In Chapter 5, Mikado is overtaken by guilt, blaming himself for the killing game, and decides to kill himself in an attempt to end it.
- Mythology Gag: Plenty of references are made to the source material, as well as the canon games.
- While the chapter differs, the Otonokoji twins plan and perform at a concert, playing the theme song of a popular magical girl anime.
- The third case has two students found dead in a music venue shortly after a concert from one of the victims. Sound familiar?
- Like in Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, the female lead dies, though she's the victim and the chapter differs.
- You get to see the first victim die right in front of you, Dies Wide Open and all.
- The second victim's body is found in a bell tower, along with being the culprit of another universe where a victim was found (and killed in) the bell tower.
- Emma's execution is almost identical to her one in canon, edited slightly to accommodate Emma's personality.
- Like in canon, Hajime mocks Shinji after the latter tries to punch him, with the same quote being used.
"You fucking nuts? Who are you to challenge the Ultimate Boxer?" - Non-Indicative Name:
- Despite the name, neither the designs or personalities of any of the characters are actual beta designs, with the exception of Syobai's personality.
- Also, despite his being called Monocrow, according to
Word of God, he's actually Mikado and Iroha's pet parakeet, who was given a translation collar and sentience by Mikado.
- Fake Kill Scare: Kokoro appears to have been killed in the kitchen... But she just passed out due to her cold and got cut with the broken pink lemonade bottles.
