For a simple game of diving and restaurant management, there are certainly plenty of cool moments that seem right out of an action movie!
- Dave the Diver, despite being a rotund and easily pushed around guy, doesn't seem to hesitate in going toe-to-toe with some of the largest and deadliest sea creatures. One of the bigger highlights as an example is the page image, when Dave has to fight a Kronosaurus
with a salvaged submarine missile launcher. - Dave's first encounter with the Ruthless Modern Pirates has him rush to cut open the net of a dolphin they're poaching while they're shooting at him. The next encounter has him fighting three armed pirates underwater with just his knife and harpoon gun while the action-pumping "Tunnel of Darkness" plays.
- Dr. Bacon gets a moment to shine when he recovers a Sea People tablet from a cave, runs into pirates as he exited the cave, then manages to outrun them in a high speed boat chase. All this while slightly tipsy from drinking a little too much at Bancho's.
- Although it is extremely rare to find, the sheer fact you can use Mjölnir in this game is awesome.
- When Clara dives to do the final blow on Klaus after it comes close to devouring Dave as its next meal. Although Dave weakened it before she came, it is quite something and the reward for it is helpful.
- Dave getting a statue commemorating his help in defeating Yawie. You can interact with it to see how Dave appreciates being immortalized next to their old king, and everyone in the village (aside maybe the guards) thinks of Dave as a friend.
- Bancho's culinary skills are superb and every time Dave brings back the ingredients he needs, he always impresses the people that are either doubtful or don't find his skills great.
- When you're confronting sharks, there's a chance where it charges at Dave and the "Moon Cursor" prompt shows up. Pull it off successfully, Dave swiftly dodges the attack and gives a heavy backstab to the shark.
- The PlayStation 5 reveal trailer also reveals a crossover with GODZILLA! It ends with a tease of Burning Godzilla vs Ebirah.
