- The entire ending of Sonic and the Secret Rings was an incredibly awesome moment for Sonic. After being defeated, Erazor Djinn makes a short speech on how he is immortal and thus cannot be vanquished... before Sonic promptly reveals he now has Erazor's lamp. Remember that Erazor is the same genie of the lamp from Aladdin. Sonic wastes no time making his three wishes; wishing for Shahra to be restored to life, to return the Arabian Nights to the way they were before Erazor started messing with them, and finally, to seal Erazor back into his lamp for eternity. And he does this in an epic fashion; taking full advantage of Erazor having no choice but to grant the wishes regardless of what he wants, which drives the evil genie to an epic Villainous Breakdown as he's disintegrated and imprisoned forever. And there's the last thing he says to Erazor...Sonic: My third wish... Erazor Djinn! You shall live out the rest of time trapped inside your lamp, as you were in days of old! (points the lamp at him, and blasts him with magic)
Erazor: (panicking as he begins to lose his shape) Shahra! I know you're there! Please, stop him! We can start over, the two of us! I swear! I swear it! The world is mine! I cannot be denied by that filthy rat! (gets pulled into the lamp) WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?!?!?!
Sonic: I told you, I'm ''not'' a rat! (closes the lid, and brings the flame up to his mouth) I'm a hedgehog! (blows it out)- Likewise, over the course of the entire game, the Erazor Djinn has been a high-and-mighty asshole treating everyone and everything like tools for his own ends: consuming the Arabian Nights to increase his own power, forcing Sonic into collecting the World Rings for his plan, the heavy implication that he was in an abusive relationship with Shahra… and here Sonic is, giving him the once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience how he feels about being toyed around with. And Erazor, once the nigh-untouchable scourge of the story, is so horrified and tormented by this that he begs for his life.
- And in the epilogue, it's shown that just to make sure that Erazor Djinn can never come back, Sonic returns to Evil Foundry and destroys the lamp in a vat of molten metal. Even if Erazor managed to survive this, it ensures that nobody will ever find his lamp and unleash him ever again. Beware the Nice Ones, indeed.
- Erazor has just killed Sonic's closest friend throughout his adventure, and then Sonic absorbs all of the Rings that channel negative emotion. What happens? You get a badass, fire-wielding, pissed-off, dark purple form known as Darkspine Sonic. Even just the way you defeat Erazor with Darkspine is awesome; you kick his giant energy blasts back at him like they're soccer balls, then you charge forward and start pounding. Sonic unloads hundreds of machine gun-fast punches, ending in one giant explosion. Now that is a brilliant way to do it.Darkspine Sonic: Your tale is finished, Erazor! Next time, try writing a better story.
