Hi! I am a perpetually disorganised physics student with a disorganised interest in stories. I'm thankful to many for showing me things in life I hadn't known were possible, most of which these:

  • How to Train Your Dragon (2010) for a story that (almost) doesn't have a villain, and whose conflict is about finding out you were fundamentally wrong about the world. And, of course, I am a huge fan of the visuals and the music.
  • Life Is Strange, which I ran into as I was changing schools and feeling very much like Max. At first I had no understanding for Chloe, but something flipped, and in the end I made a decision I never would have expected myself to make. I like to think that I still carry a bit of troublemaking spirit from her with me.
  • One Hundred Years of Solitude, which I binge-read in a panic on a school assignment one night till 1 AM during the first COVID lockdown, and then took a year to absorb the shock. It taught me that classical literature can be fun to read, that a powerful story beats all rules anybody has ever invented, and that the wonders (and horrors) of the world are endless and surpass human invention.
  • Durango: Wild Lands, an odd tale about human civilisation that I still return to for guidance on living in an uncertain world.
  • The Hollow, a decent murder mystery with a fascinating backstory. Somehow, in that book, Agatha Christie created a love story that reached even my cold heart.

As you can imagine now, my edits are kinda all over the place, and usually done as I'm desperately trying to make sense of something. Currently I'm trying to get my first trope off the launch pad.
