** Mellow Mode's flutter jumping is much worse. In Woolly World, you had to wait until you got to the bottom of the arc to float again. Here, you don't. Meaning? With the right timing of one's button presses, you can goddamn FLY.

* WakeUpCallBoss: Spike the Piranha will likely give one a tough time if they were off guard from the cakewalks that were Octo Pirate and Tin Can Condor, mainly due to his very hectic bullet patterns.

* ContestedSequel: Crafted World is contested compared to Woolly World. The music is agreed to not be as good as previous Yoshi games and the souvenir hunting can feel a bit repetitive for those who are trying to get OneHundredPercentCompletion. Those who can get past those two elements, however, may or may not invariably think it's an EvenBetterSequel, since the stages are larger, more exploratory and creative in terms of settings.

* DemonicSpiders: "Be Afraid of the Dark"'s resident AxCrazy ragdolls are invincible, can easily outspeed Yoshi and swing their weapon in an overhead arc that's difficult to jump over. * ThatOneBoss: Technically, all the boss fights are this, since the players must complete them with a full heart meter, and not getting hit even once. However, the fight with consists of harder versions of already existing bosses, but you have to fight them all on a platform made of Donut Blocks, which fall if you stand on them too long. In the penultimate phase where he makes a HumongousMecha like Baby Bowser's [[spoiler:(Kamech?)]] he DESTROYS some or all of them, meaning you have to do some fancy Flutter Jumping to avoid falling. And in the final phase with the Go-Go Yoshi, you need to be incredibly fast and precise with your attacks or else you will lose a lot of Hearts (and thus you will have to start the fight over from the beginning).

In who's opinion? YMMV page or not, I didn't feel this is appropriate. I also felt it downplayed or otherwise glossed over what getting 100% completion really means in this game.

* ContestedSequel: Maybe "contested" seems too much, but after Yoshi's Woolly World was considered to be the best Yoshi game since the original Yoshi's Island, Crafted World had a lot of big shoes to fill. The music is agreed to not be as good as its predecessor's and the souvenir hunting can feel a bit repetitive for those who like getting 100%. Those who can get past those two elements, however, will invariably think it's an EvenBetterSequel, since the stages are larger, more exploratory and creative in terms of settings.

The first three phases are harder versions of the Tin-Can Condor, Gator Train, and Bowser fights, but the last phase is entirely new. For the second and last time in the whole game, you get to use the Yoshi tank (which you've only used in one other level) and defeat once and for all.

* ThatOneBoss: The fight with consists of harder versions of already existing bosses, but you have to fight them all on a platform made of Donut Blocks, which fall if you stand on them too long. So you'll have to deal with avoiding the many attacks, constantly moving around to avoid falling, and managing to deal damage on the boss. In the penultimate phase where he uses Baby Bowser's attacks, he DESTROYS some or all of them, meaning you have to do some fancy Flutter Jumping to avoid falling. And in the final phase with the Yoshi Tank, you need to be incredibly fast and precise with your attacks or else you will lose a lot of Hearts.

* NightmareFuel: "Be Afraid of the Dark" is a terrifying level in a cutesy, charming game. The level's primary enemies are invincible ragdolls with axes chasing you throughout the stage. They can pop out from the background at any moment, and can take up to a third of Yoshi's health. Even worse is the atmosphere, since almost everything is dark and dreary, and even the text boxes are ominous jumbled phrases that would feel more at home in a psychological horror game. And to top it all off, there's red paint on the walls as a stand-in for blood.

* ThatOneLevel: Pretty much every level in "Shadowville" consists of Yoshi being chased by invincible, unstoppable enemies. While rushing through the level still isn't too difficult, trying to take the time to get all of the collectibles can be a major pain. It doesn't help that one of these levels is NightmareFuel.

* MemeticMutation: Just minutes after the Story Trailer came out, similarly to Mario Tennis Aces, the Sundream Stone drew comparisons to the Infinity Gauntlet and people already compared it to Film/AvengersInfinityWar since it has five colored jewels. On that note, some have joked about how Baby Bowser and Kamek wanting to obtain all five jewels for their own purposes was their "endgame".
