Awesome / Zero Time Dilemma

Go To

Spoilers are untagged, including the identity of the main villain. Reader beware!

  • Akane slapping Junpei in the face when he gets too callous about killing people to escape.
  • Eric bodily shielding Mira from a crossbow bolt.
  • Diana, giving birth in a spartan bomb shelter, under extremely harsh conditions, with no one other than Sigma to help, stays incredibly calm under the circumstances.
    • Bonus points for it being an unexpected twin birth, since twin births are more likely to come with complications and, while she sounds distressed upon realising what was happening, she seems very calm about it afterwards, saying that she had her suspicions.
  • Phi kicking Delta when he reveals what he did to ensure their birth.
    • For added context, the last time she did this, she had the moon's lower gravity and the element of surprise on her side. This time, she jumps 20 feet in the air in Earth's gravity, towards a person who sees her coming, is armed with a shotgun, and has psychic mind-reading powers... and she still Falcon Kicks him in the face.
  • Junpei forming a plan to cheat Zero's system and gain X-Passes from another timeline.
    • Even more awesome: Zero prepared a contingency plan to thwart it!
  • At one point, Junpei casually throws out that he and Seven successfully managed to track down and raid a Free the Soul base. Akane is understandably shocked by this, as neither she and her Crash Keys nor Alice with her team of Espers has managed to get the drop on Free the Soul before, despite their best efforts. And Junpei just happened to stumble on this valuable info while he was searching for Akane...
  • Despite having been raped and beaten several times by her abusive husband, Diana recognizes why Sigma hurt her, and that he honestly couldn't think of any other way to stop her suicidal insanity.
  • D-Team figuring out a way to breach the facility's walls: bombing them. Even Zero didn't anticipate them doing that!
  • Akane switching off the lights before attacking Carlos. Good god, that girl fights dirty.
  • Carlos struggling with one of Delta's robot minions in the C-END path is just the first of many for him along that route.
  • Naturally, saving everyone in the Golden Ending. Hell, saving everyone with one coin flip counts!
  • Sean, wielding a crossbow and being given the choice to shoot Eric or Mira, can instead choose to turn towards the camera and shoot Delta!
  • You've gotta hand it to Delta, in the true ending's timeline, not only did he manage to achieve everything he set out to do with his Decision Game, but he got away with it scot free and all he had to do was flip a coin. He won the game before it even had a chance to begin. Even Akane and his own father couldn't pull off a gambit this smoothly with 45 years of prep time!
    • To be a little more specific, he orchestrates his own birth, plans for and carries out multiple timelines' worth of branches while not being a Shifter or relying on sentient AI to control the events like Sigma did with the AB Game, creates at least two timelines where humanity survives or avoids a pandemic/nuclear holocaust, manipulates half a dozen powerful Espers into shifting through multiple timelines to arrive at the exact conclusion he wants them to, and then delivers the final villainous mic drop by telling our heroes, to their faces, that they can accuse him of absolutely zero crimes in the ending they chose for themselves, because those were the Deltas in other timelines and besides, he's already removed any evidence while they all slept. The other two Zeroes WISH they could pull off this level of intricacy with as little effort.
