** ''ComicBook/PunisherThePlatoon'': The story starts off with the author Michael Goodwin interviewing Frank's former subordinates about their experiences in Vietnam. A flashback shows Frank call in an airstrike against an abandoned village where enemy soldiers are waiting in ambush. the scene cuts to a survivor of the airstrike talking about what happened with a superior and swearing revenge. Then, the final panel of the issue shows the veterans looking stunned, and asking Goodwin, "How do you know this?", revealing that was something that the author just told ''them'' about. The next issue reveals the (fairly innocuous) answer: Goodwin also interviewed the NVA commander for his book, but at the moment the line is uttered, it's pretty startling and spooky.

** ''The Punisher: The Cell'': Castle turns himself in and is sentenced to Riker's Island, with the goal of targeting five high ranking Mafiosi being held there; Don Francisco Drago, Consigliere George Apostolo and their three enforcers Enzo Gaucci and the brothers Paulie and Philly Germaine. Rather then just target them when he can, he instead instigates a prison riot as cover. None of the Mafiosi can guess why Castle has gone so far for ''them'', when as far as they know he is only gunning for them because they are Mafia men. It isn't until he finally has them cornered that Castle reveals that [[TheStarscream Apostolo]] betrayed Drago many years ago and tried to have him killed, using Gaucci as a shooter, so he could replace him with his more pliable brother Tommy. Drago is livid at this revelation, but Apostolo makes a connection that makes him shit bricks...
