** A small one goes to Lizzie on Day 2 of Season 2 who, after escaping from Joel (one of the Boogeymen of the day), bets on Joel in "You Bet Your Life" that he would be the first to become a Red Name because he'd probably get himself killed as the Boogeyman... and was almost immediately proven right, gaining ''four lives'' in one go.
** At the start of Day 8 of Season 2, Martyn is accosted by the voice of [[spoiler:the Watcher]], who's NOT happy that he failed to kill Grian in the last session. Martyn freaks out and runs away in a blind panic as the voice screams at him that he's failed him, and that the deaths of the other Southlanders were his fault. However, while in this state of complete panic, Martyn ''finally'' manages to stand up for himself.
--->'''[[spoiler:The Watcher]]:''' It was NOT the way!\\

* FriendlyFandoms: Last Life fans are often very friendly with other Minecraft Roleplay fanbases like ''LetsPlay/EmpiresSMP'', ''LetsPlay/DreamSMP'' and the ''LetsPlay/HermitcraftServer'' due to the similarity in content and, in the case of Empires and Hermitcraft, the overlap of creators who play on both servers.[[labelnote:*]]Bdubs, Grian, Etho, Scar, Impulse, Mumbo, Ren, Tango and Cleo are part of Hermitcraft, Scott, Joel, Lizzie and Jimmy are part of Empires, and Pearl is part of both.[[/labelnote]]
* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments:
** From Season 1:
*** Midway through the first session, Cleo, Scar, Bdubs, Tango, Impulse, Scott, Jimmy and Etho all happen to run into eachother in the center of the map. They hang out there for a while, dancing to Bdubs's jukebox while Scott questions why he spent his one diamond on ''that'' of all things... before being interrupted by about ''twenty phantoms''. Cue mass panic as the entire group is forced to cram themselves into Bdubs's tiny little mine entrance.
*** After killing the entire flock of phantoms, Cleo nearly suffers the server's first death... ''[[https://youtu.be/ZCuqjCSvy9U?t=829 by tree]].''
*** After Scar spent almost a full session trying to threaten him into handing over the enchantment table, Ren's sheer ''bafflement'' at Scar's audacity to come to him asking to use the enchanter again is ''hilarious.''
*** When Scar turns red, Grian explains to his audience that, while he is still green and thus can't kill people directly, he's still under Scar's command, and believes that Scar is going to go "a bit crazy" and "do what Red names do". When Grian goes back to Scar, he's dragging around a bee on a leash, and insists that they go steal [=BigB=]'s cookie.
---->'''Grian:''' Your job is not to ''steal cookies'', your job is to take everyone else's lives!\\
'''Scar:''' No, I really want the cookie.
*** Scott and Jimmy managed to secure a cow that they named Daisy, and used her to start a cow farm underground. When Jimmy got a nametag, they named the original Daisy (although she was completely indistinguishable from the other cows), and vow to never kill her. Not ''two seconds later'', Scott accidentally clobbers Daisy to death.
---->'''Scott:''' I just did a bad thing...\\
'''Jimmy:''' NO YOU DID NOT!\\
'''Scott:''' ''(laughing, high-pitched)'' She moved in front of my axe!
** From Season 2:
*** After learning that Scott and Pearl have the Enchantment Table, Grian, Impulse and Mumbo decide to tunnel under the Scottage to try to find it. The trouble is, none of them can manage to stay quiet for more than a second, meaning Scott hears them almost instantly, and decides to poke his head into their tunnel. Cue the three of them running away screaming.
*** This happens ''again'' after Grian and Joel try to tunnel into the base to look for Scott and Pearl's villagers. Scott is pretty fed up with it at this point and tells them to scram.
---->'''Grian:''' Grian's not here now. Please leave a message after the beep. Beep!\\

