- The film opens with the shootout from the ending of The Return, then takes it further by showing Sheriff Meeker, state troopers, and members of the lynch mob tossing some dynamite down to ensure Michael's death after he had fallen through the mine shaft.
- Dr. Loomis, now 70 years old, traps Michael in a metal net, shoots him with tranquilizer darts, and beats the shit out of him with a 2x4...while having a stroke, no less!
- Sam Loomis: "I prayed he would burn in hell, but I knew, in my heart, hell would not have him."
- Tina and Samantha spend a lot of the movie being very annoying, yes, and it's understandable why they weren't popular, but they both deserve some credit for the following:
- When Michael kills Samantha's boyfriend, she screams, and then tries to fight back by charging at him with a pitchfork. She still dies, but she tried to fight back at least.
- Tina stopping to make sure Billy is okay after Michael tries to hit him with the car, and instead of fleeing, runs after Jamie and ultimately pulls a Heroic Sacrifice so Jamie can flee, even as she's dying she's still shouting at Jamie to run.
- Deputy Bloch trying to save Jamie from Michael, sure it winds up getting him killed but in a film with literal clown cops, Bloch was a refreshing change of pace being a competent cop with a heart of gold willing to put his life at risk to save a child.
- Although he ends up dying, its very awesome to see Sheriff Meeker take up arms and fight the man in black alongside his men. To the very end, Meeker was a badass.
- Doubles as a Tear Jerker considering Michael ruthlessly murders him, but the very nice hermit who looked after Michael for a year straight qualifies here as his actions were a long-term act of selfness.
- Doubles as Nightmare Fuel but the vent scene, who would have thought a 9-year-old would be one of the most remarkable Action Survivors in the series, against very impossible odds Jamie still manages to survive what would have been for most an impossible situation to escape from.
