  • His match with Jerry "The King" Lawler from Memphis on July 16, 1984 that is included on Volume 3 of the Wrestling Gold collection. The stipulation is that Lawler gets $1000 from Bundy's manager Jimmy Hart for every minute he lasts against Bundy. Lawler does everything he can to avoid Bundy and cost Hart more money. Hart distracts the ref, allowing Bundy to get a Chain and nail Lawler with it. Bundy splashes Lawler for the pin, the ref counts to three and Bundy demands a five-count and gets it. This was likely the only time Lawler ever took a five-count in Memphis.
  • The fact that, after leaving WWE in 1995, he never had to go back or ask WCW or, later, TNA for a job, since he was one of the first 80's stars to really make a career for himself in the independents.