* MemeticMutation: The finale of Season 2 went up on November 16th, 2021. This happened to also be the one-year anniversary of the Manburg-Pogtopia War on the ''LetsPlay/DreamSMP'', an event so significant that [[FanNickname/DreamSMP it's most commonly referred to as just "November 16th" in its fanbase]]. Dream SMP fans made a lot of jokes about "passing the torch", and fans of both Dream SMP ''and'' Last Life made plenty of memes about having brand new reasons to panic on November 16th.
* SignatureScene: The triple kill Grian gets from his TNT minecart trap on Day 4 of Season 1, primarily because it's the single deadliest (and therefore most impactful) event on the server thus far.
* TearJerker:
** Season 1:
*** After [[spoiler:Skizz's]] death in his POV video, there's a flashback montage of the good times he had with others in the series while the audio is faded out, complete with a somber piano piece to really sell the scene.
*** The ending of Season 1. Grian and Scar, who have been allies since the beginning, finally turn on each other, and Scar sides with Bdubs (the only other survivor of the epic battles that took place beforehand), costing Grian his second life. [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone Feeling remorse over what he did, Scar then kills Bdubs]] [[TheAtoner in an effort to make it up to Grian]], and begs Grian to kill him. Grian can't bring himself to do it, and the two fight to the death where their alliance truly began--the Red Desert, at Pizza's grave. Grian does indeed kill Scar, but there's no feeling of victory--just dread and loneliness. The SoleSurvivor of the series, [[DrivenToSuicide Grian decides to take his own life, and jumps off one of the Red Desert's mountains, dying on impact with the ground]].
** Season 2:
*** Scott turning red at the end of day 8. He'd spent the whole day knowing he was the Boogeyman, and knowing that if he did not kill one of his allies, he'd turn red. He was honest with his allies immediately, and made it clear that he did not want to betray any of them. In the end, his UndyingLoyalty is what did him in, and he's forced to leave the Survivors, including his closest allies Pearl and Cleo, behind, a fact he quietly accepts as he walks away.
---->'''Scott:''' I'm sorry... It's the way it was always gonna be. I couldn't do it. I failed. [...] I'll see you on the battlefield. Girlboss, Gaslight, we'll see which G is the last one standing.\\
'''Pearl:''' ''(quietly)'' See you soon, Gatekeep.
*** In general, any time someone turns red later in the season. Since you're no longer able to ally with red lives, a lot of alliances built up over the course of the season are broken as members are forced to leave and work to kill their former friends.
* WhatAnIdiot: After Grian's TNT trap turns out to be a dud, a bunch of people decide to go disarm it. Scott tells them to stay far away from the bomb and shoot it with arrows to destroy the TNT minecarts, but has to leave to stop Grian and Scar from destroying [=BigB=]'s house, leaving Ren, Skizz and Jimmy to deal with the bomb.
** '''You'd Expect:''' Ren, Jimmy and Skizz ''to simply follow Scott's instructions'', keeping their distance from the bomb and shooting it with arrows to disarm it. No, really, that's all they had to do.
** '''Alternatively:''' They could have left the bomb alone, waited nearby and kept an eye on it until Scott came back to help deal with it.
** '''Instead:''' Ren and Skizz stand right on the edge of the hole, while Jimmy climbs in to get a piece of TNT that dropped right next to the bomb, even though Scott has made it pretty clear the bomb is still a threat. By doing this, he nudges the TNT minecarts and sets off the bomb.
** '''As A Result:''' Jimmy blows up himself, Skizz, Ren, and all of their items, putting everyone who died on their final life except for Ren (who hadn't died up until then).

---->'''Grian:''' Grian's not here now. Please leave a message after the beep. Beep!\\
'''Scott:''' Hi Grian, this is Scott, I'd prefer it if you weren't ''in my base'' right now.

** The concept of the red lives is unnerving by itself. At any time, anyone can die, and go from a peaceful player to a cold-blooded killer with as only goal to kill everyone on the entire server. Hope you were on good terms with them before they turned...
*** It's first (and arguably best) shown with Scar. For the entire time he and Grian have run the Desert, nobody has taken him or his offers of an alliance too seriously. The ''instant'' he goes red, however, some people are so terrified that they immediately go back to Scar to re-negotiate.
** The Desert (Grian and Scar) are a terrifying duo when they want to be. Especially after Scar turned red, Grian took it as an opportunity to go ham on everyone else, and with permission from Scar, laid a TNT trap that wound up killing ''three'' people. Not only that, after seeing that two more people have turned red, Grian proposed inviting them to the faction, renaming it "[[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast The Red Desert]]", and changing its goal to ''taking out the entire server.'' And all this was before Grian even lost his first life (which took until Day 7), meaning the single deadliest event on the server was caused not by a red player as everyone feared, [[ParanoiaFuel but a then-unassuming green player]]. Grian just goes to show that you don't need to be a red-name to be a threat.
