It may ''seem'' that Treebeast, Ivan and earlier heroes may be outclassed... until you find out that starting level 200, for every 25 levels, their damage is multiplied by four, and for every 1000 levels, their damage is multiplied by 10. They can even outdamage Frostleaf if you get them to 1000. (In fact, the hero with the greatest damage-to-cost potential before the addition of the new heroes was The Masked Samurai.) However, each hero will stop getting damage multipliers once they reach level 4000 or so (changed in a new update), meaning the fastest way to gain DPS once you've done that to every single hero is via Dark Ritual.

* AdamSmithHatesYourGuts: As can largely be expected from this type of game: each level-up is more expensive than the one before it. This also applies to hero souls, particularly summoning new Ancients: if you make bad choices early on, you might be screwed in the long run due to not having all the necessary Ancients available by the time summoning another one costs a 3-digit figure of souls. Thankfully you can reset your ancients but you still lose 25% of the souls you've spent on them.

* KillScreen: If you ever get that far, it's not possible to clear level 4725 as the boss there literally has ''infinite'' health, or '[=InfinK=]' HP. Even if you somehow obtain [=InfinK=] damage as well to defeat it, the game will glitch and won't count as the boss being defeated. You can somewhat fix this by getting several relics that reduces boss health so that the level 4725 boss has proper health instead of [=InfinK=] HP, but ''then'' you'll just be stopped by the next boss at level 4730 anyway.
