DOUBLE DETROIT SMASH!!!!!

All "Moments" pages are Spoilers Off, so unmarked spoilers below!

  • A villainous example with Big Bad Nine. He can use a total of nine Quirks including his own and is pretty much The Juggernaut as he shrugs off Class 1-A's attacks with minimal effort.
  • Really, the entire movie is this for Class 1-A. Unlike in the previous movie, everyone gets the chance to shine here. When they realize how long it'll take for help to get there, they all resolve to protect all the islanders with everything they have and defeat the villains if they have to. To that end, they craft an effective plan to splitting the villains up, and even after the villains prove to be stronger than what they can seemingly handle, they still push themselves to go beyond and win anyway.
    • Aoyama leads the charge by going full Twinkling, Plus Ultra, zapping away at Nine and forcing his minions to separate so they can be dealt with by groups lying in wait. Momo is providing backup with literal cannons, and is visibly exhausted (and likely out of lipids).
    • While in a cavern, Mina and Tokoyami are fighting Slice. The former are able to cut Slice's hair, and she gets angry and attacks Mina. Mina dodges the majority of the attacks (itself an awesome moment because it combines her skill at dancing with dodging) until she's hit and injured. Due to the darkness, Tokoyami's Dark Shadow goes utterly berserk and defeats Slice in short order afterwards.
    • Shoto's Unspoken Plan to defeat Chimera works perfectly as Iida, Tsuyu and Kirishima try to distract the latter so that Shoto can get close to him and freeze him from within. Iida runs faster than ever, providing a great distraction, while Kirishma tanks an attack to help get Shoto into position at "maximum hardness", being cracked and broken afterwards, but still alive. And then Shoto flash-freezes Chimera from the inside out. Awesome.
    • While it seemed fruitless at first, the plan to defeat Nine was ultimately very effective.
      • First, Uraraka, Sero, and Mineta throw constant landslides at him in order to force him to use his Quirks and begin wearing him down, with the former two starting off with barrages of rocks while Mineta builds up the bigger one. Once the bigger one is finished, they try to seal him off using Mineta's sticky balls to stick the rocks around him, and even manage to hold him for a bit.
      • After Nine breaks out out of his impromptu prison, Aoyama, being carried by Yaoyorzu, blasts him with Navel Laser despite already reaching his limit earlier in forcing the villains to split up.
      • Midoriya and Bakugo face off against Nine again and do much better than the first time around, showing impeccable teamwork. When it seems like they're on the ropes, Sero and Uraraka intervene despite already being damaged by some of Nine's earlier attacks. When they're taken out, that enrages Midoriya and Bakugo into attacking him even harder than they did before.
      • When it seems Nine has defeated Midoriya and Bakugo again, Shoji takes Mahoro and Katsuma and flees for the caverns while Jirou and Ojiro hold Nine off. The three, despite knowing they don't have a chance, pull out the stops to protect them, with Shoji in particular shielding them with his body numerous times. After they're all taken out, Midoriya and Bakugo swoop in for the save, and reveal that they managed to evade Nine's lightning bolt this time thanks to Kaminari, who managed to absorb it with his Quirk.
    • After Midoriya gives Bakugo One for All, the two use Detroit Smash to change the weather by dispelling Nine's Quirk. Then they plough through Nine's attacks and use their own attacks to defeat Nine once and for all.
      • Bakugo's explosion Quirk becomes so strong after taking in One For All that he can melt rocks with a mere touch. Apparently his ability evolved into fullscale Playing with Fire.
