Awesome / Dishonored: Death of the Outsider

Go To

  • At the end of the first mission, for the first time, you can properly witness what Daud's powers are to an outside observer, and how much more powerful he is in comparison to Corvo. In Dishonored 2, Corvo kills three men using his time stop ability. In this, Daud can subdue up to twenty Eyeless, non-lethally, on several different levels of the building the instant he's let out of the cage. The real kicker is that he's doing this while old and already dying, giving one last reminder that Daud in his prime was rightfully feared.
    • However, Corvo immediately tried to kill Delilah after those 3 guards. If he focused on the others first, he could have come up with an equal or higher body count. Not to mention the fact that he defeated Daud canonically. It's still a moment of awesome, however, since Daud was indeed sickly and close to death while taking out all those Eyeless.
  • Successfully completing the third mission is an in-universe example. You've just single-handedly circumvented and/or eliminated an entire slew of highly sophisticated security measures and broken into a bank's most heavily-guarded vault. Obviously becomes even more impressive if Billie does it without using her Void powers whatsoever.
    • Completing the rarest achievement in the game "The Perfect Crime" is all this but leaving all people and security systems completely untouched and unaware you were ever in the building.
    • Even more impressive is doing the job unseen without using the poppy tincture to knock people out, which is required for getting "The Perfect Crime", and not touching anyone, as you rob the most secure bank in the land while its defenses are at full strength. Bringing the vault through the floor is a particularly satisfying ending touch, as you ruin the bank in the most egregious-yet-inexplicable way possible while the bank is doing business with someone who wants to use the vault.
