  • Walter's reaction to Cabe's reintroduction in his life in the pilot.
Walter: You cross me on this, I'll go online and in less than an hour, I'll erase you.
  • Ralph gets one in the diner as Scorpion are setting up. Paige confronts Walter for what she sees as insensitive behaviour towards her "special" son. Walter counters by explaining what Ralph and Sylvester are doing: the sugar packets, salt shakers etc. they're messing with are improvised chess pieces, and far from being "special" in the way Paige thinks, Ralph is playing chess "with a grand master, who is about to lose." Sure enough, moments later Sylvester concedes the game and comes over, bursting with excitement over the kid who just beat him.
Sylvester: Walter, you see this!? Checkmate in eight moves! This kid is amazing!
  • Happy using Cabe's badge for a Flashed-Badge Hijack, by claiming the name Cabe (pronounced kayb) is a Korean name (pronounced Kah-Bay).
  • "Love Boat": The team needs to hack into a foreign missile system to intercept the missiles fired by the terrorists at an American aircraft, and Toby and Happy, the mission control, say they can't do it like Walter would be able to. At the crucial moment, the panicked Japanese find their systems hijacked by this new virus, codenamed..."Ralphy-boy"?
Toby: (to Ralph) Looks like you picked a good day to skip school!
  • Sylvester's CMOAs tend to revolve around overcoming his extreme fear of everything.
    • Sylvester gets a very quietly acknowledged CMOA when he admits that to Megan that after being blown into a coma by a bomb on a mission for Scorpion, he's now terrified of going back to Scorpion. At the end of the episode, he's right back at Scorpion headquarters with the team. The very next episode, he not only goes with them on a mission, he overcomes numerous phobias and wedges himself under a boulder to hold it off vital medical equipment for as long as it takes to move the extremely heavy machine.
    • In "Love Boat", Sylvester overcomes a fear of boats, a fear of water, and a fear of heights by jumping off a ledge and drop kicking the Big Bad in the life boat.
    • Sylvester gets more awesome moments in "Young Hearts Spark Fire", when he and an injured helicopter pilot are trapped together during a forest fire. Sly turns the helicopter door into an improvised shield to protect them from the flames; later, when the pilot says I Will Only Slow You Down, Sylvester just carries him to safety. The episode ends with the pilot admiringly calling Sly "a tough son of a bitch".
    • "Fish Filet" is pretty much an episode-length Awesome Moment for Sylvester. Forced to infiltrate a prison by impersonating a hardened killer, then escape by Faking the Dead, he not only pulls it off, but also defeats a psychotic gang leader, complete with Bond One-Liner ("I have a limit of one death per day"). And then he finally tells Megan that he loves her!
  • Happy with a crossbow.
  • In "Cliffhanger", Ralph MacGyvers his way out of school, past a police barricade, into a building about to cover Los Angeles in Sarin gas, and seals it off. Paige is freaked out because her son has picked up Walter's penchant for suicidal heroism, and plans to take him clear across the country to live with the father who abandoned him.
  • In "We're Gonna Need a Bigger Vote", Walter is off-case due to his shaky immigration status and is being babysat with Ralph by an FBI agent watching his every move so he doesn't try to listen in on the team. He and Ralph manage to do so anyway by pretending they're doing Ralph's science project. When they overhear that the virus that's screwing the voting system came from the Cheif of Staff's tablet, the team realise the FBI guys could be in on it... including the one guarding Walter and Ralph. They escape the armed agent using a milkshake, the Airstream and Sylvester's Super Fun Guy figurine. Then, for an encore, they sneak onto Air Force One and steal the Cheif of Staff's tablet. They get caught doing so (by the FBI guys who luckily are not corrupt after all), but still!
  • Paige comes up with a physics-based solution that saves her and Happy's lives in "Broken Wind". For context, they're trapped in a cable car suspended from a wind turbine after the cable snapped, and there's tension after Happy referred to Paige as a "cheerleader" in a way that's clearly synonymous with "bimbo". At the climax, they're climbing the cable so Cabe can shoot through it, losing the car so they can be winched up. The problem is that the cable is too slippery to climb. Paige finds a solution that involves kinking the cable with their feet and using each other as a counterbalance. Later, when Happy asks her how she thought of it, Paige says "cheerleading practice."
  • Ralph's epic "The Reason You Suck" Speech to Walter in "Something Borrowed, Something Blew" for firing Paige. He accuses Walter of cowardice, and when Walter tries to loftily tell him he's a child who doesn't understand such things, Ralph points out that Walter is the one trying to make Toby and Happy's wedding day about him. He finishes by telling Walter he should be glad Ralph is a child, because if he was bigger he'd fight Walter for hurting his mom. He leaves Walter looking a little shaken and very told off, having not once raised his voice.
  • Sylvester rallying a bunch of role-playing nerds in "Faire is Foul" to save the day with a Rousing Speech. Well, except for a one who is a total wuss and another who went to go hide in a manure bin.
  • Paige completely reaming Florence in "It's Raining Men (of War)" when Florence has the nerve to accuse her of being an Entitled Bitch. Happy even senses it coming from a mile away.
Paige: You're stressed. That's understandable. This is your first Scorpion disaster. We're used to it.
Florence: How do you know that I'm stressed? Maybe this is how I normally act when I'm synthesizing a polymer on a sinking ship. I assume you apply polymer on strips of cloth, like paper-machie.
    Paige: That would be correct.
Florence: Okay. I will get to work on that.
Paige: I'll ballast the boat. Maybe a shift in the weight will bring the hole out of the water.
Florence: Just working in a kitchen. Standard Thanksgiving, right? I'm not feeling very thankful. And I know that you're just trying to take my mind off of the situation.
Paige: I am. Because I know working with a team of geniuses can be trying.
Florence: (short laugh) I'm seriously starting to doubt that anyone on this team is a genius.
Paige: Excuse me, but a genius would have done the math to know that your product is jellyfish bait. So, one, this is your fault. And two, I am trying to be nice to you, but I draw the line at you badmouthing my nerds.
Happy (over comm): Sly? What's going on over there? Ladies are fighting.
Florence: This predicament is not the fault of my product— which, by the way, is working like gangbusters. That plastic bound together faster than any of you could calculate.
Paige: Oh, oh, I didn't see the Nobel Prize committee. Maybe they're stuck in the quadrillion jellyfish you attracted! Oh, okay.
    Florence: Sorry, Miss Perfect.
    Paige: ...What?
Florence: Oh, please. The hot mom with the genius kid, dating the boss. It's super easy to criticize when you've had it easy. I built a successful company out of nothing. Then one lousy quarter and the shareholders just voted me out. And now I'm clawing my way back and I will not allow the bad luck of being Scorpion's neighbor to derail me. I will also not allow someone to insult my work after everything that I've put into it. What do you even know about-about breaking your back to make it on your own?
Happy (listening to the comm): Someone's about to get schooled.
Paige: (absolutely livid) Let me tell you how easy I've had it. I'm a single mom. My son and I have lived in rat-infested motels, cold water apartments, and, for one week when he was three, my car. I've had my butt grabbed by every creep in L.A. who thinks my ass comes with the blue plate special. And I insulted your work because you put my team in jeopardy, and I wanted to hurt your feelings because you're being a jerk!!
