  • How about the fact that a single person can fight off and even defeat an Elder God all by themselves? Yes, you will die a lot, but the fact that there is a non-zero chance of a medical student, an Addled Addict, a teen idol or a hobby photographer preventing the End of the World as We Know It is awesome in itself.
  • Ending A for Far-out Fable of a Fear Festival in Timeline A. It looks like everything is going to hell, the being the cult worships is summoned. And then BLAM! A gun shot and in storms in a Police Task Force, obviously equipped to deal with the occult from the masks they're wearing. They're the ones that actually save the day, you just managed to distract the cult long enough for the Task Force to arrive.
  • Finishing the final mystery, unlocking all five locks, having to deal with the boss fight, and making it to the top of the lighthouse on your last legs. Your Stamina and Reason are both single-digits, your Doom Track is nearing 100%, you have sustained the absolute worst cards the game could've played on you... yet you still see the sun rising. Even after all that, you made it.
  • Goizo of all creatures gets to be surprisingly crafty in an ending that serves as an epic moment for both humanity's last remnants and the Old God itself. If Goizo wins due to the Doom Track, humanity smashes every mirror to survive its power. Awesome enough, but the last survivors get a nasty surprise when they remember that mirrors aren't the only reflective surfaces around... and human eyes do just fine. While it's horrifying, it's hard not to give some props to the Old God for how clever that is.
  • Ending A for 'Curious Case of a Contagious Coma', while it is revealed that what you fought was only the finger of a much larger being, you still end up mutilating an Eldritch Abomination and force it to flee your world with its tail between its legs.
  • Haru's Deja Vu event if you choose to fight the White Death. Haru steels himself, resolving to not run away ever again, and prepares to stand his ground against the thing that took all of his comrades. It's Personal and My Greatest Second Chance doesn't even begin to describe it.
[you won't be weak anymore] "You're not running away again. You're not going to *let* yourself run away again. Not anymore. Not again. Never, never again. For the sake of everyone you left to die... You're going to stand and fight, like you always should've...!"
