General

  • The Mashups in general are very visually and mechanically satisfying. Ranging from summoning a giant fireball to bring down upon your enemies, summoning spikes of ice to impale and freeze foes, to summoning a giant gravitational ball of energy to suck up the Noise, etc, it makes for incredibly satisfying results.
    • The Killer Remix, a powerful Mashup involving all party members unleashing a Magic Missile Storm at any Noise in their way before healing up the party.
  • Among the brands that don't return from the previous game is Gatito, as Hanekoma is on probation from the Higher Plane. Replacing it as the purveyor of Infinity +1 Pins is Gatto Nero, a highly popular brand that is currently taking Shibuya by storm... whose mascot is Mr. Mew. Yes, in the three years since TWEWY, Shiki and Eri are the purveyors of the most popular clothes in Shibuya and the strongest pins in the game.

Main Game

  • On Day 1, when Rindo and Fret are just starting out in the Game and are starting to get a handle of things, they proceed to get surrounded by a horde of Noise that are out to erase any poor, unsuspecting Players. Just when all hope seems lost, a mysterious figure shows up to wipe out the Noise in quick succession, all of the while spouting math terminology. It then turns out to be none other than Sho Minamimoto, who shows up to help the two boys out as a playable character. All while Transformation plays in the background.
  • Early on in the game, Rindo and company find themselves caught off guard by the Deep River Society’s ambush and Rindo is forced to Time Travel in order to find a way to counteract against this. With some good ol’ pragmatism, he is able to reroute all of the DRS goons into shirking their duties and prevent them from getting the jump on him and his friends, showcasing Rindo’s burgeoning leadership skills quite nicely.
  • Week 1 Day 7 has the Twisters finally face off against Susukichi, who proves a worthy challenge with a couple unique mechanics along with a heavy metal like battle theme. He's fought again at the end of Week 2.
  • At first it seems that Tsugumi will be the boss of Week 2 Day 2. Except the boss is actually Mr. Mew. Yes the boss is a sentient stuffed animal, sounds ridiculous but the fight is actually pretty awesome. You even fight Mr. Mew again on Week 2 Day 7 after the rematch with Susukichi.
  • After The Reveal of Motoi's true nature getting to fight him and watching the Twisters kick his ass is quite awesome and satisfying.
  • Just when it seems Tsugumi and Susukichi are beaten on Week 2 Day 7, Tsugumi goes One-Winged Angel and transforms into Grus Cantus to face the Twisters herself as the True Final Boss of Week 2.
  • Shoka betraying her fellow Reapers in order to officially join the Wicked Twisters at the end of Week 2 Day 7 and help save Shibuya. Also doubles as a Heartwarming Moment.
  • Neku's grand return begins with him pulling off a Big Damn Heroes moment by one-shotting a Dissonance powered Minamimoto who the Wicked Twisters had struggled against just moments before.
  • On Week 3 Day 6 Susukichi decides to go all out on the Twisters transforming in Cervus Cantus. The fight takes place under the expressway during a rain storm which lends to the climactic nature.
  • Shiba may not be the True Final Boss, but he sure gives it his all in a multi-stage all out fight against the Twisters.
  • Rhyme's elaborate plan to weaken the Dissonance and by extension Soul Pulvis. She involves nearly every major characters's special psychs on a grand scale and basically everyone in Shibuya. The plan culminates in Neku uttering "Focus" one his iconic lines from the original game. For fans of the series seeing all the characters come together is quite satisfying to see especially since the plan actually works.
  • The final fight against Phoenix Cantus is a colorful, epic clash with multiple phases serving as a excellent climax to the while journey.
  • Just like the previous game's boss-ending Fusion, the Wicked Twisters unleashes a Killer Remix to finish off the final boss. Each of the Twisters fire a beam that not only makes the Groove sky-rocket to 300%, it breaks beyond 300% to cap out at 999% before Rindo delivers the finishing blow.
