  • The entire premise of the game. Not only are you slowly rebuilding and giving your people new homes and seeing to their needs, which also builds their faith and love for you, you personally descend down to the surface in order to administer holy ass-whuppings upon Tanzra's followers. Playing god in other games simply just doesn't compare to how awesome it all is.
  • The champions added to Renaissance get their own moments:
    • Daniella Taking a Level in Badass when, after Teddy ends up as the proposed sacrifice to Zeppelin Wolf, she confronts him and tells him that no one will be sacrificed. This is despite her pleas for everyone to abandon the village just a few minutes prior, and her conviction is so strong it generates a shard of starlight and cements her position as the Champion of Bloodpool.
    • Alonso's Rousing Speech to boost the morale of the Kasandorans in fighting the Curse of the Pharaoh, despite the fact that he was lying about receiving inspiration from the Master. This marks a chapter in Alonso's Character Development where he goes from a mercenary who's Only in It for the Money into a genuine Jerk with a Heart of Gold by Becoming the Mask.
    • Shemaal gets a few during the Marahna chapter from repeatedly defeating the Angel with Politeness Judo: Leaving the Angel at a loss for words when explaining his beliefs, coming up with a plan to rescue the prisoners in Kalia's temple, and never being rash in his actions (despite the Angel thinking otherwise) after his realization he had been an Unwitting Pawn the whole time.
  • A possible one; the Angel mentions that it's odd that Zeppelin Wolf never noticed Daniella down in the basement of his own castle. The Angel, who has repeatedly mentioned sensing something odd about Zeppelin Wolf, suggests that some shred of the man Zeppelin Wolf possessed might have been in there, rendering him blind to the young girl trying to survive; if so, it's a testament to that man's willpower and kindness that he was able to effectively keep the monster possessing him blind to Daniella's presence.
  • One for a Tanzra Champion, and a bizarrely heartwarming one. The Tanzra Champion of Northwall, the Arctic Wyvern, was somehow able to act benevolently, a deed the Angel specifically says no creation of Tanzra's is capable of. Despite this seeming impossibility, the Arctic Wyvern, renaming himself Frost, was able to overcome his own Made of Evil nature and be a kind, helpful friend to Taia, who would later become one of the Six Heroes. He states he wanted to help the forlorn and lonely, a task he succeed at by helping Taia, totally overcoming his own nature; he's even able to do it again in the game, preventing himself from just outright killing the people of Northwall, because he wants Taia to live and be happy- his "legacy." No other Champion of Tanzra showcases this much independent thought, much less a moral backbone so strong they're able to effectively defy their own creator, however temporarily.
    • Depending on whether Taia would have survived without Frost's help, he might even have screwed over Tanzra in the bargain; as one of the Six Heroes, Taia's an important asset to the Lord of Light. Frost's legacy might well be Tanzra's defeat.
