• The montage of Holly and Sebastian trying to one up each other during their trapeze acts. Risky or not, Holly makes good on her promise to do everything that Sebastian can do or better. The highlight is probably when Sebastian balances a chair on his trapeze. Holly responds by delicately balancing a chair on her trapeze stand and then standing on her head on top of the chair.
• Many of the acts not involving main characters are quite fun and impressive, Padding or not.
  • Two dogs jumping onto the back of a moving horse, and then the smaller dog getting on top of the bigger dog's back, all without needing cues from a human trainer.
  • Three people ride a unicycle, with one sitting on another's shoulders and the third balancing her head on top of the shoulder sitter's head.
  • A bareback rider keeps jumping on and off a horse and going cartwheels on the ground.
• Brad's impassioned speech to keep his bosses from laying anyone off or doing a shorter season demonstrates his competence and loyalty to his crew.
• Brad firing Harry for his crooked gambling and Klaus for his If I Can't Have You… threats to Angel.
• The scenes where the animal handlers calm the frightened and potentially dangerous big cats and coax them back to their cages after the train wreck. In the same scene, there's the way Brad keeps giving orders for the salvage operations and logistics of their next performance even while he's being operated on. Then, once he passes out, Holly takes over. Her efforts to bring in spectators from a nearby town to watch the show by the wrecked train leave even the Non-Action Big Bad impressed.
