- While the ways she uses it are less than awesome, Geraldine's immense wealth can be considered impressive.
- Two words: CJ Matthews. Hell, the kid is practically a walking, talking moment of awesome. Every single time he's present, he shows some sort of impressive feat, whether that be his general athleticism, or his leadership in the playground. Such examples include:
- Taking out one of the aggressive Dobermans, standing up to his brothers, bandaging Isaac's wounds, and earning the trust of the other kids to lead them through the playground all before the real games even begin.
- Saving Donnie from potential death in the hopscotch game.
- Standing up to Bobby once again when he threatens Isaac, and then him as well, before delivering a harsh rebuttal to his brother's baseless insults.
- His final moments on the see-saw trap. He withstands so much pain up to that point, and its likely that if he hadn't passed out at the end, he would've survived.
- Credit goes to Tanya as well. Geraldine notes herself that had she not been present to decipher the clues and assist CJ with leading the group, they may not have made it very far at all.
- Although their effort is unsuccessful, Sadie, Isaac and Kip show remarkable bravery when they try to save Sam from the falling ceiling.
- The swing trap scene doubles as this and Heartwarming. Not only do both remaining Grimley children make it across the pit alive, but the siblings reconcile after Isaac helps Sadie work up the courage to take the leap. After years of fighting and sibling rivalry, their teamwork helps them finally put it all aside.
- Speaking of the Grimleys, Molly uses Rock's hint in the next room to warn the children of the greased monkey bars, effectively saving their lives. Immediately after, Isaac figures out how to safely go down the booby-trapped slides without getting hurt, completely on the fly, and saves them again.
- Also a Tear Jerker, Isaac's Heroic Sacrifice in the merry-go-round trap. Knowing he can't make it, he instead accepts his death, using his final moments to bring Bobby down with him.
