* HarsherInHindsight: There is a BatFamilyCrossover with ''ComicBook/MilesMoralesSpiderMan'': the Beyond corporation now owns the rights to everything Spider-Man related, and gave Miles a "Cease & Desist" order to give up the identity. Although this was published shortly after the Creator/SteveDitko estate filed a lawsuit against Marvel over the rights to the characters created by Ditko (mainly Spider-Man, Dr. Strange and those introduced in the ''[[ComicBook/TheAmazingSpiderManLeeAndDitko The Amazing Spider-Man]]'' run), the story was written before it.

* AudienceAlienatingEra: After the previous run from Nick Spencer managed to WinBackTheCrowd, ''Beyond'' and [[ComicBook/TheAmazingSpiderManWellsAndRomitaJr its follow-up series]] became fraught with several fan controversies and complaints about the overall story direction -- in a sense, the fan dissatisfaction bears some similarities to parts of the Dan Slott era, but there are fewer defenders for Zeb Wells.

* AuthorsSavingThrow: After the events of ''ComicBook/DeadNoMoreTheCloneConspiracy'' and ''ComicBook/SpiderGeddon'', it seemed that Ben had been reset to factory settings, being more heroic over in ''ComicBook/SavageAvengers'' and ''ComicBook/IronMan2020Ongoing''. Issue #86 revealed that [[spoiler:Ben was still hurt by those events and Beyond employed LaserGuidedAmnesia on him to "fix" that.]]
