Awesome / Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Go To

Issue #1

  • The single page shot of both teams charging each other while yelling their respective battle cries. As cliché as Let's You and Him Fight is, that scene is enough to stoke one's inner fanboy.
    Go Go Power Rangers!
    Turtle Power!
  • The lead up to the above moment has the Rangers teleport to a rooftop, having tracked Tommy's location to New York by the signal his morphing generated. Just as the Rangers are wondering where exactly he is, Tommy comes crashing through a wall, thrown by the Turtles. That's right, the Turtles were taking on Tommy Oliver and winning until his friends showed up.

Issue #2

Issue #3

  • Goldar is the only one of Rita's minions to fight back rather than hide.
  • Rita and a Power Coin-wielding Shredder battle to a draw. The two then decide to join forces against their enemies, with the promise of finishing their fight later.

Issue #4

  • In the previous issue, Rita and Shredder created an energy field that blocks the Rangers from using their Power Coins to morph. The Rangers get around this by giving the coins to April and the Turtles allowing to become Power Rangers.
  • With some encouragement from Splinter, the depowered teens take up ninja gear and weapons to find Tommy, proving that they are heroes because of their heart, courage and tenacity, not their powers.
  • Billy revealing that he planted a tracking device on Shredder during their fight in the last issue.
  • The Turtle Rangers forming their own version of the Power Blaster to destroy Wyldyre.
    Donnie: Power Staff
    April: power Bow
    Mikey: Power Chuks
    Raph: Power Sais
    Leo: Power Blades
    Everyone at once: Turtle Rangers!
  • The Ninja Rangers successfully infiltrate the Tehcnodrome, free Tommy and fight their way past Stockman's new Putty-human hybrids. For extra points, Tommy finally convinces his friend Tyler to leave the Foot behind.
  • Rita uses her magic to make Bebop and Rocksteady grow to giant size. As the teens' connection to the Morphing Grid still has yet to be restored, this means the Turtles have to fight Bebop and Rocksteady while piloting the Megazord.

Issue #5

  • Shredder has control of the Dragonzord and it, Bebop and Rocksteady overwhelm the Turtles. Cue the Rangers arriving in a giant-sized Metalhead courtesy of Billy's modifications to Donnie's shrinking ray.
  • Shredder orders Stockman to destroy the Megazord with the Technodrome. Zordon informs the Turtles of the Megazord's adaptive abilities. The result is the Megazord combining with Metalhead to form the Turtle Megazord, which makes short work of the Technodrome.
  • The Rangers distracting Shredder long enough for Tommy to get back his coin.
Tommy: I was expecting a little more resilience from a ninja master. Now let's see if I can finally dent that helmet.
  • Rita forcing the powerless Shredder to take her to his masters in Dimension X. An outraged Shredder realizes that this has been her plan all along.
  • The issue ends with Tommy and Raph having a rematch.

II: Issue #2

  • Since their first team-up, the Rangers and the Turtles have developed a system that allows them to share powers so long as they're in close proximity. As a result, we have the Turtles Rangers fighting alongside the Power Rangers, facing the Putties, the Foot, and the various monsters and mutants that serve Krang and Rita.
