Flags For Good is a flag company dedicated to selling flags that promote progressive causes. It was founded by Michael Green in 2020 out of a desire for a flag company that does not sell conservative or offensive flags alongside progressive ones. The company sells a wide variety of flags, including pride flags, American city flags, state flag redesigns, pride versions of state flags, progressive political flags, and many others. A fraction of all sales are donated to charity.

Flags For Good has multiple accounts where they create video content, including their YouTube channel, which can be found here, and their TikTok account, which can be found here.

The company also sponsors the vexillology podcast Flagged for Content, on which Michael has made multiple appearances.

Tropes:

  • Edutainment: Their video content tends to be informative about the history of flags.
  • Fictional Flag: Flags For Good sells a wide selection of original, proposed and unofficial flags.
    • The "Better State Flags" project is a series of redesigned American state flags due to the boring and ugly designs of many current state flags. These redesigns are of state flags that Michael perceives can be improved. They sell the original versions of already good state flags, but make improved versions of flags without currently good designs. The flags in this collection are divided into four categories, as shown by this map: kept original, which includes flags that did not need to be redesigned, such as Texas; minor edit, which includes flags that only needed a minor revision for the redesign, such as Florida; historical flag, which includes flags that are using already existing historical flags that are not currently in use such as Maine; and complete redesign, which includes flags that require a completely new flag due to the lack of positive qualities in the original flag, such as Pennsylvania.
    • While most of the redesigned state flags are original redesigns by Michael, some are already popular redesigns, such as the Minnesota flag redesign called the North Star Flag. It is extremely popular in Minnesota and is more beloved than the official state flag.
      • Another example of this is the Keystone Flag redesign of Pennsylvania's flag by Tara Stark. This flag is a blue, yellow, and green tricolor in the shape of a keystone and has become a very popular redesign in Pennsylvania.
    • There is also the "Gayer State Flags" collection, which includes pride versions of state flags, including ones based on the redesigns.
    • Although they don't have as many as state flags, they sell some redesigns of city flags as well.
    • They sell the flag representing the podcast Flagged for Content, nicknamed the Flag For Content. It has a blue background with a red flame in the center and a gold microphone inside it. There is a gold pattern on the right side of the flag.
  • 420, Blaze It: They sell a flag with a marijuana leaf called the "420 Marijuana Leaf Weed Flag".
  • Green Aesop: They sell multiple flags that promote environmental causes, donating to environmentalist charities as well.
  • The Mothman: They sell a version of the rainbow flag featuring Mothman that can be found here, as well as Mothman versions of other pride flags.
  • Queer Colors: Flags For Good is one of the largest manufacturers of pride flags, and a wide selection are sold by the company. These include pride versions of other flags, such as the American flag and state flags.
  • Wearing a Flag on Your Head: FFG sells multiple Maryland flag clothing items through a partnership with Route One Apparel, such as a beanie, body suit, and tie.
