• Sergeant Petersen's talent for being able to get ahold of items he shouldn't have ends up being put to good use. He even manages to get his hands on a number of critically needed supplies, even some extra-heavy machine guns of all things.
  Captain Coleman: Oh, uh, I noticed a load of corrugated tin has miraculously appeared overnight.
  Captain Mac-Daniel: Sergeant Petersen provided it.
  Captain Coleman: Well, that's a good man you've got there.
  Colonel Kirby: Sergeant Petersen say where he got it?
  Captain Mac-Daniel: He, uh, said The Good Fairy left it.
  Colonel Kirby: (smiling) I hope he said The Good Fairy left it, Sir!
• Kowalski managing to fight off four Vietcong soldiers during an ambush. Though sadly he's still killed during the attack.
