  • Marth's amiibo when it was announced that it would be getting a reprint to coincide with Codename S.T.E.A.M. Sure, we won't know how many Marths will exactly be available, but it's good to know that "discontinued" amiibo have a chance of getting reprints.
    • So far, out of the Unicorn amiibo, Fox, Marth, Wii Fit Trainer, Villager, Captain Falcon, Little Mac, Pit, Rosalina, Lucario, Meta Knight, Shulk, Ike, King Dedede, Jigglypuff, Greninja, and Ness have had widespread restocks, with Jigglypuff and Fox becoming more common because of the restocks as well.
  • Amiibo scalping (re-selling the figures at an inflated price) has been a problem plaguing the fanbase for months. To counter this, Nintendo announces the Gold Mario amiibo as a Wal-Mart exclusive, has it go up for pre-order in the usual limited stock, and even has eBay, where scalping usually occurs, advertise it... and then announces that the pre-orders were only a small fraction of the figure's total stock! Scalpers BTFO indeed.
  • Spain, a place with insanely worse amiibo access than North America, is getting unavailable characters restocked. Que bueno.
  • Some players have been customizing their figures — usually with a repaint, but a few have been quite a bit more elaborate. Some of them are pretty damn impressive.
  • Being able to find a Rare or Unicorn amiibo in a store. The feeling you get when you actually see one of them before you on a store shelf when you know they're so valuable and scarce is amazing.
  • Much praise has been given to Amazon.com for handling the Palutena exclusive very well, initial crash notwithstanding.
  • Praise has been given for 5B for having decent stock, even for amiibo like Zero Suit Samus and Captain Olimar. However, locations could vary, especially for amiibo such as Bowser Jr., which either fill up aisles at Toys R Us (he's an exclusive there) or is nonexistent.
  • The mere fact that a Shovel Knight amiibo exists has many people excited. Especially since he's a relatively-unknown indie character and the only non-Nintendo-original figures so far have been Smash Bros. Guest Fighters.
    • The fact that Nintendo and Yacht Club Games are able to work with Game Grumps, who are not well-known for child-friendliness, to promote the Shovel Knight amiibo.
  • How Nintendo announced the second wave of the Super Mario amiibo figures? By revealing the Waluigi amiibo, via a reply to a tweet! Other figures were revealed shortly after, along with a new Mario Party game on the 3DS.
  • The Reveal of the Banjo-Kazooie amiibo, marking it as the first official Nintendo Product for the series in years.
